(Earthbound II: Pokey's Revenge: Episode 3)
Was written by Everdred on 2/13/00. • Episode 3: The Groovy Flower Power Hippies • As Ness walked to Twoson, he passed by the old Exit Mouse House. Inside, there was only the person living there before. • "What happened?" Ness asked. • "Ack! The exit mice ran up to Onett after hearing a loud BOOM!" the man replied. Ness then remembered all the mice at the prison, and the meteorite. • Ness continued on his journey to Twoson. When he got there, hippies were running around the streets. He asked a pedestrian what was going on, and he got the reply, "It's the new Austin Powers movie! Yeah, baby, yeah!" • Ness ran to Everdred's house in Burglin Park, only to find more trouble. • Sporting an Austin Powers outfit (which didn't fit him very well, by the way), Everdred was rearranging his house with big flowers, lava lamps, and a revolving bed. • With an Austin Powers-style voice, he said, "Hey, Ness, love! What brings you here?" • "Um, Everdred... are you on drugs?" • "Does it matter, baby? Anyway, I have a swingin' friend coming over, so hurry up. 'Kay, love?" • Ness turned around as the door opened. A woman came in, wearing platforms, bell-bottoms, and a shirt with a flower on it. • "So how's my favorite spy of all of Eagleland?" she asked. • "Oh, behave..." Everdred said, then he laughed, showing his crooked teeth. • Ness ran for his life. Could this be a plan made by Pokey, to bring people back to the 60s and warp their minds? Maybe it's the government doing this, so they can get away with more stuff? Or is it just a really good movie? Ness had never heard of it, though... He needed answers. • "Paula?" • Ness knocked on the door again. "Paula..." • Paula opened the door. "Ness? What's going on? First, I can't reach you via phone, then the new Austin Powers movie comes out, and everyone goes crazy? What's next?" • "Well, at least we never saw the movie..." • "Yeah, at least there's that..." • "What're we gonna do?" • "Hmmm..." Paula thought for a moment. "What can we do?" • "We gotta snap Everdred out of it! He's been affected the most by far..." • "You're right! Then maybe he can help..." • "But how?" • "I know! Let's show him stuff from the 90s to bring him back..." • "Good idea!" • The two ran around town, finding stuff from the 90s. They got a game called 'EarthBound', some music CDs, a pair of baggy shorts, a Game Boy Color, and a Simpsons poster. • Later... • "Everdred?" • "Who is it?" • "It's me, Paula. I've got some cool stuff to give you!" • "Smashing, baby!" • Everdred opened the door. His house looked even more like it was from the 60s than before... • "Well, what'd you have, love?" • Paula laughed, then said, "Don't call me that. Okay, see this?" she said as she held up the Simpsons poster. "These are the Simpsons. They're very funny..." • Everdred stared at poster for a while. After staring at Marge for a while, he said, "Oh, behave..." and laughed. • Ness and Paula tried showing him the other stuff, but it had no affect. • "Tell me, what's this all about, love?" • "That's it..." Ness said as he got out his bat. He SMASHed Everdred's face in. • "Ness! What do you think you're doing?" • "Um..." Ness said, then was interrrupted. • "What in the heck happened to my house?!" • Everdred got up, then looked at himself. "Good God! Did I stumble into a time machine?" • "Everdred! You're back to normal!" Ness said. "We need you're help..." • "Okay, but could you go outside for a bit? I need to fix what they did to my house..." • "Okay, can you help us?" Ness asked. • Everdred, who had gained his memory back, replied, "Well, the weapon seems to be able to warp the minds of any person. The movie was a trap..." • "So what, is this all Pokey's plan?" Paula asked. • "What? Heck, no. Some strange gang did this. They call themselves the 'Groovy Flower Power Hippies'." • "Nice name..." Ness said. "So, where are they now?" • "Hmmm... they usually hang out at Happy Happy Village..." • Ness and Paula got up.
