Madelaine West Duchovny's the name. Apparently both are ecstatic and will raise her as a Knicks fan! :-)))) Shooting is long over, and Duchovny will go to film his movie with Minnie Driver in a week. Well anyway, I have plenty of upcoming episode news. Spotnitz wrote the story and Shiban and Gilligan wrote the teleplay for "Field Trip," which should be a really really good episode. It will involve carnivorous fungi, and will mostly take place in Mulder or Scully's trips! In the finale there will be no Gibson- or Spender-related info at all, and more than one person will die, one of them a recurring character. It is not Skinner or Fowley. Skinner betrays Scully and Mulder, and there is "S.R. 819" continuity!! Scully will get some action scenes. And the rebels are talked about.

I have a ton of merchandise news. First of all we will be seeing much less X-Files stuff out there from now on. 1013 thought the market was close to "saturation," and pulled many items off the shelves, and allowed many companies' licenses to expire. However, my mention a while ago that another movie lunchbox may be made is probably going to come true. Well anyway, I was at Electronics Boutique and noticed a cool package--buy the game and get the movie free! They were both packaged together. It may be an exclusive but it's an official Fox item. Cool! Also the movie alien statue from Dark Horse would have come out April 28 but was delayed to May 5. :-( Here are two really, REALLY cool items from Brazil: A movie poster with only Mulder, and a promo shirt. Two more things: the movie crew wool hats were also available in cotton! And this is the COOLEST merchandise news in a while. Fox made a Lenticular (that is, 3-D/reflective) movie poster!!! However they were apparently damaged during printing so they weren't released, but I will try my best to obtain a picture. Finally, the X-Files video Web site was updated for Wave 7, with a new Mythology Matrix section and a new X-Quest.

IT'S A GIRL! David Duchovny missed Saturday's wrap party (anyone got a tape of the season 6 blooper reel!!) because that was the day she was born. What timing! Well congratulations to both parents!! I got a look at Wave 7, looks very nice. Didn't buy it because I have 5 of the episodes on tape anyway. I bought Bury the Hatchet by the Cranberries (my fav band of course) and the Disturbing Behavior score by Mark Snow instead. Both recommended! Now I can hardly wait for his next album, even though the X-Files suite was arranged by John Beal (a film trailer composer, but Snow authorized it). Incidentally the rumors that the album would contain Snow's previous X-Files theme song attempts are false. It is actually mostly music from other movies and TV shows he scored. Well, "The Unnatural" was amazing! Not just the comedy, but the spiritual parts, the emotional parts, the shippy parts (yes!), and of course the bonus mytharc revelations!!! (Which, BTW, I will take as fact, at least the Bounty Hunter being an enhanced type of grey part.) Scully was a little out of character at the beginning, especially since we're supposed to believe she was just being stalked in "Milagro," but the end was beautiful. Done perfectly! And Duchovny did a great job directing too. IN THE BIG INNING? Icing on the cake. I am confused as to where some of the SpoilerVille rumors came from, because a number of them were wrong. First Dales wasn't an alien! What else...Dales wasn't in it at all, it was his brother! And other things. I didn't notice a team called the Elysians, did you?

A bunch of spoilers and merchandise info following. Marita, Gibson, and the Bounty Hunter are unfortunately not in the finale. Probably the premiere though. Also there is supposed to be a huge surprise involving Skinner. I will NOT find this out or spoil anyone else either, and that goes for the apparently awesome cliffhanger too. And, the Lone Gunmen will come back for "Field Trip"! That is what Dean Haglund meant on his site when he said he had to film a scene with the Gunmen, and they were waiting for Téa Leoni to give birth, meaning that Duchovny wouldn't be available and freeing up time. And that episode will have a slide show...whatever that means. Maybe that refers to the slides Mulder showed Scully to illustrate killings in earlier episodes. It's supposed to be a really neat and different episode, and definitely not a noromo one. BTW did anyone else order autographed pictures of Haglund? I did!

I got a picture of the press kit I mentioned a loooong time ago featuring 4 other Fox movies. And closeups of 2 already mentioned items: the Intrigue stamper, for validating the free tickets given out at Oldsmobile dealers (included in the already listed sales kit), and the free Olds tickets themselves. And a new item, this is a really neat "On Sale/Available June 2" sign for the soundtrack. I don't have a picture, but there is also a 5-track promo for the soundtrack with Mike Oldfield, the Foo Fighters, Björk, Noel Gallagher, and the Dust Brothers.

Anyway, this was a big update! One more thing: Here is a review of the X-Files DVD. Looks good for fans!

