" Clinton & his Women - should they be an issue in his ability to lead a world superpower? "

" Hi I am a Singaporean living and working in New Jersey. I went to college here so you guessed right I have been indoctrinated into the political system, thanks to CNN.

Clinton's sex scandals might be private but the reason he was investigated, was for lying under oath ( e.g. perjury ). Let's not forget that.

Please none of that stuff about he delivered economic growth. Congress is the motivation for that and it happens to be pro republican. At least that's the way the american political system works. Of course not to forget the collapse of the eastern bloc ( communism ) and what was than touted has Asia's economic resurgence.

The only way Clinton improved the economy was by boosting cigar sales ( after the scandal of course) I leave you my dear Singaporeans with a quote from America. Work Harder...Millions of people on welfare are depending on you....( A joke about where Tax dollars are going) "

" If u were to question any one of the Americans as to how many of them have never been involved in an extra marital..u might jus be surprised at the response....having flings even after being married is almost a daily routine over there, with regards to their liberal thinking....one person from almost any walk of life there is surely guilty of such an action...what more the president himself..?He is after all, human too.

Though his actions may be wrong...what rights do the general public have in pointing the fingers to him and publicizing his actions..? Do they beg to differ? It is only because he is the president, the one who leads the nation...and thus, he is caught in the act and criticized. If he had been jus another one in the general population..his action would have been somewhat considered almost insignificant. In his term as a president however, he has brought about growth in his country...is that not what matters more..?Leave his personal life out of the pi! !

cture....He is a leader...he has led...though with one or two flaws...forgive him for the very fact that he is only human.....consider his contributions on a national scale.....anyone could have flings...but not every american is capable of doing what he has done. "

" What I feel is that he is abusing his position of power as to have many "flings", eg Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky. But as long as the US is experiencing so much growth under him, his personal life should not be of any concern. This hooha is partly his fault as he could not aim properly ! "

" I personally feel that what he does in his private life is his own business - why should the media and the rest of the world prove judge to him?

He's doing what many people are doing, I feel..just that he is a public figure, and his windows are open for us to peep and comment. Like Vicknesh says, he has done a lot for the country - bullying him in this fashion shows the rest of the world in the worse light, such that we can so easily forget the good he has done, and concentrate on this flaw of his - a bit like the black dot on a white card.

I feel that his personal life has little to do with his political reign. "

" My views on the happenings in the states is a small matter blown out of proportion by the media. Mr.Clinton has thus far led the U.S well and has implemented programmes to increase its economic growth.

So he made one mistake common to MAN and that is to have an affair with an intern. Maybe the pressures of being President had got to him or something and so he lied to cover his mistakes but isn't that human nature. Why make such a big deal out of it.

Like I have mentioned earlier... Anything the media can get their hands on they exploit and not to mention all the others who use this as a chance to make a quick buck (ie Paula Jones). Well all this only happens in the States... The land of free speech. "
