If you have any news you'd like to share, write me and I'll post it here.
August 1998 |
Let me apologize for not actually posting this news in the month of August. Due to technical difficulties (my computer froze every time I tried to update my page), I wasn't able to do any news updates in August. So here's what should have been posted: Sheet MusicVisit Schattenjäger.com for the sheet music of the opening theme for GK1. Grab your piano, pop in your CD, and you're all set. :-) Rumor -> TruthThose rumors about pushing back GK3's release are true. Current estimates put the release around March 1999. In Jane Jensen's latest Designer Diary at Gamespot, she discusses the reasons behind the new release date and talks about the recent voice-over recording session in L.A. Weekly IRC ChatsSaturday at 2200 GMT (1500 Sierra Time) has been chosen as the regular day and time for the weekly GK chats. After connecting to a Dalnet server, join the channel #napoleon_house. For more information, visit Calling Conclave at Sidney. The chats are logged and posted in the "Interviews" section of Schattenjäger.com. Daily ChatsHeath has scheduled daily chats in the chatroom at The Unofficial Gabriel Knight Homepage. The times are 1130 GMT and 2300 GMT. Fake ScreenshotsAt the August 15 chat, we discussed fun ideas for fake screenshots. Check out the 'screenshot' below that Heath made, then send him some of your own creations so he can display them at The Unofficial Gabriel Knight Homepage. ![]() Click the above image to download the screenshot. Nico Sels traveled to the mysterious village of Rennes-le-Château, the primary location for GK3, earlier this month. You can read his diary at Sidney to find out about his very interesting, and sometimes creepy(!), experiences. Another GK-inspired TripPaula visited Ludwig's Neuschwanstein Castle this summer. In a new section at Gabriel's Domain, she has posted several pictures from her trip and provided historical information about the castle. Paula also compares the real Neuschwanstein to the one we explored in GK2. Re-released!Sierra has decided to re-release Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within. You can purchase it on-line from Sierra for $14.95 - quite a bargain! |