4/25/99

Here are some tidbits from "Biogenesis," which will be amazing. First a character update. It appears that Gibson, the rebels, Cassandra, and Spender won't be in it. There is some confusion as to whether Covarrubias and Jeremiah Smith (and Spender...?) will be in it, because there may have been rewrites. However none of that matters because...Albert Hosteen from the "Anasazi" trilogy is in it!!!! Yes, our good Native American friend will return, hopefully continuing the loose ends at the end of "Paper Clip"...my guess is that Skinner tells Mulder about the Anasazi's memorization of the MJ files? Might tie into the nanites too. Also Skinner, Fowley, CSM, the Bounty Hunter, and Krycek are confirmed. Anyway the cliffhanger is supposed to be incredible. So, I will NOT spoil any of you, and I will try my best not to find out what it is! Now, the two alien artifacts previously mentioned are from the Ivory Coast (hence the beach scene). Something happens when an A.U. scientist puts the two together. He doesn't die, but the monkeys all witness this and turn evil apparently.... The artifacts cause Mulder's illness and he falls down stairs.

The movie DVD will have a full-length commentary, not just 30 minutes long. Reports otherwise are wrong. This is a picture of another movie crew t-shirt. This one also has the crew caterer's name on it.

Here's the official page for Mark Snow's new album. Among other things, it includes a 30-minute X-Files suite! There is a clip on the page, but it's only 30 seconds long and doesn't really have anything except a preview of a beefed-up theme. Anyway, "The Unnatural" is getting good reviews already. Guess we have this season's "Bad Blood" on our hands. That's it for now.

4/21/99 *Updated*

LATER UPDATE: Krycek joins the season finale ensemble!! The FX X-Files Declassified contest starts May 10, or send in your entries now from official magazine issue 10.

UPDATE: Read below first. Old Dales will in fact be in 6X20.

Mark Snow's new album comes out May 11. It will be called The Snow Files: The Film Music of Mark Snow. Check Sonic Images' Web site for info and clips to be posted soon. Anyway, season finale news follows! It was filming in UCLA, but that scene takes place at American University in D.C. The scene will have a bunch of monkeys in cages in the background. Mulder will find 2 artifacts he believes are of alien origin--but they turn out, apparently, to be religious symbols. Other random things are that Mulder and Scully will find a body crushed in a garbage compactor, and Mulder will go nuts?? Could be a result of this infection we're hearing about. Another scene will be at a beach! General notes about the episode: Mulder is less trusting of Fowley, the black oil is awaiting colonization on Mars!!, and the disease Mulder gets has nothing to do with the black oil but with human genes...activation of the alien genes maybe?? Rob Bowman is directing the finale!!, and Kim Manners instead of Michael Watkins did "Field Trip," which was earlier filming in a cave. "The Unnatural" was supposed to have narration by the present-day Dales (Darren McGavin), but that may have been cut due to problems with too much of McGavin or something. The young Dales is definitely in it though.

BTW, I got 20 MB more Web space from FortuneCity at tatooine.fortunecity.com/gibson/445/, but it doesn't allow files more than 1 MB! So I can't upload the videos that I didn't have space for before.

4/19/99

"Milagro"...wow! That was the best standalone to come around in a long time. I love all character pieces like "Christmas Carol" etc. and this was no exception. I liked Manners' direction, Carter's script was incredible and the story by Spotnitz and Shiban was ingenious. The acting was great all around, especially Padgett. The music too. Well "The Unnatural" looks pretty silly, but I'm looking forward to it anyway. Here's to hoping it's of the "Bad Blood" type of humor and not "The Rain King"...ugh. I miss having only 1 humorous episode a year, so it was always a surprise. Oh well! Anyway I have some interesting news today. First, Rob Bowman will in fact be directing I Am Legend with Arnold! Possibly Nicholas Cage will star instead but go Rob!! The project was on hold until now. And here is great news on "Three of a Kind": A character from previous episodes (other than the Lone Gunmen of course) will make a reappearance. That person is Morris Fletcher from the "Dreamland" 2-parter!! Can't wait.

Anyway, thanks to Jason for the following info: the "exclusive" fan club movie poster (the blue one) is available in stores, particularly Media Play. Weird!! Also there are 2 new sets of stamps (coming out soon) featuring the movie posters, but this time they are distorted. There is one with Krycek (poster A) and another general (poster B) one. Also I have pictures of the flat versions of trailers B and C. Finally, thanks to Olavi Stenroos for sending me this picture of the Finnish version of the Special Edition movie video.

