SEMI-FAST Trains (Junkyu,Kyuko)

These trains run from major cities to outlying suburban areas, with often a limited number of stops. They can usually be distinguished from the Suburban types by the lack of centre doors, or the presence of 1st class or double deck cars. Sets can run from 2 to 15 cars and seating is usually transverse.

'6300' Series set run by the Hankyu Railway in the Osaka area.

'4000' Series set run by the Seibu Railway in the Tokyo area.
