Road Rules Sightings

Happened to spot or meet any familiar faces on the road recently? Such as the Season Nine cast? Or any Road Rulers/Real Worlders from previous seasons? E-mail me, and I'll post your info (and Pictures) below.

[RW/RR Encounters (03/22/00 - 09/15/00)]

"Kira & Dominic" - Thur, Mar 16 2000
I saw the infamous Kira (David's from Seattle) walking around the Universal Studios lot. She must work there or something. She has longer hair now but you can still recognize her. She walks around with attitude, doesn't really look pleasant at all.
I also work out at the same gym with Dominic of Real World Los Angeles. He still looks the same but his hair is kinda toned down and he doesn't have an accent anymore.

"Heather B on March 13, 2000" - Thur, Mar 16 2000
As I was driving down Rodeo Drive on Monday afternoon. I came to a stop light I felt someone staring at me to my left. When I turned it was this girl just staring!! She was driving this gray Volvo. She was staring right into my eyes. It was weird cause I knew those eyes!!! Then it dawned on me that it was Heather B from the Real World (the only reason I knew it was her cause I noticed the warts on her face).

And not only that I mean she was REALLY staring! I mean there was this moment where we were looking at each other eye to eye. It was the strangest thing! When she looked away I couldn't help thinking she was staring because she was like interested in me or something. It was that kinda look! You know that I think your cute look. In any case, I was kind of shocked I wanted to talk to her. Not because I was interested or anything (Believe me I luvvvvv _ick!) I just love the show soo much and I said to my self If I ever see these people I am going to say Hi At least. But by then the light turned green.

And well, next time I quess. It was soo funny cause I kept telling my cousins hey! that's Heather B!! That's Heather B!! but they had no idea who she was. They're from Mexico so they didn't know who I was talking about. Poor girls they thought I'd seen Madonna or someone like that.

"Real World Sighting" - Wed, Mar 15 2000

I was in a bar called Good Fellas in Richmond, VA on Dec 18, 1999 waiting in line for the restroom. All of the sudden I see this guy walk around the corner and I was wondering if there was another bathroom around the corner. Then the guy realizes that there isn't a restroom there, he smiles at me and asks, Is this the line for the restroom? I said yes, not realizing it was Nathan from the Real World. He is so Hot!!! He looks way better in person than on tv. I grabbed his friends arm and asked him if that was Nathan from the Real World and he said yes. He looked a little skinner in person. I heard people see him down there alot. I'm not sure if he still lives in Richmond. Very Cute!!!!!

"Amaya Sighting" - Tue, Mar 14 2000

Last Sunday (March 12) my friend and I were at a shoe store at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California when Amaya from Real World Hawaii walked in. My friend and I kept looking at her to see if it was really her and when we said her name and said hi to her, she looked at us with a lot of attitude and didnt even respond. She was really snotty and did not act nice to us at all.

"Road Rules 9 Sighting" - Wed, Feb 02 2000

They were doing some sky driving things and cow roping. My friend said that they were riding 4 wheelers and jumping off them and that they were acting really crazy. he said most of them where from California and Oregon. He said that two of them knew each other a long time ago and they both ended up on the show and didn't know it till the end and now they're dating. something like that. They're supposed to leave today to go to New Orleans. I think they also got in a fight when they were here with some frat boys that took the horns. I just wanted to see what they looked like.

"Numerous Sightings" - Sat, Jan 22 2000

About two years ago my friends and I were eating at Jerry's delli and Devon was our waiter. This was in Beverly Hills. All of my other sightings were People from the real world. They include Beth The actress at a extra's casting office (that one was intresting!), Glen in San Fransico walking, Corey and Norman together at a club. My friend was dating Aron. I also saw Puck at a gay club in Laguna beach with his girlfriend, he was in some sort of fight but I am not sure what it was about.

"Yes Sighting" - Fri, Jan 21 2000

Although your profile says that Yes is from California, he spent his high school years in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. I recently attended an M-80 show at a local bar/club, The Ocean Mist in Matunuck, RI. Yes was there shooting pool with his high school buddies. He also attended a talent show that was recently held at South Kingstown High School. Yes is a good guy. I went to high school with him for a couple of years. Everyone plays him up to be some big palyer/asshole. He's not. Give him a chance.

"Veronica Sighting" - Fri, Jan 21 2000

I would have posted this sooner but I just found you website. During Thanksgiving break My friends and I were at Sloppy Joe's in Irvine, Ca. at the Spectrum and we saw Veronica from Semester at sea. She was completly wasted and two of her friends had to hold her up as they were leaving the bar! She is so tiny.