I have a bunch of news today, but first some tidbits. I think that "Shades of Gray" was a bogus (previous) title for 6X20. What I think happened is that someone went to EIDC's Shoot Sheet and saw "SHADES OF GRAY" listed next to Twentieth Century Fox and assumed it was for the X-Files. However I just found out that Fox produced a pilot for next season called Shades of Gray. I'll keep it as a previous title anyway. You never know! Well, that mystery solved and a lesson learned: Never trust rumors! Oops, wait, but you can trust me! Anyway, with Morgan and Wong's The Wonder Cabinet comes more XF-related stuff: XF director David Nutter and Jonathan "Riker" Frakes are producing a new show called Roswell High for Fox. We'll be getting some interesting XF-like shows next season (Harsh Realm included of course!). And in addition to the movie Flight 180, our dynamic duo Morgan and Wong are writing a screenplay called The Mark to star Will Smith. Smith apparently asked them to make it more like The Matrix, after declining the role of Morpheus then kicking himself very hard after seeing how good it was. Oh yeah, those wondering when I will get rid of my homepage for a new look, that is in the works. That and a new name. I'll keep you posted! I'd also just like to get something off my chest--I think the X-Files Timeline is getting to people's heads. Not that it's a bad site--it's great! But the summaries of episodes posted the morning of the air date ruins the surprise! Why read the entire summary if you can wait a few hours to see the real thing? Why spoil the end if you can be surprised by watching the episode unknowing, with no lights on?!?! That is why I also try to stay away from reading spoilers that are too detailed or give away too much--I've had bad experiences, like learning that the X-Files would be burned in "The End," etc. Stuff that I would rather find out while watching the episode, not weeks before. Anyone feel the same way?? [END RANT]

Well then, the X-Files movie DVD has new artwork (it was changed). Much better! Also there are rumors that (1) it will include the TV spots, (2) it will have DVD-ROM content consisting of Web links, and (3) that the audio commentary is only 30 minutes long (not the entire length of the film). We'll see. Now, I found the official Mexican (Peruvian?) X-Files movie site! Months late! It's at www.peru.com/x-files/. Speaking of which, here is the Mexican rental video cover. Same but different language. Apparently renting that plus another Fox video will get you a free X-Files movie calendar! Any info on this anyone? Oh yeah, the Australian rental videos have been available "ex-rental" since April 1. I have 3 more pictures of items too--a ticket to the German movie premiere, a picture of trailer A flat version (I already have one of trailer B scope version), and a second copy of the movie script. There seem to be two different copied versions of the script being sold, and this is the second. I already have the first with a picture listed.

Anyway, a "Biogenesis" scene was filming in a hospital corridor with Skinner, Scully, and Fowley. Mulder is heard screaming off-screen! And about the Samantha issue not being resolved next season...well it seems that it will. And, July 2002 sounds like the most realistic release date for the movie sequel, and Rob Bowman said in May 1998 (at an EXPO) that Spender and Krycek will be in it...but then again that was a looong time ago. Thanks to GF2020 on SpoilerVille for putting down all the rumors!! BTW "Milagro" should be good, especially since Kim Manners called it a "great hour of television"--he described "Home" in almost the same words! All right!

First some random stuff: Listed in The Oxford Book of Quotations is one of the most popular phrases of the 20th century: "The Truth is Out There." Not bad!! Here is something weird. Last month Fox reserved three X-Files-related Internet domains--foxmulder.com, xfilesstore.com, and xfilescomics.com--but none of them work yet. This is in addition to www.x-filesdvd.com, reserved in October, which links to Fox Home. Also, Dean Haglund's site has been updated, and you can now order autographed photos from him--part of the money goes to charity. The updated sections are Gallery, Travel, Buzz, and Calendar.

I have the print ads for "Alpha" and "Milagro" up. And, "The Unnatural" will feature DD's director brother Danny in a small part. Apparently his father was in the pilot!

Now, I have a picture of the U.K. X-Files movie Odeon shirt. I have also confirmed that the U.K. Special Editions have transparent red cases and metallic videos (not clear). Here is a much better picture of the entire cover, front and back. They did a nice job with this one! Finally, the movie DVD will also include a collector's card (the same as the one that comes with the video?), and apparently only trailers A & C as in the video, not all three. It is being called a Special Edition now, and it looks like there may be some extra footage in addition to the Samantha scene, because the videos & LaserDiscs have a running time of 121 minutes, while the DVD's is 123.

First off, I forgot to write what I thought about "Trevor" yesterday. Oh well. I thought it was great! Acting, directing, story, writing, all good. Plenty of action and I loved Mark Snow's music for the episode--a little different than usual. Did you notice that Lariat is back in business? :-) Overall one of the best MOTWs this season, this is going to be a classic to be remembered. Anyway...aside from the 12x12" promo flat for the albums, there is also a 12x12" 3D flat with a pop-out "X"--here's the picture.

4/12/99

"Home" will be uncut and uncensored in Wave 7--confirmed again for April 27--whether or not that means it was censored in the original Fox broadcast. It will also be uncensored in the upcoming FX rebroadcast. Does anyone know about the original airing? It looks like Fox has ditched the "Wave" name as it has the "File" and "Dossier." This is apparently also a limited release. Anyway, if anyone could scan in the new alien statue ad in the latest official magazine, #10, that would be great. It looks like DD's episode will in fact be called "The Unnatural." And to clear up rumors about "Three of a Kind," Mulder won't be in it, we won't see the Gunmobile, the episode never had anything to do with nanotechnology, it will involve a drug, and Langly shoots Modeski...sort of. Don't know exactly what that means, sorry.

