Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? Am I really a goat?

I'll assume you're addressing those questions to me. (If you were wondering about yourself, I would recommend consulting first your birth certificate, then your browser cache, then your day planner and, if worst comes to worst, either your doctor or your veterinarian). Anyway, in my case the first answer is Mike Gray, styled Aberforth's Goat in Harry Potter Fandom.

Still here? Well, to cut a long story short, I'm 29, married with Susan and the father of two children, Natascha, 4, and Evan, 3. I have an MA in theology, and I work for an anabaptist denomination in Switzerland, presently as a pastor in a new church outside of Zürich

And ... err ...  I'm obsessed with stories. Particularly, stories that have Harry Potter in them.

Where do I come from? Weeell, Chicago for starters, with a bit of St. Louis, Los Angeles, New Hampshire, Budapest, London, Sicily, Rome, Amsterdam, Bern and Basel thrown in for good measure. I currently live in Zürich, Switzerland.

Where am I going? Well, hopefully to school again here in Switzerland, since I'd like to end up with a doctorate in theology. Some day.

Am I really a goat? In general, no. In fact, I don't usually even smell like one ... But I do have a ponytail and enjoy giving my son Evan piggyback rides, so I guess it all fits in.

Baaaaaa!

Aberforth's Goat (a.k.a. Mike Gray)

P.S. Speaking of stories: if we want to talk seriously about the first three questions above, the story of Christ (which has a lamb in it, btw) offers, in my humble experience, the richest answers. No, I don't have a URL to prove that, but if you'd like to exchange stories with me, drop me a line! (And if you're ever in Zürich on a Sunday morning, drop by my church! I can't guarantee you'll like the sermon - or even me, for that matter - but the coffee is absolutely top notch.)
