The fourth beta feedback version (1.122) of the

Here's a summary of the IGN Palace Chat Confrences hosted by Ultra Game Players and Saturnworld. UGP had Vic Ireland of Working Designs.
And Saturn World had Sega Reps.
Confrence Summary of IGN Chat with SaturnWorld w/Sega Reps
NBA Action '98 will feature an all new game engine featuring motion capture technology. They have improved the level of graphic quality and it will now use polygonal players and Chick Hearn will be doing the commentating. Looks to be a huge improvement.
Saturn sports lineup from Sega will include: World Series Baseball 98, Manx TT, NBA Action, WW Soccer '98, NHL Hockey '98 and Touring Car Championship.
NetLink games should begin shipping in late June.
Sega currently has no plans to drop the price of the Saturn, they believe that the Saturn with the free games is still a better deal than both the PS and N64. And Sega claims to be selling the Saturn at the same rate as they did before the PS and N64 price drops, so they feel no need to follow suit.
Sega stated that they have two new Sonic games coming to the US this year; Sonic Jam, with a cool new 3D museum area, and an entirely new Sonic racing game. They can't say much about it at this time, but it will be playable at E3. No mention of a new 3D Sonic title.
Shining the Holy Ark should be released in July. It's their first true RPG following on the huge success of the shining series. It has great graphics, real-time fight sequences and 80 hours plus gameplay. Sega Chat Archive
Confrence Summary of IGN Chat with UGP and Vic Ireland of Working Designs
Working Designs is planning to release between 6 and 10 titles this year under its two labels. The titles include the currently announced games; Albert Odyssey, Magic Knight Rayearth, Lunar Silver Star Story and Sega Ages for the Saturn and Raystorm for the PlayStation. Sega Ages and Raystorm will be released under the SPAZ label. They have three more titles for the Saturn that they should announce sometime soon and might do 1-2 more for the PlayStation (depending on sales of Raystorm).
Magic Knight Rayearth has about 80 to 90% of the text in place and the recording process has started. In case you don't already know, the main reason for the long delay was that WD had to halt development on the project for almost 2 years to get to use the original Japanese names instead of lame ones TMS and Kodansha wanted. The US version of Rayearth WILL use the original Japanese names. And for fans of the voice actor for Ghaleon and the opening of Dragon Force (John Truitt), he will be doing some voice acting for Rayearth!
Grandia...both Working Designs and Sega of America are looking to bring it over to the US, but GameArts will not license it out until after Grandia is ready for release in Japan, which is currently set for October. Nothing is set yet, but Vic feels very confident in WD's chances to get the license.
Thunderforce V will be connected to a future SPAZ announcement. Not meaning that it will BE the announcement, just that it will be connected to it. We'll have to wait and see what this really means.
Lunar Silver Star Story will be based on the MPEG version that hasn't yet been released in Japan. The release date should be around September. WD has already remixed 4 of the songs and put them back where they were originally (in the Sega CD version). About 5 of the background themes in Silver Star Story will be changed back to the originals (the better ones).
Working Designs expects Sega Ages to sell like hotcakes. They have priced it low ($39) and will need to sell a lot of them to break even. So, if you don't really want Sega Ages, but support WD's beliefs (bringing over Japanese games that nobody else will, like RPGs), you might want to consider buying it anyway. I will buy it, but wish that they make one that has TURBO OutRun!
The second title coming from Working Designs' Spaz label is comming. Working Designs has picked up the rights to three of Sega's "Ages" games - Space Harrier, After Burner II and Out Run. All three of the games will be released on one disc in the US in mid-June under WD's Spaz brand label. For an MSRP of $39.95, Saturn gamers can own arcade perfect ports of three of Sega's biggest coin-op hits for the price that Japanese gamers were paying for one.
The games utilize Sega's Saturn peripherals to the fullest. Out Run can be used with the steering wheel, analog controller, and the standard Saturn pad; Space Harrier and After Burner can be used with the Sega Mission Stick, analog pad, or standard Saturn pad.
In SAD news, I have been giving this a lot of thought over the past few months about this game site. I may take it down...now before you get all mad or HAPPY or whatever Things may change for the better....i'm thinking about joining the ranks of others and still being able to get news. Just on a more Internet like Magazine page. Also I will not be able to attend E3 this year. I'm sorry for not going I know a lot of you may have been looking forward to the E3 as much as I have....but I can not make it. Even if I went to E3 it would be a week before I was able to start typing up my report. And MCI moved the scanner off of this floor. So Pics would be out of the question. And I'm sure the information I brought back would be covered (Much better) in other game sites such as Next-Generation, Game Fan and MANY countless others. As to this Site I don't know what to do with it. PLEASE make suguestions and comments. You may just be saving my sanity. Otherwise I feel like i'm talking to myself with this site or the information isn't good enough...