4/10/99

I just wanted to update on Stacey O., webmaster of the Carter Connection who died of an aneurysm. Apparently most people think that the episode with her name in it (Ten Thirteen agreed to do it) was "Alpha" with Karin Berquist's assistant named Stacey Muir. Anyway, the agents for both Laurie Holden and Jeff Gulka have been contacted recently, so it looks like Gibson and Marita too will be in the finale, and if not that the season 7 premiere. Speaking of which, the Season 7 Spoilers page is now up, and I've adjusted the Season 6 Spoilers page by moving the season 7 and sequel info to the season 7 page. I've also taken out all the irrelevant rumors. And just to let everyone know, the alleged season 7 schedules with all the episode titles going around are totally made up. Finally, two small tidbits: Scully giggles a lot in "Three of a Kind"...I don't know what to think! It sounds way out of character, and I hope this doesn't fall under the category of X-Files Lite. And in "Black Diamond" the "ice cream" rumor is referring to ice cream sandwiches.

4/9/99

I got some more spoilers on "Milagro," possibly contradicting the previous ones, but these are reliable (official magazine #10). The killer, Phillip Padgett, tries to rip Scully's heart out of her chest! He is an artist and draws a picture of Scully, and leaves gifts at their office door. For the first time, we will see Mulder's apartment's lobby and a bathroom in it. It sounds like Padgett already lived next to Mulder.

Now, I got a picture of a second ad for the watches. This has all three on it, but the third (blue) doesn't have the "Fight the Future" text. That is because that was added to the product after the initial prototype--the picture was made before the change. I had that info a long time ago. Also, here is a picture of a watch with a plastic (not metal) case. These come with watches bought in stores. I've also seen them in cheap white cardboard cases at Suncoast, but I already noted that in the Merchandise section. In that section also, I had a listing for the "Online Press Kit." If you're wondering about that, that was something I was expecting to come out since Fox Movies had a section called Press Room, coming soon. But that is gone now, so I assume there won't be one. It probably would have included pictures and other media (should have put it in Media anyway!).

OK, the writers for "Trevor," the freelancers, are Ken Hawryliw and Jim Guttridge. Guttridge is a Grammy-nominated composer and Hawryliw is the X-Files' prop master. He designed the PLAM and the fire wand!! He's currently working on a book called The Building of The X-Files. If his name sounds familiar, it's because he played himself in "Unusual Suspects." He was the fat dude accused of hacking into the government's computers, but he was really playing a computer game. Anyway, the episode is supposed to be really good, especially the bad guy's acting. Now on to some random tidbits. The rumor that Carter has finished the sequel script has been confirmed as FALSE, he hasn't even started. It's in thinking stages now. Two unconfirmed rumored titles for DD's episode are "Roswell" and "Aliens in the Outfield"; they may even be jokes or nicknames, but I'll put them in Episode Titles anyway. The Region 2 DVD version of the movie will come out sometime in early 2000 for R2-coded players in other countries. And finally, guess how many years the Harsh Realm cast has already signed on for? 7!! That's how high the expectations are for the success of this show. Oh yeah, if you're a Brimstone fan and want to save it, check out this site. I never got a chance to watch it.

4/7/99 *Updated*

I have the title and plot summary for the season finale!!!!!!! It is going to be so awesome. It's called "Biogenesis" and is about a doctor who believes in panspermia, the theory that life came from space (or Mars). He finds an artifact to support the theory, but one of his colleagues has alterior motives having to do with the discovery. Mulder goes to New Mexico (the Anasazi are back??!) and is admitted into a hospital showing bizarre symptoms--the doctors are Native American. Meanwhile, an African peasant shows Scully the artifact. WOW! Anyway, the quote from "Milagro" isn't from Mulder, it's from the suspect Scully falls for.

This paragraph is an update--GeoCities wouldn't let me on. Anyway, here is more detailed information on "Milagro," from a friend of someone whom Kim Manners let on the set. The author's stories always come true--whatever he writes happens. M&S get called in after some strange killings, and the writer, apparently a loser-type, gets attached to Scully, not the other way around. He then uses his power to his advantage. He moves in right next to Mulder's apartment (Scully's complex is full) and Scully goes into his apartment, following his story. He takes her to the bedroom and there is romance between them. The guy tells Scully everything, and of his scheming, all while suspicious (jealous?) Mulder is listening through the vent. That's all the info the source provided (and enough!).