"Irene Sighting" - Mon, Jan 17 2000

Last summer my friend and I were eating lunch at an outdoors cafe in GEORGETOWN when Irene from REAL WORLD: Seattle came out of the mall. I think that she attends Georgetown University I didn't go up and talk to her, cause I didn't want to bother her. But it was cool.

"Susie on Tv" - Wed, Dec 29 1999

I was watching tv one day and a Commerical for Pittsburgh Strip District and Susie was talking and I said that Susie from Road Rules "Down Under".. I was so amazed When I saw her in a commerical for her home town and my home town too..

"Buncha Sightings" - Sat, Nov 27 1999

well, my first 'sighting' was when jon b. and heather b. came to my college to talk about their experiences. it was pretty cool.. afterwards we were all talking to jon and asked him what he was planning on doing that nite. we told him to come back to hang out with us and he seemed like he was really going to.. but he didn't. not that i expected him to.

sept '99 i was at a bar in new jersey to watch my favorite local band and my friend says, 'hey, isn't that ruthie from the real world?' we were all staring and pointing. so then she was standing at the jukebox with some girl and we kept walking by. it was weird to hear her voice becasue it was so familar from watching tv. but none of us went up to her.. we figured it would be annoying for her. but also, laura liftshitz, the co-host of say what kareoke, is always at the shows i'm at.. and ruthie came up to her and gave laura her number or something. by the way, laura is almost as hyper in person as she is on the show, but she is very cool and nice.

then.. my good friend was actually on the finals for say what kareoke and i went to nyc to watch them tape. for the second round, they had to play a game and Ruthie, Justin, and Kaya came out to pick the songs they had to sing. it was a total suprise when they came out. i think kaya stopped plucking her eyebrows or something because she looked weird. but i guess maybe you saw that on tv. afterwards, a bunch of people were standing around ruthie, and there were even some people she knew from rutgers in the audience. i heard her say something to the effect of 'i tried out for the part of the alchoholic and i got it'. again, i didn't say anything to her cuz i'm too shy. by the way, she is sooooo short in person.

"He's Baaack!" - Thur, Oct 14 1999

Hi I saw "Puck" from Real World San Francisco down in L.A. outside a bowling alley. And whatta ya know, he was riding his bike! But it was from the Kobe Bryant Foundation bowling tournament so a lot of people were there so a bunch of little girls were asking for his autograph while he was riding by...

"Keefla Sighting" - Tue, Oct 12 1999

This seems silly to post and all because it happened nearly a year ago, around Oct. 15th (I assume) 1998. I was shopping at a mall in Montgomery, AL and just happened to do a routine walk-thru of American Eagle, when I hear someone say "Can I help you with anything". It was KEFLA! He was working there, and was really nice and all. I told him I enjoyed the show, but tried not to hound him about it because I'm sure he gets that all the time. From what I hear, he wasn't there much longer because then he went to the RW/RR challenge thing.

"I GO TO SCHOOL WITH SHELLY SPOTTEDHOURSE" - Fri, Sept 17 1999

I go to Oklahoma City University and since the first day of my Structure of Society class I've always thought this girl looked like Shelly....he called role and said "Spottedhorse"...I went on the net to see if i could find info on her (specifically her last name) and found it is her!!! She (like another posting here) looks so much shorter than on the show...hehe

"Sean Duffy" - Tue, Sept 07 1999

I was at the MINNESOTA State Fair yesterday (Labor Day) and was watching the IronJack Competition. Sean Duffy from RW Boston was in it he won first place. He did log rolling and climbing. I talked to him for a little bit after the competition! Very nice guy! Cute smile. I did not see Rachel at all but she may have been in the tent behind where the competition was going on.

"Dan from Minnesota Sighting" - Tue, Aug 24 1999

I was watching T.V. the other day and saw Dan from the RW. He is in a Mervyns California commercial. I just laughed, cause he is from the town I live in.

"Ayanna & Shawn Sighting" - Wed, Aug 18 1999

Last week I went to the Block in Orange, with my best friend Nikki. We saw Ayanna and Shawn walking around and a camera following them. We said Hi to them and got they're autographs and Shawn is so cute in person.

"Joe Sighting" - Tue, Aug 17 1999

Joe (RW Miami) was in the school musical at my high school last year. He had a small role consisting of about two whole lines. He supposedly got involved as a favor to Steve Wozniak; Woz's son goes to my school. Most of the people in the musical said he was a just a regular guy or as some would say, "Just your regular Joe."

