Many people think that this film is the apex of Jackies film career with amazing stunts and fighting sequences. Jackie manages to mix a compelling story line with some of the best Hong Kong action and stunts ever committed. Jackie arrests a gang boss (Mr Koo) who is wearing a briefcase full of money. Inspite of that he is released on bail. Then the police decides to take Mr Koo´s girlfriend and put her under a witness protection scheme to make Koo belive that she will give important evidence against him. Jackie is the guy who is supposed to protect her and to make her give away serious information. He asks a police colleague to play a assassin to make Koo´s girlfriend belive that Koo wants to kill her. But meanwhile, Mr Koo decides to kill her for real so that she can´t testify against him in court. Koo also decides to make Jackie look like a killer by shooting a police with Jackie´s weapon.

Did you know that the scene where two guys fall out from the second deck on a bus right down on the asphalt was a terrible miss. The guys where supposed to fall on some wellpadded cars in front, but the bus stopped to early!