I just downloaded the HBO TV spot for the movie and it's really cool. Check the binaries newsgroup to download it, or the group's archive which should have it up soon, at which time I will link to it. (UPDATE: Here it is!) I also have on videotape both video TV spots, so if anyone is willing to capture, I'll upload them. Does anyone have the other movie TV spots on tape that the official site didn't archive? Well, last thing, there was a cap made for the movie crew, black with the logo in blue on the front, "Fight the Future" on the back.

Here's the latest rundown on season 6.... These are the characters who will most likely be in the finale, and most of them are confirmed: Gibson (!), Spender (!!!), Fowley, Skinner, the Bounty Hunter, Jeremiah Smith, Krycek (!!), and CSM. "Field Trip" will literally be about a trip in the fields--Mulder and Scully get a buzz from mushrooms in a field when they touch them! And "Milagro" looks to be the shippy episode of the season. Check out this line: "I want you to love me, but you love someone else." That is Mulder to Scully. Wow! Now about the sequel, apparently it has not been written yet, that was a false rumor. Also the rumor that it would be a MOTW came from Fox execs who didn't want more confused audiences for the sequel. Also don't forget to check out Episode Titles--I added a bunch of stuff to it including a breakdown on the types of titles and a comparison to Millennium titles. It took me a while, so if you went to the page earlier today and it was screwy, check again, it's fixed now.

Anyway, there was a promo t-shirt made for the U.K. Odeon cinemas, with the "X" on the front and "ODEON" on the back; the text is silver and the shirt is black.

4/5/99

I have a large amount of interesting news today. I will start with the season 6 and season 7 news (yes, that far in the future), but I have some really cool merchandise news farther down. In Spain season 6 starts April 18 on Tele5. "Black Diamond" will have the shapeshifting aliens infiltrating the Negro Leagues in 1947 so that they can travel without being noticed (how clever...). Dales is sent to protect an important player after they are exposed--one of them is hit, oozing green blood. It turns out Dales himself is an alien! Which means the aliens were keeping all the "real" people in hiding somewhere. This gives us a good background on the conspiracy--the bounty hunters came right after Roswell, way before "Colony." Apparently this is the first X-File investigated by the FBI, but probably not the first X-File because that would contradict "Shapes."

Now on to season 7 rumors. According to someone who has a friend working at Ten Thirteen (thanks to Daniel Wood on SpoilerVille for posting the info), they are going back to Vancouver to film an episode currently titled "Always"--that would really be cool. It wasn't clear whether it's filming now or later, but the story will need Vancouver's snow and dark forests. It is a mythology episode in which M&S get trapped in the ice and think they are going to die. They have a long discussion about everything we've all been wanting them to talk about--Mulder says he is glad he is dying with her. Another rumor from AV is that there will be a mythology 2-parter in February 2000 about a group of astronauts who come back infected with something, involving the black oil and colonization. It is supposed to be like "Ice"--could these two rumors be talking about the same episodes? AV also says that the season 7 finale will lead into a movie on the colonization.

Glen Morgan and James Wong update--the casting for their upcoming series pilot The Wonder Cabinet has completed, and it will star Poppy Montgomery, James Morrison, Currie Graham, and Kim Coats. It is about 3 doctors curing strange medical anomalies. Their movie, Flight 180, is about a plane crash predicted by Alex Browning, who goes on to discover the reason why the people who missed the crash (because of him) are dying. Morgan is producing and Wong is directing; it stars Devon Sawa and Ali Larter; and production starts in May.

And now the merchandise news. The official fan club has launched their online store, The Vault. It is really neat, and currently has 3 movie items: the movie magazine, a special-edition French movie poster, and a limited-edition movie poster, both 24x32". The latter solves the mystery of that picture in the latest issue of the official magazine--that's it! Very nice, and if you're a fan club member you get 10% off everything, and access to club-only items. I wonder if the renewal package's included poster is the limited-edition movie poster.

4/4/99 *Updated*

Let me ask you: Is the tagline for The Matrix a big coincidence or a big ripoff ("The fight for the future begins....")?? Well, the title for 6X21 is "Field Trip." Here is a brief summary of "Milagro": When Mulder and Scully shadow a killer who leaves no clues, Scully finds herself enthralled by Mulder's prime suspect. That's all for now.

I've developed this bad habit of posting the day's news and then finding something I missed and quickly adding it to the same update. Sorry if you guys miss these additions, but watch for the "*Updated*" signal! Anyway, some interesting new rumors for the sequel: "Carter has, in fact, hinted at a 2001 release. Carter said that next season, what really happened to Mulder's sister won't be resolved, leaving it open to be resolved in the next movie. Apparently Carter confirmed that he wrote the movie and that Rob Bowman will once again direct it." Hmmmmmmm.

