Konya
This city is famous for the whirling dervishes. However, the day when they actually do the whirling only happens once every year and so, we did not see this...of course, you can always pay to see someone who is not a dervish do it but then again, it would not be the same. For your info, a dervish is a holy man in the Sufi sect of Islam. There really is nothing much to see here except for the tomb of Mevlana, the founder of the Sufi sect and some of his disciples.
We also stopped by the Sultanhani Caravanserai. During the 12th century, the caravansaray served as a pit-stop for travellers. It functions as a re-fuelling station (food and rest for camels), a public bath as well as a hotel and mosque, among other things.
