MY ANGEL CALLED

You see too much darkness.
All is not bad.
You dwell on the past too much.
The future's still here.

You've forgotten you're small blessings.
Remember one today.
You've lost hope.
I give it back to you.

You've abandoned love.
It has not abandoned you.
You've lost faith in the world.
But it still embraces you.

You pull away from the father.
He holds you tighter.
I brush my wings against your face.
You deny I'm here.

My feathers tickle your nose.
You smile.
It lights a spark in your eyes.
A defiant teardrop falls.

You look up, I stand before you.
You embrace the spirit.
Our eyes lock.
I see my job is well done.

You give in.
You try once again.
You believe.

MY ANGEL

You helped me be my own person and like who I am
You were there to help me through when no one gave a damn.

I could count on you to be there, no matter what you had to do
I have been waiting for my angel, and now I know it's you.

The hope you gave, the love you showed, it all adds up to me
The praise you gave, the wisdom you shared, it helped to set me free.

Now I've found my angel and I'm asking that you stay
Now I'm going to tell you, you're needed every night and day.

You're with me everyday, whether we're near of far
You're my angel listening closely, as I wish upon a star.

As I let you know I love you, I hope you will not cry
As I go away for now, I'm going to say a last good-bye.

Thank you Mrs. Deer for everything
you have done for me. You truly are my angel.
I love you.

Treatment Plan: Maria Jeanne Desmarais; August 13, 1997

I wish I did not have to cry on your birthday
~ on the dawn of your golden age
~ that the boundless love you’ve given which now surrounds you would crush the malignancy within you and we could wake up from this nightmare of doctors tests and uncertainty.

The biopsy of my soul shows that my love for you has metasticized and there is no cure for the pain I feel for your pain.

Outside of your presence my strength goes into remission and I fear it may never make a recurrence.

But I shall grasp with you onto angels’ wings and face each day with the sweet assurance that no cells can eat the love that radiates between a mother and her son.

YOU

for Mum, September 1999

You who gave me unconditional love
You who smiles upon me from above
You who always was so proud
You: the sun beyond my cloud

You who taught me right from wrong
You who always was so strong
You whom everyone loved so much
You: the angel I long to touch

You who would’ve given me the moon
You who left my life too soon
You whose words were always so kind
You: the one deep in my mind

You who loved with all her heart
You who gave my life its start
You who lives within my soul
You: the part that makes me whole

How Much I Adore Thee

How much I adore thee.
Possessed am I with thy love.
For all thy love is in me.
Thy greatness cometh from heaven above.

How much I adore thee.
So full of joy is thy spirit.
Thou art independent and free,
and all my world thou shall merit.

How much i adore thee.
Without thy word I am speechless.
Thou art my sheltering tree.
Thy fruits full of beauty and sweetness.

How much I adore thee.
Thou art captured in my soul and mind,
and won't let go, can thou not see?
Can thou not see my smile? Art thou blind?

How much I adore thee.
For thy touch my heart aches in pain.
If thou only were real not just a fantasy.
Because my mind has gone insane.

Oh how much I adore thee.
Not only art thou beautiful and free,
and thou art my dream and fantasy,
but thou art a phenomenal man in me.
