At the lineI haven't done much in the way of "Author's Notes" over the past two weeks and I hope you don't think that I am neglecting you. Schoolwork is really starting to pile up and on top of that I'm sick again. I was supposed to go on a retreat with IV this weekend but I think I'd better stay on campus and sleep. I was sick for the entirety of last semester and the very thought of going through all that again literally makes me shrudder. Things are up in the webdesign world. Mainly, I'm having a personal struggle between ethics (or is it simply friendship) and ambition. Last year, an aquiantence of mine, bordering on friend, started a Desktop Publishing and Web Development Company. We've gotten to be better friends in the meantime, but as suspected, the guy is mainly interested in the buisness (money?) side of the net. He even wants to hire me and my proto-buisness partner Sarah as "independant contractors" to do the design because he's really not capable of producing by himself the very thing he intends to sell. The crux is, with our skills, Sarah and I could really get the buisness without him, but he is a friend. We need him too though. He has jump on the market in this area and the money. However, he's not interested in partnership. What to do... Any suggestions? I'm stumped. I'm trying hard to get the sight back in order. Hopefully, I can get a "Tip o' the Week" up this weekend. Thanks as always for your patience, |
