Much like Ophelia herself, Elliysa was a young girl apprenticed to a powerful man. However, her story began on the backwater world of D'Altarran, where the highest level of technology was the forging of iron, and the rulers were harsh magicians who worshipped the chaos god Tzeentch, under the guise of "The Great and Mighty One". Elliysa was trained in the use of the sword and other weapons before being apprenticed to one of these powerful Wizard-Lords at the age of 16 when it was discovered that she possessed what they called "the Magic Touch". She had only been his apprentice for three days when Ophelia came to her world with a small army of Space Wolves, intent on liberating the world from the rule of Chaos and returning it to the light of the Emperor. Though she had only been with her Wizard-Lord master for a few days, Elliysa had already recognized the dark powers at work within their magiks, and she seized upon the opportunity that the Space Wolves' arrival created, slitting her master's throat and fleeing his tower. She ran straight into a squad of five Blood Claws, who took one look at her attire and decided she was one of the Wizard-Lords they were here to destroy. Before they could kill her, however, Ophelia stepped in and stopped them. She read the young girl's eyes and knew she was not yet touched by the powers of Chaos, and so had her spared, and offered to take her away from her dark homeworld.
Elliysa hesitantly accepted Ophelia's offer, and travelled away from her home of D'Altarran. She was sent away to an Imperial re-training school for two years to learn more about the greater universe she was now a part of, but eventually returned to Ophelia, whom she now felt she owed a great debt. Ophelia, noting the girl's fighting prowess, strong spirit, and untapped Psychic potential, was more than happy to add her to her cadre. She is even now considering taking the girl on as an apprentice.
Due to her origins on D'Altarran, Elliysa prefers close quarters combat, and despite Ophelia's urgings has thus far refused to learn how to use conventional fire arms, resorting only to her collection of throwing knives for ranged combat. She has, however, accepted the gifts of a Force Sword and a Powered Shield, which Ophelia personally taught her to weild.