Before I forget, I would like to tell everyone to see The Matrix--this movie was incredible. It will knock your socks off. Definitely worth it. I saw it on Wednesday but kept forgetting to post it here. (Check out the official site!) And also before I forget, did anyone else notice that the text in parts of "Alpha" was screwy? First we had that crazy yellow font for the subtitles in the beginning. That was nuts. But in the middle of the episode, the text in the lower left looked different than usual. A little smaller...I don't know exactly, but they screwed it up, and it went back to normal by the end. Speaking of the text, it seems that it's just a little different coming out of L.A. than from Vancouver. I think the postproduction people didn't quite match the speed of the rolling text, because this season it's choppier and slower. Just food for thought, that's what it seems like to me.

Back to business. I have some new info on the "Lies"/"Plans" (6X21/6X22) dilemma. 6X21 is definitely a stand-alone episode, and the "Lies" title is most likely a lie, but for now I'll assume that that is the title for 6X22, and "Plans" is the season 7 premiere. No info on 6X21's title, but here's what I do know (thanks to GF2020!): It is a suspense episode directed by Michael Watkins and written by either John Shiban or David Amann--Skinner will be in it too. I'm trying to find out as much as I can on this. 6X20 info...the Bounty Hunter will be going after the baseball-loving alien. Season finale info...the rumors that all the Bounty Hunters are going to be killed off may be either false or premature. Finally, the "One Son" video will come out in U.K. on June 26.

4/2/99 *Updated*

UPDATE: If you were confused by today's update, let me give it to you in a nutshell: "Lies" was supposed to be part 1 of 3, with "Plans" part 2 of 3 and part 3 would be the season 7 premiere. Now it seems that "Plans" is part 1 of 2, and I don't know what that means for "Lies"--will it be a completely different episode, a MOTW, or a stand-alone mythology episode? We'll see. Anyway, I have info on 2 new stickers:

"2 FANTASTIC-looking X-Files Fight The Future stickers! The first sticker (4x4") features Mulder and Scully posed back to back with their faces underlit with an eerie light. Sticker has the X-Files Fight The Future logo across bottom of image. The second sticker (4x4.5") features a collage of ghostly images featuring Scully in a parka looking toward the sky, Mulder with his hands crossed deep in thought, and Mulder and Scully finally finding 'THE TRUTH.' BOTH LOOK SUPER AWESOME!"

Turn to page 14 of the latest issue of the official magazine. The picture at the bottom...could it be the same as the last sticker?? And one more thing: I switched over the Info section to the new design, and fixed the links and it's much better organized. Check it out!

The end of season 6 is not going to be what we expected. First, Fox was supposed to air Independence Day on May 2, but that has been moved back to May 23, so all the episodes are being moved up one week to fill in the May 2 slot, with the season ending May 16. The order of the episodes hasn't changed, going from 6X18 "Milagro" to 6X20 "Black Diamond" (or whatever it's called now) to 6X19 "Three of a Kind." After that, however, will probably be a non-mythology episode instead of part 1 of the finale. Yes, according to a Fox press release, the season finale will only be part 1 of 2, part 2 being season 7's premiere. The episode, 6X21, will have to do with a strange double murder in which only the victims' skeletons are found in an open field. I don't know the title or anything else about this episode. Maybe this is "Lies" after all, but I really don't know. Come to think of it, the skeletons could be burned bodies from the rebels, and this could be a standalone mythology episode. In the Season 6 Spoilers page, I will say for now that "Lies" is a mythology episode until I learn more. And one more thing, here is a short summary of "Three of a Kind": Scully is tricked by the Lone Gunmen into accompanying them to Las Vegas, where they make a startling discovery. This info from Sea on SpoilerVille.

Quick update, David Duchovny's episode had yet another title change so now it's "Black Diamond." Expect more changes, because apparently Duchovny is having fun screwing around with us fans. It's kinda cool to be the butt of his jokes, it really is. And one more thing about his episode--there will be an interesting connection between Mulder stealing some ice cream, Scully getting mad at him, and a sticky mess in his office, if you catch my drift. That's all for now.

There is yet another new t-shirt. Here is the back, the front has the standard logo. This is different from the shirt with the logo on the front and "The X-Files" on the back. And it's different from the one that has "Fight the Future" on the front and "The X-Files" on the back. Those two are already listed, the latter with a picture. And, there was another promo poster made for the soundtrack, only 900 printed. It's about 3x3'.

LATE UPDATE: Here are some new merchandise items: Chechenia's stamp set had the poster C background. Now, Dagestan has a set with the poster A background, and Buriatia has a set with the poster B background. But none of the individual stamps are from the movie for those two sets. Chechenia's set does have some movie stamps, however. Now, I have a picture of the movie crew flight bomber jacket which has been listed for a very long time. Here is the back and here is a closeup of the logo. Also I updated the air dates on the Season 6 Spoilers page.

