Tournament: Congratulation to Digger and zero who came up as the champion and runner-up respectively. Work well done!!!

Pilot List: After much work, SWSC pilot list is now 'cgi-ised'. From now on, selected Staff Officers, such as EC members, Wing Commanders etc., will have access to the central database to add and modify pilot details. Also, members can view their latest details too!!! Thus, the most tedious part of swsc house-keeping work is now 'de-centralised'. I will be notifying those Staff Officers who's been given access.

Admiral [Manpower] Shadow will be the central person in designating and adding new members. All new registration will be directed to him. SCs please make your request of change in your pilot's status to him if you are not authorised to access the database. For SCs who are given authority, you may modify your pilot's data yourself.

The transfer of pilots between squadrons should only be done with the permission of Admiral[Manpower] or Grand Admiral. However, Wing Commanders have full control over the transfer of pilots between the squadrons under their control, which should be done after notifying higher authority.

I will not be actively involved in the registration from now on. However, the power to delete pilots, authorise or un-authorise access to the database and to deal with all matters in creating, deleting and combining squadrons will remain with the Grand Admiral. Admiral [Manpower] will have to make recommendation to the Grand Admiral if new squadrons or wings are to be created. The appointment of SCs will be based on the reommendation by EC members, though the ear-marking of pilots for these demanding jobs will remain the responsibility of Admiral [Manpower]. I hope that this change will streamline this tedious process.

De-activation and In-activation of pilots are the power of Admiral[Manpower] and Grand Admiral only. Request to do so by respective SCs should be made to either one.

WARNING: Unauthorised access and fidling of the database is prohibited. The authority given to respective Staff Officers is non-transferrable. All access to the database is logged and I can traced every alteration to the database to the person and the time at which the alteration is made. Staff Officers who are being given authority to access the database are trusted members of the league and are thus expected to exercise their utmost discretion.

I would like to bring to your attention that this is not possible without @iloveya Internet Presence Consultant. Please visit @iloveya - special way to say 'I Love You', or tell your friend about the place. Thank you.

Personailised SWSC URL: I am gald to announce that SWSC site can now be accessed by personliased URL - http://swsc.home.ml.org. Instead of typing the long and tedious url that we used to type :-)

Promotion: Tuskayla had shown his dedication and interest in the welfare and well being of SWSC. As such, he is hereby promoted to the position of Wing Commander. He will be placed in-charge of 2 other squadron for the mean time, namely 22nd and 101st squadron. These 2 squadron lack a SC in taking charge of the pilots, hence there is a lack of direction for the squadrons. It is hoped that Tus will find the appropriate pilots to take up the responsibility. It is also hoped that Wing Commander coneboy, Admiral [Manpower] Shadow and all SCs cooperate with Tus in organising his wing.

Promotion: coneboy is also hereby being promoted to the Executive Council as Admiral[Ops]. coneboy had received recommendation from various fellow pilots for his dedication and hard work. The description of the position can be found here. The Admiral will be organising league events, such as tournaments, monthly league meetings etc. He shall be the second-in-charge when the Grand Admiral is absent. All maters pertaining to Ops should be referred to him. Congratulation to coneboy!

Resignation: Jester had submitted his resignation as SC of Voodoo Squadron. Digger will be promoted instead to take the helm as SC. He is also being deleted from EC.

Reporting Battles
Attention all pilots! When you report battle result to your superior, please include the followings:
  1. Nicknames of all SWSC pilots involved in the game.
  2. Nickname of the person reporting and his/her password.
  3. Type (eg., training, melee), Date, winners/lossers and any comments about the battle.
  4. Calculated RPs that are to be assigned to each pilot.
The pilot who submit the report is known as Mission Observer. Field Officers are empowered to report if no Staff Officers are available. If the pilots belong to different squad, the mission observer has to submit the same result to individual Formation Commanders. The Commanders then have to update their own formation homepage. Executive Council will have to informed of any promotion or demotion.
In the near future, I will design a sample form for formation commanders to put on their homepage to standardise the format. However, if you had or going to design one, please let me know, so that I can divert my time to developing other areas.

Formation Homepage
Attention all Squad Commanders! In view of the release of the Ranking Chart and Promotion Guideline, please include the followings in your squad homepage.
For each of your pilot, maintain a record of at least the following,
  1. their particulars, including nickname, sector, XvT and SWSC ranking.
  2. Last battle date.
  3. PRVs and their breakdown of RPs according to Seniority, Skill, Level of Participation, Field Performance and Appointment Points.
  4. Include the details about the battles that the pilot was involved in (in the Field Performance Section) eg, position in a melee, winner/losser in a combat, and also the date of each combat that the pilot fought in.

If you include all the above details, your homepage will be a Grade B homepage!!!
I will put up a sample homepage in the near future but if you had or are going to design one, let me know and maybe I could link you in as a 'sample' page for others to consider.

Pilot Lounge
In an effort to make SWSC pilots feel at home, SWSC has renovated its 'Guestbook' into a Pilot Lounge. All SWSC pilots are welcomed to put up notices about their thoughts, grievances or challenges to fellow pilots. What you put down is updated automatically and you can get a response very fast if you want a battle soon. However, please refrain from rude and obscene languages.
Want to see SWSC's Pilot Lounge?
May the Force be with you.
