Burning Hearts on the Road

n the Relief Goddess Office, all is peaceful, beautiful music, soft lights, all is well. A bug pops out of the Yggdrasil Computer and lands behind Skuld, she immediatly chases it trying to smash it with her hammer. When she finally pegs the bug, she looks about herself to find several hundred more bugs multiplying each second! Keiichi sits at home wondering how to put this motorbike together in time for the big race competition, he asks himself how he got picked again to be the driver and why they say they will send the bike to him but end up sending the bike PARTS to Keiichi so he can put them together! (some friends eh?) Meanwhile, Belldandy is preparing a cake! Urd, being bored asks if she can help, Belldandy hands her a bowl and tells her stir until the eggs get creamy and standing up. Urd sits there stiring, now bored more then before and decides to speed things up with her magic but succeds in only making a mess. Urd decides to leave and heads into the living room and asks Keiichi if she can help. Keiichi politely but coldly tells her nothing she can help with. Urd tells him not to give her that excuse and chants a spell. Before Keiichi can stop her she uses her magic and succeds in blowing the nearly finished engine to pieces. Annoyed, Keiichi tells everyone that he's taking a bath.

In the tub Keiichi talks to himself about how he worked hard on the engine and now Urd blew it up! Keiichi has no other choice but to start over again. He looks at the other side of the tub and sees bubbles forming and rising in the water! Soon a portal opens and Skuld appears and yells hello! She looks around and sees no one and calls out if anyone is here, she looks down to see Keiichi stunned with amazement starting right at her! She becomes startled and screams! Her hammer comes smashing down on top of Keiichi poor skull! Urd comes into the room and asks what's going on! She sees the young girl and calls out her name SKULD.....Belldandy comes into the room and wants to know what is going on and as Skuld see's Belldandy she leaps to Belldandy and gives her a great big hug! ^_^ Skuld tells Belldandy that there is a wierd man over there(pointing to Keiichi) Belldandy see's Keiichi in the tub(apparently unconcious from the blow to the head) and pulls him out.

Skuld apologizes to Keiichi and Keiichi says that is alright. He introduces himself and his sister Megumi. Belldandy comes into the room with cake and tea!(Yummy!) They gather around the table as Belldandy hands them all a piece of cake and a cup of tea. Skuld tries some and her face lightens up and describes the taste like a Party in her mouth! She asks Belldandy if she made it and she replies "yes" and tells Skuld that it is her first attempt at making a cake from a local recipe. Belldandy asks Keiichi if he likes it and Keiichi tells her its wonderful, Belldandy blushes and Belldandy and Keiichi start flirting(sorta, i dunno what else to call it)and it starts to annoy Skuld and makes her very mad until she can't stand it no more and questions Keiichi why he did he have to make Belldandy do this!!(Skuld was referring to the wish Keiichi made) Skuld starts to cry as everyone at the table is stunned. Keiichi makes up an excuse for leaving the sisters alone to talk about it and says that he has to get back to work, Megumi goes with him. Belldandy asks Skuld what is wrong and Skuld just continues to cry and slams her fist onto the table and runs off to another room in the temple.

Belldandy follows Skuld and asks what is wrong. Skuld runs into Belldandy's arms still crying and tells Belldandy to return home with her, Belldandy tells Skuld she cant because of the contract and Skuld cant believe that such a contract was even approved! Skuld tells her that Urd hasn't returned either and she's having to deal with bugs by herself everyday now. Urd coomes in and assumes that Skuld is lonely but Skuld denies it. Skuld retaliates by using the fact that Urd is a goddess second class to make fun of her, urd very angry now charges up a fireball and Skuld pulls out one of her homemade bombs!(pretty kool) Belldandy stops them and apologizes to Skuld for making her lonely. Belldandy explains to Skuld that she hasn't been here just because of the contract, she's here to uphold a promise. As long as Keiichi needs her by his side then she will be there for him.

