"SAS Sighting" - Tue, Oct 31 2000
I was sitting, eating stir fry at a park in Philly and
who do I see lying on a blanket? Ayanna from Semester
at Sea! I wasn't sure at first, because she has
dreads now and she's REALLY thin. I quickly went over,
apologized for interrupting (she was reading The
Street Lawyer, by John Grisham) and asked if it was
really her. Ayanna was cool and answered all of my
questions (eventhough they seemed cheesy to
me) Surprisingly, she lives right in the neighborhood
as well! (too bad I'm moving soon) After our
conversation , I invited her to a writer's group, but,
she said she had to leave for her grandfather's
funeral the next day. I gave my condolences, thanked
her for her time, and went on my way. Did'nt realize
until later that night that I'd forgotten to ask for
her contact info! Maybe I'll see her around sometime!

P.S. She did get kicked off the challenge. She said
that it was a mis-understanding that should have been
handled differently (under the circumstances), that
they never gave them (her and christian) enough time
to work it out (she was sent home within 24 hours of
the incident), and that a kick-off always is good for
ratings. She also said that getting kicked off is
always a risk that has to be considered when doing a
show like that. She said "It's MTV, not the Discovery
Channel. Too bad for them. They missed out on one
helluva chick!

SOMEONE SAID SHE LIVES IN NEW ORLEANS AND LIVES THERE WITH HER BOYFRIEND. SHE IS SHORT AND HAS A SHORT BOB CUT
MAYBE REAL WORLD FANS WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT SHE LOOKS DIFFERENT IN PERSON.

"Dan from Road Rules all over my town" - Sat, Sept 23 2000
Almost bumped right into Dan from Road Rules (forgot which season) today as I was leaving the post office and he was rushing in. He had this really ugly sweater on, and his hair looked to be the same kicky style he had on the show. I almost smacked into him on purpose just to say I'd done it but I didn't feel up to it at the time. I've also seen him tooling around
campus in a car with some gal but that was like a year ago. Nothing too exciting, but stalkers might find this intriguing.
