EFNet is short for Eris Free Network. This Inter Relay Chat net was
formed in August of 1990. It was a split between the main IRC due to
conflicting philosophies on the way IRC should be organized and controled.
Now EFNet is the largest and most popular IRC with about 120 servers and
1500 users... If your IRCing most likly you will be in EFNet.
I have talk to some of the IRCops there. They explained that there
are more and more PpL logging on everyday and they are more netsplits.. I
use to login in EFNet when I first started IRC, but I find that the place
is very crowded.. I have experienced too many netspilts, lagg, and
Flooding from the servers that I don't go there that often anymore.
I hang around Undernet and I have more
IRC friends there. The channels I frequently are on are #Filipino,
#Anime, #Casper, and #Taiwan. Sometimes I use the nick RaNma1_2. When I
visit #Anime.
