Access All Areas New Music Awards Host: London

I'm going darn ti Smoke! Neh lads ar reckon so. Thank you ever so much to Tony Manilla for asking me along to take part on behalf of his promotion company (www.manillapr.com ). I will be a voice to be heard at the AKA Theatre on Wednesday 17th October. I will be in the wings, rather than up in full view, but you will hear me OK. I am the voice when you all cheer as the card is opened. I am not 'the winner is', I am all about the band as they walk up to the podium. I will also be introducing bands as they play. And there will be a lot of bands playing, there will be The Levellers, Stillman, Original Cast, Parka, Exile Parade, Logan, Archive of Everything, The Lazarus Plot, Karim Fanous plus loads more. The Buzzcocks will also be there to say hi. I have done quite a bit of work for Tony , he gets me in when ever he can to work with such bands as Cynic Guru, The Golden Virgins and of course those really great guys The Cutters. I have introduced hundreds of bands by writing them a poem and you can find lots of them here. Poems for bands

This one is especially a thrill to be working this fantastic event. Just you watch for us fly the Access All Areas Awards to international heights in future years. Just watch. The Access All Areas Music Awards take place on 17th October at AKA London, West Central Street, WC1A. The winners will be chosen by a group of music industry professionals. (Text voting closes 17th September.) Hosted by Tony Wright (Terrorvision/Laika Dog) and Tabby Callagahan, with MC voice of Adrian Spendlow.

I Crafted This Poem for…

Working really hard
This artist crafts
Starting with wondering
Then finding a part of myself
That knows what it wants
Getting excited, about an idea
A new way of making
Going and studying
Gathering materials
Learning to work safe
Managing to keep clean
Starting to practice
Discovering tricks and skills
Getting used to my company
Being with myself and my working
Building
Shaping
Waiting
Returning
Finishing
Here
“I made this for you”
