Time Loop

Part Five:"Crystals, Canes, and Roses"

*Author's Note: Well, here it is people, the shocking conclusion. I apologize

for the bad grammer and misspelling in some

places. (Aparently, according to my English teacher I'm dumb as snot and I

barely speak English. Actually I

just don't pay attention.) Anyway, thanks for sticking with me. I'd like to

thank a few of my friends

for their very helpful feedback and Hitoshi Doi for his website

(http://www.tcp.com/doi/smoon/smoon.html) Where I got most of the information

for this story.

Once again all compliments, rave-reviews, flames, and hate-mail can be sent to

PDBrusky@msn.com. This story is mine, mine, mine,

but the rest (character names, etc...) belong to very rich guys in Armani

suits so please don't sue me! And now, on

with the show...

Sailor Moon woke with something hard against her face. I guess that would

have to be the floor.

"So, the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon is awake." He was watching her. A

strange sort of invisible hand dragged her to her feet. "Submit to the power

of

the Black Moon..." A fist of iron in her mind, trapping her, cutting off

independant thought.

"Yes."

He sneered. Funny, thought the small portion of herself that was still

free.

I've never actually seen anybody sneer, except for on

bad soap operas. "That was almost to easy." He

took her hand and raised it to his lips.

"Hands off nege-scum, she's mine!" The familiar voice

dispelled the effects of the mind control spell, but she

still could not move. "I Challenge you."

Dimando pulled a sword seemingly out of thin air. No!

This isn't supposed to happen again! She watched the duel

repeat itself, unable to even warn Tuxedo Kamen. Dimando wounded Mamoru, but

as

he went for the killing blow, he was caught off guard by Tuxedo Kamen's

desperate

lunge.

With Dimando's death, the spell that held her immobilized was broken and

she ran forward to catch him as his knees buckled and he fell. "Usagi," he

gasped

He was already turning a ghastly shade of white. No, it wasn't supposed to

happen this way! He can't die, not again...

"No. I won't let you down again, Mamoru." She placed her hand over her

transformation brooch and reached for the power of the Silver Imperium

Crystal.

She took it and spun a web of energy around Tuxedo Kamen that surrounded him

with a harsh white light.

She opened her eyes to see that Mamoru's wound has closed completly. The

only sign that he had ever been wounded was his torn sleeve, and a long white

scar. He sat up slowly and flexed his arm in amazment. "But, how..." He was

interupted by Sailor Moon, who was too tired to hold herself up anymore,

collapsing into his arms. "Usagi!"

"I'm OK, love." She smiled up at him weakly. "Really. I'm just really,"

she broke off what she was saying for a huge yawn. "So... tired..." She was

asleep, and from the look of it, she wasn't going to be waking up any time

soon.

"Wish I had that luxery." He brushed an errant strand of hair out of

her face before using his cane, which was once again functioning as just a

cane, to help himself to his feet. "Just don't sleep too long."

Tuxedo Kamen smiled weakly in relief as he passed through the Gate to

Crystal Tokyo. In his arms, Sailor Moon stirred slightly when they passed

through the shield, but remained asleep. She's beautiful even when she

looks like death warmed over. Wonder how she manages that... He thought

regretfully of his cane, left behind in the Black Moon stronghold after the

duel. Ah well, it was either her or it. I'll just have to go back for it

when all this is over with.

"Tuxedo Kamen!" He looked up to see Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter

pelting down the path toward them.

"What happened to Sailor Moon?"

"It's a very long story that will have to wait until later. Usagi is

quite fine."

"Well, you both look like hell," Sailor Jupiter said with

characteristic bluntness. She frowned at him. "Here, I'll carry her. How

you managed to get this far, the gods only know..."

Then it was Mercury's turn to frown at him as she noticed that he was

limping. "Here, Mamoru. Lean on me, you shouldn't have your weight on

that."

"Um... Thanks again." Mother hens, the both of 'em...

"Uf!" Sailor Jupiter grunted with effort as she hoisted Usagi over her

shoulder. "Do you lift weights? She is so heavy! Mind if we dump her in

your room? There is no way that I can get her all the way to hers."

