THE SOJOT COLLECTION

HERE'S SOME BUILDINGS...

SCURK 'EM

SCURK'em 1: POST-MODERNISM

Bank of the Southwest BANK OF THE SOUTHWEST
Houston, Texas.

Designed by Murphy/Jahn Architects, this proposal was the winning entry for the Bank of the Southwest Competition held in 1982. This large competition was noteworthy for the many preeminent skyscraper designers involved.

Bank One Center BANK ONE CENTER
Indianapolis, Indiana.

Designed by Stubbins Associates and completed in 1990, this large bank tower is a landmark of the Indianapolis skyline. Visit the Stubbins Associates online portfolio for more examples of their work.

Capitol Tower Place CAPITOL TOWER PLACE
Columbus, Ohio.

This design by Stubbins Associates is the proposed centerpiece of Columbus's Capitol Tower development project. Visit the Stubbins Associates online portfolio for more examples of their work.

With its bizarre insect-like antennas, this building is my favorite in this collection.

Liberty Place LIBERTY PLACE
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Designed by Murphy/Jahn Architects in 1988, this building is actually part of a larger city-block redevelopment project involving several other towers.

Check out Justin Smith's SCURK image at Justin Smith's SCURK Page.

125 East 57th Street 125 EAST 57TH STREET
New York, New York.

This is a paper model of the design created by Kohn Pederson Fox Associates in 1988. The skin cladding of the actual building deviates from this earlier scheme. I found this verion to be more pleasing (it was also the only complete design picture I had available).

Park Avenue Tower PARK AVENUE TOWER
New York, New York.

Designed by Murphy/Jahn Architects in 1986. It sits within a tight crowd of other New York highrises.

Thomas F. Eagleton Courthouse THOMAS F. EAGLETON COURTHOUSE
St. Louis, Missouri.

Designed by Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum for an undeveloped area near St. Louis's City hall. A ceremonial courtroom is located beneath the elliptical dome.

Tim's nicely drawn SCURK image can be found at Tim's SimCity 2000 SCURK Page and at SCURK USA.