I thought "Alpha" was great. I really did. The effects were great, Peter Markle did some excellent directing, and the poster...the poster! That was just the icing on the cake. Sure it was predictible, but I loved the "Don't go in there!" factor, the dark lighting, smoke.... It was a scary episode too. I don't see anything wrong with animal episodes, and this is no exception. Jeff Bell is now off my "People to Fire" list. Anyway, I have two things to mention before I begin this cool update. (1) There have been at least two major cases of Web sites copying material off my site and not crediting it. Don't let me catch you doing that. Either just link to my site or give proper credit. (2) Yes this site has a guestbook. Click "My Guestbook" at the top of any page. Go ahead, sign it! To view it, go to any of the "sister sites" (for lack of any better name)--the GeoCities accounts I use for Web space, linked to from the home page. They have links to view the guestbook.

I have some awesome merchandise news. The U.K. movie videos came out today. 3 is not the number of total versions. That number would be 5. 5!!!!!!!! We have the rental version and the pan & scan and widescreen Special Editions. This is new--the Special Edition Limited First Edition has a black card box, not red, and each one is numbered. There are pan & scan and widescreen versions of this. Wow! Sure we got the Collector's Edition box set, but 5 videos???!!! BTW, the tapes are black, not clear. That info was false. Well anyway, thanks again to Christopher Wooff for that info, and also this: X-Files Movie Torches will be released in the U.K. Not sure what these are--maybe promos for the video release. The torches that the cavemen held, or just another word for flashlight?? There are 3, and they are black. Hopefully scans coming soon. The "One Son" video will come to U.K. around May 7, with the same puzzle card, etc. as the Australian version. Files 1-12 are going to be withdrawn everywhere they are sold--Wooff thinks maybe there will be a new system to replace the Files. Maybe the Waves? Anyway...I found out about a set of "X-Files Movie Jumbo Postcards" that may be just a name for something already on this site, or something new entirely. Anyone know about this? Also it seems that Wave 7 will arrive on time; another source has nothing on the cancellation.

Finally, it seems that the directors for "Lies" and "Plans" won't be Michael Watkins and Kim Manners respectively, but Manners then Rob Bowman (fine with me!!). That is from Dana Foxee on SpoilerVille. And, "Trevor" will involve a convict who escaped from prison--of course, using his powers to walk through walls.

Howdy, don't forget that Futurama airs today instead of That 70s Show. It's gonna be a good 1.5 hours of television! Or 2, counting The Simpsons, of course. Anyway, I wanted to clear something up first: I had put in the Season 6 Spoilers and Episode Titles pages that "Xeox Pur Soli" and "Weary Men" were the previous titles of "S.R. 819" and "The Rain King," respectively. I found out that in fact "Two Fathers"/"One Son" was going to be called "Xeox Pur Soli"/"Weary Men," so that clears up what those previous titles are from. Anyway, yes, I still update the Fun subsection in the Archive section. In fact, the latest addition is this picture. I won't say what I think about "Alpha," because Jeff Bell's previous episode was really poor. The previews don't show much except people talking, but since it's a cool premise, I'll hope for a good, scary episode. BTW, I'd like to take a moment to praise Kim Manners for the two best MOTW episodes: "Grotesque" and "Home." Based solely on directorial aspects, I'd still say they were the best, but they have good acting and stories to boot. Manners is one of the best directors on TV. Rob Bowman is the best. Cases in point: "731" and "One Son." "Trevor," BTW, directed by him, sounds good so that should be well done too. OK, I'm done. Wait, one more thing: Anyone notice how the official "One Son" episode summary is cut off? It hasn't been fixed, even after the latest update. Crazy.

I have some new info on the Video CDs. A Video CD version of the Making of movie special (I assume the one with Mitch Pileggi?) was made. It was released in Asia. Here is the front, here is the back. I also found another version of the bootlegged movie Video CD's back--here it is. How dumb are these guys anyway? The description is of the game, but the pictures are from the movie. The other version of the bootlegged back cover has the movie description instead. And, it seems that the video was bootlegged too. Here is the front and here is the back. Also, I have pictures of 3 new items. First, here is another promo single for "Walking After You" by the Foo Fighters, but this one is from the U.S. It looks very different. This is an advance printing of the U.K. movie video (rental) sleeve in flat form. It has "SAMPLE" written across it and the rating isn't printed yet. Cool. Finally, the German press kit, which I talked about a long time ago, is a booklet, which I said before. It also includes slides, though, as shown in this picture.

Anyway, "Three of a Kind" will involve a drug, and apparently has nothing to do with nanotechnology. We'll see. Finally, there is a page for the X-Files movie at the Fox U.K. site. That's it, the official U.K. X-Files movie site is gone.

