"Real World Reunion Updated" - Fri, Mar 31 2000
I attended the Real World Reunion this week on wed March 22, 2000. Cast member were Miami, Boston, Seattle, & Hawaii. I drove down to Las Vegas just to see Colin (but he didn't show up!)
The show was taped in The hard rock Hotel & Casino and hosted by David Holmes of "Say what Karaoke" (he looks better in person).
Well in any case, of course everyone showed up except Montana (Boston), Irene (Seattle), Teck (hawaii) He was via satelite. and Colin (hawaii). But the show was still good!
During the taping, people were calling the cast members to take pictures with them. They were all
very nice and accepted all requests. Except for Elka. The girls sitting next to me called out her name
and asked her to come to them so they could take a picture with her but she just gestured a simple
no. We thought that was so rude!
After the taping was over MTV hosted a private party at "Babies" Night Club (in the same hotel Hard
Rock). This party was suppose to be for the cast members and I guess the Mtv crue.
Later that evening my boyfriend convinced the bouncers to let us in.(It was kinda late in the evening)
As we walked through the halls to get to the dance floor I saw Genesis and her new wife being
interviewed by MTV. Along comes Jason (Boston). He looked like he was looking for someone. He
quickly spotted Genesis and Wife being interviewed and walked right back into the club. It was strange
cause he had this annoyed look on his face. He seemed to be bothered at Genesis getting all of this
attention and loving it! She was very happy that night. You could just see it in her face.
When we got onto the dance floor/bar the first people I saw was Flora, Melissa, Nathan standing on
these stairs leading down to the bar. I quicky asked Mellissa If i could take a picture with them and
she said yes! Cynthia was walking up towards us and i asked her as well. As we were posing Mike
walks right bye and Mellissa and I start calling his name. He turned, came our way and joined the
group picture. It was cool, I felt comfortable with them. I never expected them to be so nice!
After the picture, we walked over to the dance floor (there wasn't alot of people dancing in fact there
wasn't that many people in the club to begin with) what do ya know! David was dancing away with
Kameelah. (by the way David really knows how to move!) The two were dancin' very close to one another. (grinding close if ya know what I mean!)
Poor Cynthia (Miami) I spotted her dancing by herself. And Syrus from Boston, he was dancing with a couple of white chicks.(no offense). Nathan was just standing around drinkin'.
It was cool just hanging around these people even though I didn't get to see all of the cast members in
action. Luckily I got great seats at the taping. Hell who cares the drinks were freeeeeeeee.
At about 12:30am the cast members left. While some headed out to a club at the Luxor Hotel others
went to some other Private party I myself headed out to this club "C2K " till 5am.
Sean: He is sooo hot! in person. He didn't dress the way he did on the show, he seemed to have had
a makeover. Also Rachel & their baby made a special appearance.
Genesis (Boston): doesn't look like she did before. Man, she looks GREAT!! I mean shocking great!!
she's got sexy long hair and she was dressed very hip. Oh! and she got married ... to a woman of course!!
Elka: she has lonng blonde hair /(she's living in Las vegas & still with Walter).
Flora: She looks good still looks the same. she got married as well.
Melissa: Joined the circus with Flora. I think she lost a few pounds & is tiny.
Cynthia: She was the crowd pleazer. Everyone wanted to take pics. with her.
Nathan: He looks the same as he did on the show. (No biggie)
Kameelah: All I have to say is Thick!
David: He's a cutie!!! He just needs to stop wearing the same TAN T-shirts he always seems to wear. He made an effort that day and wore a TAN sweater.
Amaya: Looks great in person! Much prettier and thinner than she looks on tv.
Janet: Janet, Janet, Janet ..... Oh my gosh! she's not so pretty in person. Very plain, plain, plain. One thing that i noticed was her Very flat face. I don't know, She didn't look flattering at all. Maybe she'll appear better on TV. Who knows!
I had a great time but most of all it was a great experiece.

"Dave Sighting" - Thur, Mar 23 2000
I saw Dave from Seattle in Boston. It was August and I was sitting down, waiting on my mother on Newbury St. He walked by w/ about 4 girls including the girl who came to visit during the show and who he stood up for. She was talking really loud and being really funny. He was laughing and was not at all pretentious.

My sister met David from the Real World in Seattle. She saw him in White Castle at 5:00 in the morning. He was pretty much drunk. They said he was really nice. They got tons of pictures. They also got his home phone number in Texas!!! He was a great person!
