Crono's face hardened. He spoke for the first time that day, staring all the while at Magus the Reptite. "Hmm...I think I know what happened. Lucca, set the Epoch for 1,000 A.D. Magus, you are have to come with us." "Hey, hey, HEY! I didn't get dragged out here to go on some other crazy advent-OW! HEY! LEGGO!" Ayla rolled her eyes and she dragged the shouting Magus over to the Epoch. She had had encounters with Reptites, and didn't like the fact that now one of her friends was one. "I have the Epoch set. 1,000 A.D. is on the way. Brace yourselves." Lucca gritted her teeth, wondering what Crono was thinking. Crono thought to himself. It's the only logical explanation. If we change in 1,000 A.D..... Lucca stared at Crono, in thought. What is he thinking? I just can't figure it out. Magus groaned and thought to himself. I hate this infernal contraption! RGGH! Ayla smiled and thought, ooh, boy! Adventure start! Adventure fun! Ayla like adventure. Robo couldn't think. He's a robot. I have to go to the bathroom, Marle thought. "Come, my friends. Rebuild this poor excuse for a village into a more "reptite" fasion. Work....WORK!" "Lucca! Crono! Wh-what happened to us?" Crono smiled. He now knew what happened. "MARLE, CRONO, YOU GUYS ARE REPTITES!" Robo examined Magus. Still a reptite. Crono spoke again. "Lucca, I can't believe you haven't found out what happened." "Crono, what? WHAT?" Lucca paused for a moment, and smiled. "I see...our time zones! We weren't born until this time zone, so we are not reptites until the year 1,000 A.D. and beyond! Magus is still a reptite because he has been a reptite desendent for 400 years!! Ayla...since she didn't change, the reason must have come from her time." Lucca gulped loudly. "The reptites must have tooken over without Ayla to protect them." Robo stepped forward. "Our mission is clear." He mechanically said, "We must go to 65 Million B.C. and help to stop the reptites from taking over." Marle frowned. "WHAT? We are adults now, guys, we can't be called to save the world again!" Magus stared at Marle. "Okay, if you want to stay like that, fine. It's that or fight." Frog nodded. "Magus, the wastrel be right for once in his life. T'was finely spoken, too. Our rendez-vous with the reptites be our last hope. Be ye with me?" Cheers rose up from the hovering Epoch. "Set the sites on 65 Million." Marle demanded. Crono reached forward, and press the button marked 65,000,000 B.C. Instantly, the Epoch moved through the space and time. But it had just been so long. 6 long years. None of the group was very sure that they would come out of this battle. Come out alive, that is.