"And don't you even think about carrying her there," Ami chided him as

he opened his mouth. "There's no way we could get you all the way back to

your room if you collapse on us too."

She's probably right. "No problems here." They entered the room

and Makoto dumped her friend on the bed.

"Nighty night you two," she said as she closed the door.

Sailor Mars woke with a start and was relieved to see when she looked

at the moniters that nothing had happened. I really need more sleep. Wish

I had the luxery... She stretched and began to watch the moniters again.

Something caught her eye and she saw the shield disappear, then reappear. It

blinked several times before stabilizing. Oh crap! She turned on her

wrist communicator - the Senshi had taken to wearing them twenty-four hours

a day after Usagi had disappeared. "Guys, we got major problems here. The

shield is failing, we gotta get to the Work Room now!" I hope we can get

there in time!

She skidded to a halt when she entered the work room, she had been the

first to arrive. The future Senshi were still standing in their circle, but

the auras surrounding them were very faint, almost non-existant. How many

days has the shield been up now? Four, five? Then, the Senshi opened

their eyes and she could see the strain and fatigue.

"Help us..."

"We can't keep it going..."

"Take over what we started..."

"It's up to you now..."

Mars saw out of the corner of her eye the others arrive and pause in the

doorway. About time! Then the light around the future Senshi vanished

completely and they fainted, still holding hands.

Venus was already running over to them and she checked Jupiter's pulse.

"They're fine, but they're gonna be asleep for at least a couple days after

the way they drained themselves."

"Like Usagi," Jupiter said, with a snap of her fingers.

"What?"

"Long story...."

"Yes, and there is no time for long stories," Endymion said from the

doorway. There was something different about him...

"But you're here!"

He smiled. "That too is a long story. Suffice it to say that I have made

a full recovery. But we have to get the shield back up before the Black Moon

family can take advantage of this." They formed the circle, with Endymion as

a fifth member.

"Venus Star... Power!"

"Mercury Star... Power!"

"Mars Star... Power!"

"Jupiter Star... Power!"

Then, Endymion's voice joining in. "Earth Star... Power!"

Their auras began to glow, in a manner that Sailor Mars thought was

becoming all too familiar, yellow, blue, red, green, and white for Endymion.

"Scout Power!"

Unnoticed, Luna and Artemis had been watching the proceeding form the

hallway.

"Well, this certainly is an

interesting turn of events."

"What worries me is that this

is only a temporary fix at best."

"I think our girls can handle

it."

"I hope so. We're running out

of time.

There was a third watcher outside of Time who

also took a great deal of interest in the goings-on at

the Crystal Palace. Absent-mindedly she clutched her

Time Key a little bit harder. "Soon," Sailor Pluto mumbled to herself. "Very

soon. It's almost time..." All she could do was wait.

A noise jolted Sailor Moon out of her slumber. Sleepily, she opened her

eyes and looked around to see what had caused it. Tuxedo Kamen slept

peacefully next to her. Mmmmmmm, sweet dreams Mamoru. She rolled over

and went back to sleep.

The next time, she woke to the sounds of someone who was trying very

hard to be quiet but isn't quite succeeding. She became instantly awake. Oh

crap. Someone is in my room! "Who's there?"

Sorry, Usagi," Mamoru came in from the next room. "That's where I left

it," he mumbled to himself as he stooped down to pick up a shoe. "I didn't

mean to wake you up. I was just about to leave and get breakfast for us."

"Oh." She looked around the room, something was off... Hey wait a sec...

"This isn't my room, how'd I get here?"

"Yeah, you were conked out for two days. I got you back to the Palace but

there was no way I would have made it to your room."

"You should get Luna to make you a communicator. How's your arm?" She

moved over to sit by Mamoru on the edge of the bed.

He rubbed his left shoulder and frowned. "Still pretty sore but otherwise

fine."

Usagi hugged him fiercly. "Oh, Mamo-chan. I couldn't have let it happen

again. You would have died and I would lose you for good..."

He could feel her shaking and he tilted her head up and looked into her

eyes. "Usako, thank you." He leaned down to kiss her... But behind him another

warp-hole appeared behind him and Usagi frowned. "It never fails..." He pulled

out a rose and transformed so he would be ready to confront whatever came

through.

