Time Loop

Prologue

*Author's Note: This is my first pathetic attempt at a Sailor Moon fanfic.

All, compliments, flames, hate-mail, etc. can be sent to PDBrusky@msn.com. I

took the liberty of changing a few small details like Queen Metalia not being

destroyed (hey, it's fan-fiction).You also may have noticed if you've had the

privilege of seeing later episodes that almost all of the pic...uh

illustrations came from later episodes. I just used them because I can't draw

very well on the computer and I don't have a scanner. The story is mine,

mine, mine, but everything else character names etc....) belong to rich people

in suits so please don't sue me.

The air crackled with nege-energy as the Black Moon legions materialized over

the crystalline city. Numerous explosions rocked the very foundation of the

island...

Somewhere on the island, a child ran through the deserted streets with four

shadowy warriors. Flickering light from the fires glinted off the child's pink

hair as they paused and the warriors whispered words of instruction and

encouragement.

Behind them, a negebomb exploded and as the child flew through the air, she

clutched at her locket and yelled the words of command that would keep her

safe. "Crystal Key, take me back!" At the same moment, one of the strange

airships winked out of sight to follow the child through the Currents of

Time...

Usagi took his hand and climbed out of the rented rowboat and onto

the dock. "Oh!" She cried out in surprise as the boat tipped, forcing him to

catch her.

"What a klutz!" Darien laughed. But as he helped her to her feet, he

couldn't help but think how beautiful she was right then, with the sunlight

shining on her long golden hair. "But your MY klutz..." My princess...

"Do you really mean that?" she asked softly.

"Of course I do, odongo atama."

"I love it when you call me that!" she whispered as he gathered her in

his arms and bent over to kiss her. One thought kept repeating itself in his

mind while he held her. I love her so much...

The child tumbled out of control through the Currents of Time. All she could

do was hope that the Time Key worked, that she had given it the right

instructions. Just to be sure, she whispered to the Key, "Crystal Key, take

me back to a time when the Silver Crystal still exists and when my mother...

is still alive. Please." And a little tear trickled down her face. Oh Mama,

I miss you so much. Why do I have to do this anyway?

It could have been hours, perhaps centuries before the portal opened and

she fell through. In the Streams of Time, who could tell? So with a flash of

light, she entered the world of the living and fell onto a man standing in the

park.

Meanwhile, Queen Metalia bided Her time, making plans. With Her were Her

chosen warriors. They would succeed where that weakling Beryl had failed.

And

this time She would be able to enter the world with no interference from

those Sailor Scouts. Fortunately, Beryl had managed to dispose of them as well

as herself.

Her warriors were unbalanced by the sudden jolt that meant they had

returned to the normal path of Time once more and they immediately dispersed

to find the child. That's right children, bring the rabbit to me. When she

dies I will reign supreme over this world...

"We couldn't find the rabbit, Rubius."

Fools! Well it couldn't be helped now. She had to prepare herself for the

crossover into the human plane of existence. He worked the small magic that

would make it possible for Queen Metalia to make Herself seen, even if all

they saw was a cloaked figure.

"Wiseman! We are honored."

"I cannot say the same. You must find the rabbit and the Silver Crystal.

As long as they exist, so will Crystal Tokyo." And as long as Crystal Tokyo

exists, so will the warriors who can keep me from entering this dimension. But

I can wait, gods know no boundaries...

In Crystal Tokyo, the Senshi of the future raced toward the safety of the

Crystal Palace. A familiar form lying on top of a heap of rubble made the

Senshi freeze in their tracks, however. Queen Serenity! She was barely

breathing and her face was deathly white.

"Come on, guys" Sailor Jupiter said as she picked up Queen Serenity and

slung her over her shoulder. She's so light... "The only way we can do Usagi

any good is if we

can get her back to the Crystal palace safely. And she took off ahead of the

others, praying to all the Gods of Light that they would survive until they

reached safety. Hold on Usagi!

At the center of the Palace, the Sailor Senshi paused for a breath of

air. Sailor

Jupiter could feel Usagi's pulse slowing. "You guys, we're losing her." I

didn't know I

could be this calm about something like this. You CAN'T die Usagi. We need

you, Mamoru needs you, Crystal Tokyo needs you. "We're going to have to

create a Stasis crystal until the Healers can get down here."

"Well let's do it then!" Sailor Mars snapped. They all joined hands at

the center of

the room. "Mars Star Power!" Too bad Sailor Moon isn't here to help. We

manage without her NOW, but it sure would be a lot easier WITH her.

"Mercury Star... Power!"

"Venus Star... Power"

"Jupiter Star... Power!"

"Scout Power!"

Columns of light formed around each Senshi, although Mars could barely

see through the haze red surrounding her. They all concentrated on the form

they wanted their powers to take on. Some of the light surrounding the Senshi

began to collect around the motionless body of their Queen. There was a flash

of blinding light as their powers merged and encased Neo-Queen Serenity in the

crystal. If an observer had gotten close enough, they might have seen patterns

of green, blue, red, and yellow shifting on the surface of the otherwise

transparent crystal. Now for the other half of the job...

With a brilliant flash, a wall of light appeared around the heart of

Crystal Tokyo, an

impregnable force field. Some of the ships in the front ranks of the enemy

legions were incinerated by the force field, but not enough to make any real

difference. The two forces were at a stalemate, for now...
