The United States Civil War Center is provided by Louisiana State University.

Civil War Women is an on-line collection of Duke University.

The Texas State Library has a searchable library for those ancestors who might have applied for a Confederate Civil War Pension. If you find a match, you can order the Pension Application Form by e-mail.

The Electric Cemetery includes Civil War Union Soldiers Cemetery in Oklahoma City OK, Medal of Honor recipents buried in OK & KS, and more.

The National Park Service has taken on the project to put on the Web every person who fought in the Civil War. The first of these units is now available to search.

Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

Record of Connecticut Men in the War of Rebellion 1861-1865, (includes surnames Judson, Parmelee, Dudley, and Kemp).

Fred Chasson would welcome any info on Zinkies you may have found on civil war gravestones (zinc placques).

Looking for someone who is/was in the Service, try the Veterans Archive.

Another searchable file for those who served in Vietnam is the Vietnam Memorial Wall file.

Cyndi Howells' list for those looking for Military Resources.

The Center of Military History has info on all Medal of Honor recipients from the Civil War to the present, as well as info on Army Records, including the Continental Army.

Genealogy Homepages

My Family Roots contain the surnames Judson, Hine, Warner, Parmelee, Dudley, Porter, Ferguson and McLoon/MacLoon, Andrews, Kemp, Fish, Hildreth and Dolby, Barsh, Cutler, Cohen and Kessler.

If you've got a Kemp somewhere in your line, then I know the Kemp Family Association will be of interest to you.

For those of us with Hurlbuts (all spellings) in their line, John Hurlburt has over 7000 listings on his Hurlbut/Hurlburt Genealogy Page.

Cemeteries

The Tombstone Transcription Project - volunteers are transcribing tombstone inscriptions throughout the U.S. and are archiving these here as part of the U.S.GenWeb Project.

A number of people across the country are walking cemeteries. Check out the Cemetery Listing Association (CLA) ... we can always use more volunteers.

Speaking of walking cemeteries, Mills Cemetery located in Garland, TX, has been walked and recorded by myself and is now a published work. For information on purchasing this book, email the author or visit the Mills Cemetery site for a listing of surnames included.

Taken from both cemetery records and tombstones, you will find info on a number of people who repose at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, CT.

The Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid is a searchable database for Ontario, Canada.

To find a cemetery or city in the U.S., the GNIS Online Database Query Form is a good place to start. Key to form: Feature Name (leave blank); State (type in state); County (type in county); Feature Type (type in cemetery); will return a list of cemeteries in that county.

Marilyn Hoye has a listing for Shiloh Cemetery, Delta Co, Texas.

Tara Reynolds is putting Camden County, Georgia (and some Charlton County), cemeteries on line.

The Political Graveyard is a database of Cemeteries in the U.S. showing where politicians now repose. If any of your ancestors were in politics, you might want to check this web site out.

If you are trying to locate the name and address or telephone number of a funeral home, Funeral Net may have it.

Steve Lacy has a large listing of newspapers who have on-line obituaries.

RMS Titanic - Includes lists and bios of her passengers and crew.

Addie Morrissey has collected a number of Births, Death and Marriage record links (including my own).

The Obituary Links Page contains hundreds of links to online obituary resources, both current and archived, arranged by state and county. Secondarily, there are links to cemetery inscriptions, mortality schedules, marriage, birth, and death notices and recently, a section devoted to online surname obituary archives was added.

And last, but certainly not least, facts about your Family Photos.

There are numerous Newsgroups (Lists) that are available for those with e-mail. Newsgroups are primarily developed so that members can exchange, discuss, or post a query relating to that particular newsgroup, be it surname or area related. Listed below are just a few of those available.