Sailor Pluto stepped through and smiled at Sailor Moon. "Let me guess,"

she said to the Guardian of Time. Her eyes were suddenly so sad, as if she

were

almost about to cry. "Something has happened to Small Lady." She nodded and

stepped away from the Portal. "We have to go back to save Chibi Usa." They

joined hands and as they crossed the threshhold, Sailor Pluto broke her self-

imposed silence.

"Good luck. You'll need it." Pluto returned to her post outside Time. She

still had duties to perform.

They were back home. Just as in the previous times, the monolithic black

crystals loomed overhead. Black Lady materiallized in

front of them. "So, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon and her

boyfriend Tuxedo Kamen have come to 'save me'. How

very amusing."

"Now! Moon Crystal Healing... Activation!" The

power flowed back and forth between the two and they

became the Moon Princess and Endymion of Earth. The

healing spell was stronger with Mamoru to augment her

power and Black Lady once again became Chibi Usa.

"Usagi! Thank you, I'm so sorry..." Chibi Usa ran to embrace Sailor Moon.

"Aw, how cute. Guess I'll have to finish this job

myself!" The so-called Wiseman materiallized in front

of them. She coudn't see his face because of the cloak

he wore, but Sailor Moon could have sworn he was

smiling, laughing silently at them. "But I first, I'll

have to take care of you nuisances."

"Look out!" they scattered and barely managed to

avoid get hit by a nege-bomb that exploded where they

had previously been standing. "Moon Scepter... Elimination!" Her blast of

Moon energy was coupled with half a dozen of Tuxedo Kamen's roses. But the

roses were incinerated by an invisible shield and her attack was just

absorbed. "It's not working!" What do we have to do to win?

The Wiseman's crystal ball began to glow as he lobbed another bomb at

them. "Sailor Moon! The crystal ball!"

"Right." She aimed another blast of power at the

globe in the Wiseman's hands. The ball began to glow

again, but this time it reflected her own attack back

at her. "Aiiii!"

Endymion and the Moon Princess moved to stand

protectivly in front of Chibi Usa. They joined hands

once more and a ball of energy began to form in Usagi's

hands. This is it, neither of us has enough strength

left for another attack. If this doesn't work we are

royally screwed... Sailor Moon let go and hurled the

ball at the Wiseman. he erected a shield hastily,

chanelling all his power into it. But his efforts were

in vain, the ball passed through his shields like they

weren't even there and impacted with the crystal. It

began to glow with a red light so bright that they were

forced to turn away, it was almost like a miniature sun.

Oh gods, please let this work! The light

disappeared as the crystal split in two.

Epilogue

"Mama!" Chibi Usa shrieked as she ran up the hill to greet her mother,

Neo-Queen Serenity. "I missed you soooo much!"

"I missed you too!" The Queen turned to greet

Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Moon who just now were joining

them. "I can't begin to thank you enough."

Sailor Moon smiled back. "Well, she's my daughter

too." How many more times am I going to keep

running into myself? Endymion and the future Senshi - or were they

the past Senshi? - joined them.

"Hey, odango atama," said an exausted looking Sailor Mars. "Ready to

go back home?"

"The future Senshi wanted to be here but they are

still too weak."

Sailor Pluto appeared along with a Portal back to

their own time. "It is time." Sailor Moon hesitated a

moment and looked around one last time. So this is

what I have to look forward to. She smiled and

walked through the Portal with her friends.

Hours later, Mamoru had just reached his apartment. And, glancing at the

clock, he realized that it had been only a couple hours here since they had

left. Hmm, the wonders of time travel. He headed for his bedroom and

fully intended to sleep for about a day. If I called in sick tomorrow it

wouldn't be that far from the truth either... What the? On his bed was a

sword disguised as a cane.

Well, thanx for sticking with me this long! Once again, many thanx go to

Hitoshi Doi for his

*wonderful* site. There definitly will be a sequel but I won't start writing

it untill I get all the kinks in the plot straitened

out (which might not be for a *long* time). I would appreciate any comments

on this story you might have.