Keiichi's sempai's come and see that Keiichi is working so hard and tell him that they've bought him a present, it happens to be a twin engine! Keiichi now has to rebuild the motorcycle yet once again to put the second engine in!! At that moment Toshiyuki Aoshima comes and starts to look down on the Nekomi Motor Club by making fun of them and telling of how his club The Nekomi Four Wheels Club will beat them in no time at the race. Keiichi asks why he's here and Aoshima says to steal Belldandy away from him!! Belldandy walks in and Aoshima compliments her beauty and hands her roses!!(that weasel!) Aoshima leaves and reminds Tamiya of the little "bet they made on the outcome of the winner of the race. Keiichi wants to know what this "bet" is but his sempai's leave before they could answer. Keiichi and Megumi decide that they have to work fast and hard to get the bike ready by tomorrow's race!! Skuld she's the blue prints of the bike and is disgusted by the crappy blue prints and can't stand such awful blue prints so she does all the math and makes the perfect blue prints in about 10 seconds!!(wow!) Skuld looks over her shoulder to see Keiichi and Megumi starting at her! Skuld realizes what she just did imagines Keiichi and Belldandy together thanks to Skuld's work on the bike! Skuld yells at Keiichi telling him she hates him and walks away. Keiichi doesnt know what to do but tells Belldandy that she saved the day with these new blue prints. Belldandy tells him that she's sorry for Skuld's behavior and Skuld wasn't trying to be mean, Keiichi tells her its alright, she's only a kid and Skuld opens the door to her room and yells out that she is not a kid and sticks her tongue out at Keiichi!

Later that night after the bike is finished Skuld meets Keiichi outside, Keiichi thanks her for the blue prints and Skuld. Skuld answers by wanting to know why he made such a wish and what does he think of her. Keiichi tells her that ever since Belldandy came everyday has been joyus and happy, all his troubles seem to dissapear whenever she's around and now that Megumi,Urd and now Skuld are around, life should be much happier! Belldandy hears this from around the corner and smiles happily. Skuld can only reply to Keiichi's answer by saying "So What?"

The next day at the race track Aoshima comes over and looks over their bike and seems a bit impressed, nonetheless he still says that he'll mop the floor with them. Aoshima then tells Keiichi that when the race is over Belldandy will be joining Aoshima's club! Keiichi outraged at this says that it cant be done without the person's(Belldandy's) consent! Belldandy says its allright because it was a PROMISE that Tamiya made to Aoshima and Belldandy earlier said she will uphold a promise(she can't backout on her word you know!) Skuld overhearing the conversation believes that if Keiichi loses he'll break the contract and Belldandy can return home with Skuld! So Skuld had her plan.....

Skuld is seen entering the tent where Aoshima's racing Club's motorbike is as the race continues on. After a win by Keiichi he explains to Tamiya that the bike is vibrating and it won't be performing good in the finals if they plan to make it that far with the condition of the bike! Tamiya assigns members of the pit crew to begin repair on the bike. They hear from the announcer that Aoshima's club has got an amazing time! best time today! Skuld is glad and hopes it'll continue that way and she hopes Belldandy will realize what a jerk Keiichi is and dump him. Aoshima suspects something since in the test trials his bike never did that good.

The finals are between Aoshima's club and Keiichi's club. Keiichi tells Ootaki not to be so confident in him since the vibrations in the bike haven't stopped yet, so Ootaki believes that the problem is with the frame layout itself, all he can do is put a balencer onto the handlebars since that is their only option. Keiichi's chances of winning are slim but he after a beautiful speech that only a goddess could give is heard, Keiichi believes that he'll win, why not? he's got great allies Urd, Belldandy and now Skuld. Skuld surprised at hearing that Keiichi would still consider her as his friend after all she's said and done to him stares at Keiichi and starts to realize that she may be wrong about him.

The showdown begins as Keiichi realizes that he's losing to them! he says damn and thinks of losing Belldandy to that creep Aoshima! Then aoshima's bike's engine breaks and thus slowing them down(could this be the work of Skuld?) allowing Keiichi to WIN!!! Belldandy hugs Keiichi and Skuld seeing how happy she is smiles herself.