"Shawn Sighting" - Wed, Aug 11 1999

I was walking on campus at UNC-Chapel Hill last week and saw Shawn. He smiled and said hello....he's really cute and seems to have a very warm disposition. He had a bookbag on his back so I assuming he's back in school.

"Various Sightings" - Mon, Aug 09 1999

I recently just saw Joe (RW Miami) at a Goo Goo Dolls Concert in Mountain View, California. He was sitting in my row, and was with two younger blonde girls, and was NOT with Nic! I was tempted to ask for an autograph, but I didn't feel bugging him or anything. If it had been someone I really liked on one of the seasons, then I would have been all over it!

I have also seen Michelle (RR Europe) working at a resturant in Hollywood called Ed Debevics, I have seen Mohammad (RW SF) at a New Radicals concert in January, in SF, and I have also seen Devin (RR Season 2?) at a tatoo palor in Southern Cali...I wish I could see someone like Oscar, Colin, or Nathan...then I would be excited!

"Sarah Sighting" - Thur, July 29 1999

I saw Sarah from RW: Miami at a Lilith Fair concert in Columbia, MD. She looks EXACTLY the same as she did on the show. She was working with a group of women passing out promotional stuff for something called chickclick.com; they were giving away a trip or something. I wanted to go up and talk to her (other than to ask her if she was who I thought she was, to which she said yes), but she was really busy at the time.

"Not Your Average Sunday Drive!" - Tue, July 27 1999

OK, so I was on my way to my post wedding family get together ( I eloped ) and my husband and I were driving down 1-96 in Michigan just before Grand Rapids and I see this car in front of us driving crazy. So I say,"Hey, that guy is driving crazy!" So we played a little bit of car tag with him because once we caught up to him we saw that the passanger had a video camera and was video taping people in their cars. My husband, whose mind works ten times quicker then mine goes, " Hey, thats Norm from the first Real World !! " And I looked again, and it sure as hell was. So we procedd to the party and tell everyone in site and my sister in law told me that he was actually from this area and she sees him every once in a while down town. Always snogging a differnt guy !!

"Mohhamed Sighting" - Sat, July 17 1999

I was with my friends at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC this week. Suddenly my friend realized Mohhamed from RW San Francisco was across the aisle from us. He was with 2 friends. One friend performed a poem and was amazing. After the show some girl came up to him and tried to pretend like he looked familiar cause he was her brothers friend. He just smiled liek he did not believe her but was real nice and asked her for her name

"Veronica Update" - Thur, 15 July 1999

She lives in Cedar Rapids Iowa now and waitresses at a pub call Irish Democrat. Her boyfriend plays for our local baseball team. She got paid 5.000.00 for doing Road Rules and is a very nice and beautiful person.

"Yes Sighting!" - Fri, 09 July 1999

hey, i just wanted to tell you that i saw Yes, from Semester at Sea Road Rules 2 days ago....it was at about 7 PM on Bancroft street in berkeley, california. Yes was with a blonde girl, and he had a red motorcycle helmet in his hand. i didnt get to stop and talk to him, but i heard him talking about a porshe that he thought looked really good. i thought he would be taller...but anyways, it was really cool to see him in the street.

"Real World Sighting" - Tue, 22 June 1999

On May 21, 1999 I saw Rebecca from Real World 7:Seattle at an amusement park in Virginia (called Busch Gradens). My friends and I were in a line for a ride, and across the bars that seperate the parts of the lines I saw Rebecca with some guy. I think it was her boyfriend. I was kinda loud about it when I saw her, but she didn't here me and I wanted to respect her space. She's really tall in person.

Josh, he goes to my school, the University of North Texas. I've seen him a few times -- he is much shorter than you'd guess from the show. Each time I saw him, he was walking fast with a scowel on his face.

"I Hate Vince!" - Sun, 20 June 1999

I saw Vince in Boca Raton , FL at the ALe House. He was such a jerk he made a huge deal when I looked at him and recognized him. I have heard stories about him pouring beer on a girls head in Gainesville because she was talking about who he was. Don't go one the show if you don't want people to notice you! Vince Sucks!

"Hey I Saw Devin!" - Mon, 14 June 1999

I saw Devin a while back at a local mall in Cleveland. His dreds looked huge, but he basicly looked the same. He was just walking around minding his business, and I actually bumped into him, not knowing who he was at the time. He's really cool!

