Okay, Maz's FIRST article! And I will be adding more to it!

1.Shes a vital part of the series
Look at ANY episode and you'll see how great it is when Ameria is around. Sure, episodes with just Gourry and Lina are just fine and dandy, but in episode 17 of the series(you know, when Gourry cross-dressed to get on the boat) would Lina really be so happy if it was just her ruining Gourry's diginity? Would the episode be so funny without Ameria? Would the episode even be created without Ameria? Personally, I think that if Ameria wasn't around, several episodes wouldn't have been nearly as amusing as they are. What would Slayers be like without a person totally dedicated to jusice, while not even knowing what justice is? The creators obviously wanted her to be in the series, why can't people understand that?

2.Shes the comic relief
This pretty much explains itself, but I'll put some examples anyway. In the first episode she was in, the first thing she did was fall flat on her face from a tree and then she practically killed a bandit and said it was a fitting end for any villan. Near the end of the first series she kept pointing her finger at people and they all told her that was impolite (which frustrated her to no end). In Slayers Next episode 48(?) they were fighting some little mazuko balls, and everyone was having a tough time with them. Suddenly, she channeled some magic into her fists which she beat up the mazuko with. The magic on her fists even flashed "justice". I could go on and on, but you can go watch the videos for yourself.

3.She makes Zelgadiss laugh (and smile, and be happy, and...)
I'm not trying to get into any coupling here, but Ameria is the sole person that comforts Zelgadiss when Lina is about to drive him over the edge. People seem to harp on and on about that ONE time when Zelgadiss laughed AT Lina, but Ameria always makes Zelgadiss laugh or smile several times in each series. I'm not saying that Zel and Ameria are meant by heaven's angels to be together, I'm just mean that Ameria makes Zel happy.