LATE UPDATE: Read below first. I found out that the shirt described below is actually a variation of the Phone #2 shirt, with a white logo (I confirmed it is white). Instead of being made by Stanley Desantis, it's Signature Group. Interesting. I don't know if it's exclusive to some store.

Got some cool info today. I found this about "The Unnatural": "GA is in it, with a seldom seen version of Scully that should delight fans. There is also a fun surprise in the show." Hmm. The two baseball teams in the episode are the Roswell Grays and the Elysians.

Here's some merchandise info that's interesting. This is a new shirt whose front logo is completely white. All the other shirts have red "Fight the Future" and silver "X" text. I know the back has Mulder and Scully, but I'm not sure which image or if it is an entirely new one. I'll try to find out. Now, here is an industry ad for Light Matters' work on the film. Cool! And I have a picture of the cover for the Special Edition (retail) version of the U.K. video release, March 29. It's available in widescreen and pan & scan, making that 3 versions in all including the rental version, which I assume is only pan & scan. The Australian version will be basically the same thing when it comes out in August/September. Finally, Dean Haglund is appearing at HMV, 150 Oxford Street, London, England on Thursday, April 1 at 12:30 p.m. He will be signing copies of the X-Files movie.

I am now assuming another noble cause--getting Brazilian TV not to cancel The X-Files. Help out too by e-mailing programacao@rederecord.com.br and telling them what you think. Thanks, and I'm sure your fellow Brazilian fans will thank you too!

OK, "The Unnatural" it is. That is (up to now) the actual title of 6X20, not just a previous title. More on the episode...the least expected of all characters to show up will be in it, that's right, the Bounty Hunter (!!!!) will be in the episode. Maybe he morphs into a baseball or something. Anyway, the X-Files movie comes to HBO on May 1 at 8 p.m. And finally, I have a description from Christopher Wooff about the difference between the U.K. retail and rental video boxes:

"I found out that the U.K. rental box is different than the U.K. retail box. The retail box is similar to the rental one but is red and shaped in a circle (like the center of the X). It is also the Special Edition release with the extra scenes and all the writing on the box is in a reflective silver type."

(Yes, this update has been added to throughout the day too.) JUST IN! I just received this in my mailbox--the Wave 7 videos have apparently been canceled! The last I heard was a release date of April 27, but it seems Fox lost the rights to the videos??!! Anyone who has any information on this please let me know. BTW dealer preorders are due today for the DVD. Again.

So now the episode titles have been decided for the rest of the season, right? Wrong. "B.R.M." is now "Three of a Kind." Kinda cool, actually. And there is another previous title for "Shades of Gray": "The Unnatural." Also the season 6 schedule has changed around a bit, so the new dates are in the Season 6 Spoilers page. "Drive" will probably be rerun on April 4. Now, before I go on to major spoilers, I have pictures of the boxes for the Mulder and Scully Dark Horse statues, and a new magnet (which I'm not sure is official, but oh well). And incidentally, the reason that the series action figures were canceled is that apparently Chris Carter rejected all of the prototypes! Before I continue, I'd like to say that (1) I will change the fact and quote of the "week" when a new episode airs (i.e. next week), and (2) the last two updates were added to throughout the day, so check them out again.

Now, there are lots of eyewitness accounts from a recent outdoor "Shades of Gray" shoot. I received the information from many different sources, but anyway, here's the scoop: In a scene near the end of the episode, Mulder gives Scully a baseball lesson. Mulder pays some kid to pitch, and he stands over Scully as they both hold the bat. The ball keeps hitting him in the butt ("Let me get this straight Mulder, are you supposed to hit the ball with your ass?!"), legs, etc. until he raises his offer to the boy from $18.50 to $20. The swings apparently almost knock Scully off the ground and spin the two around a lot. In one outtake, Duchovny started humping Anderson. Sorry, but that's pretty funny! Sounds like a good episode. More tidbits on it: It will be structured like "Travelers" with flashbacks. Mulder won't be seen much in the episode. Dales believes that aliens were fans of baseball and were baseball (?). Mulder is skeptical: "ET steal home, ET steal home" is one of his quips. Anyway, in "Three of a Kind," the Lone Gunmen will be in the casino--the Monte Carlo, the first ever scenes in The X-Files shot on location--to infiltrate an international defense contractors' convention to uncover alien conspirators posing as contractors during a card game. Cool....

All right, so the episode is spelled "Shades of Gray." Big deal! 6X22 is called "Plans," according to AV on SpoilerVille, and "B.R.M." will have Modeski actually working for the government as a part of a deal for her freedom. Apparently there won't be any invasion stuff in the finale, and that's probably for the better. Also the finale might be a 4-parter (including 2 parts next season) after all, but I'm not sure about that. Don't forget to check yesterday's update because I was adding things to it throughout the day. Today's update too.
