Who am I ?

     My name is Paolo Basile. I've born in Italy, on June 10th 1969, under the wonderful sign of Gemini. I live in apulia, in a town named Molfetta, on the Adriatic Sea.

    I'm a viola player...even if I'd like to be considered a "musician". It seems the same, but I assure you it isn't. I began to live beside Music since I was 11 years old, when I had my first violin lessons. A strange faith for a painter's family.

     A few years after, I choosed to move my interest to the viola for two reasons, a romantic one and an opportunist other: I loved the softness of the sound that instrument emitted...and my hands seemed not disposed to stop growing.

      Since then, I become a strange kind of classical musician...as my friends told me. My private records collection contains not too much about classical music (even if I'm a passionate lover of Rachmaninoff's piano concerts and Puccini's operas). Instead I grown up with The Beatles, Pat Metheny and Keith Jarrett.

     In the meanwhile I dreamed, every night, to write a novel book. My favorite writers are Tom Robbins, Flann O'Brien, Stefano Benni and Paul Auster.