I was touring Alabama State University with my fellow Delta Teen group and low and behold I saw him.First me and my friend looked at each other and said he looks familiar and then I said wait and screamed out " I KNOW YOU!!!" and he looked and started smiling and I ended up causing a gang of people to rush him but at least I got a picture with him and a hand shake or two and a hug!!! he was so nice and I asked him a few questions about the show and his love life on the show!! I was in shock for the whole day!!!

back in january when walking through Harvard Sq. in cambridge, MA, my friend and I saw Jon from road rules 5...it was really funny that we saw him because we had just been watching the marathon of his season earlier that day...he looked EXACTLY the same as he did on the show.

I recently went to lunch at a local restaurant here in Pittsburgh, I was shocked when my waitress came to take our order. It was Susie from Road Rules Australia. She was very nice, and a great waitress. I must admit it was weird having someone you watched on TV wait on you in a restaurant.

I saw her near the University of Washington, walking with a guy and chatting. She was wearing a cool vintage dress and look thinner than on TV. She looked great.

"Christina Clubbing" - Mon, 24 May 1999

At a bar in San Francisco. She was all dolled up - I did a couple double takes but it was definitely her. She seemed very friendly but what am I gonna do, go up and say "duh, hi, I liked you on the show." Anyhow just thought I'd share - by the way not to sling the dirt but she seemed to be flirting with a girl or two. I say, you go girl.

"Timmy & Susie Sighting" - Mon, 22 Mar 1999

This was a while ago when the movie water boy first came out. Me and my friends went to the movies. In line at the ticket window I first saw Susie at least I was pretty sure it was her. I asked my friend who was a big fan of road rules she was like yes it is then she said isn't that Timmy. Well they ended up in the same movie as us. They were making a big sceen. They sat right by the doors and everytime somone came in the theater Timmy would say "hi i'm timmy and this is susie". Or susie would be the one to say it. Even when the movie started. I thought people were going to throw popcorn at them by the time the movie was over. It was a very funny movie though.

I've seen Sarah walking around UNO lately, I still haven't had a lot of courage to ask her, but my friend is a cousin of her and she tells me a lot about her experience, I'm suppose to meet her soon.

"He Used My Deodorant!" - Wed, 17 Mar 1999

I was on a plane coming home from Colorado and who sits down next to me? Brian from RR Latin America! He's an excellent guy! (and extremely hot!) I had a blast talking to him! I also let him use my deodorant. I know that's strange, but he said he'd been in a rush and had forgotten to put any on. How could I let that beautiful boy walk around stinkin'? I just couldn't! That's a memory I don't think I'll ever forget! :)

"Road Rules 8 Sighting" - Tue, 16 Mar 1999

I'm friends with a member of the cast of RR8. He's an awesome, awesome guy and I hope you will all love him when he's on the show. I actually got a chance to hang out with him a few days before he left for the trip. I can't wait to watch him on the show when it airs in June. Once again his name is Shawn and he's sooooo great.

Christina from Australia Road Rules goes to the University of San Francisco, where I am also a student. I often see her on a bench reading, or walking with some of her graduate school friends. So, we can ask her questions anytime....and she is always willing to share her experience.

"Erika Sighting" - Thu, 04 Mar 1999

As I was walking into a Wackovia Bank yesterday, I notice a girl that had the spitting image of Erika from season 4. She was accompanied by acouple dudes. One looked like her boyfriend she talked about when she was on the show, and the other one was tall with dark brown hair. They all were wearing phat Tommy Hi-Figure clothes that certainly made them stand out among the other common folk!

By the way.....I didn't get to talk to them. They were too preoccupied with cashing their check, and getting out of there!

"Alison Sighting" - Mon, 25 Jan 1999

I was coming back from philadelphia, when i saw alison from RR1 in the bus station. She was with some man, maybe her boyfriend. Anyway, just as i gathered enough courage to go ask her to sign my philly cheesesteak box, she walks out of the station. Dammit.

"Kalle Sighting" - 1/15/99

Hey I went out earlier to a mall in New York and I swear I saw Kalle from Road Rules 4 in the checking out counter in a lingerie store I swear to God she must have been working there!

"Not a tottal waste." - 05/14/97

While waiting in my car nearly 30min for my pizzia at Papa Jose's in Stone Mt, Georgia. I saw Carlos Jakson (Season 1) come walking out of the Goodwill. I couldn't believe it was him. I started to ask him if he was the real deal. But he looked kind of pissed maybe because I was staring at him, I don't know. He finally got into a black 2 door BMW and took off on Memorial Drive heading towards Atlanta.
