DRUIDLANDS:CAMPAIGN

Prologue | Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Last Moves

NARRATION (06/25/00): (DM's Note: Well, it seems that we are up and running, at least some of us. We do not have the last narration that was up, they crashed and haven't come back up. I'm also looking for about 3 more players (preferably fighters), if anybody has anyone in mind. No one from the Twilight Zone need apply. (This is also for anyone not playing but wanting to. You email me above, DO NOT POST ANYTHING ON MY WEBSITE). Don, I'll give you to the end of the week for a response to see if you're still playing. I understand you have alot of stuff going on and may not be able to play right now. You can come back in any time if you need to stop for now. Real quick summary: Each of you chose an animal form, and this is the animal and what you got out of your training. Jaelin (panther)= +1 to STR, INT; Alistarra (dragon)= +1 to WIS, INT; Galen (tiger)= +1 to STR, CON; Zhan (snake)= +1 to STR, DEX. These are permanent, not magical. Send me the updates of your character sheet. Everyone also needed to add 5000 exp pts to your sheets. Also, while you're here at the island you'll be able to get any supplies you need, but remember you don't have much money.) Onward with the narration...

It is now about 8pm and everyone is in the little house. Meanwhile, back at the palace...
The room is elegant, but not flashy. Silk pillows are thrown about on the floor. There is a table in the center that is very low to the ground. Maps are layed about, and the walls are totally transparent, but show shapes behind them as people move about. In the room is an older human, oriental of feature, in his mid forties. There is a boy and girl in the room as well, playing some type of game on the table. The girl is of about 12 years, the boy of about 8, both with oriental features, wearing silken robes. Outside the room, someone is speaking sternly. The doors slide open and the man who was playing with the children looks up. The gentleman who was speaking outside comes in, very agitated, and begins explaining. "His Excellency's Guard has confirmed that we are under attack. We must get you and the children to safety!" The emporer jumps up and points to the two children. The girl gets up and runs to her bedroll, grabbing her nunchuke. The boy does the same, grabbing two sai's. The emporer watches their movement silently as they leave the room with the Head Guard. Two other guards join them in the hallway. They hurry down the hallway, turning left, then right as they see scattered fighting within the rooms. The children see that the enemy are all dressed in black, a striking contrast to the orange and white of the guards normally seen in the compound. They reach the outer courtyard, where more people are fighting. The gong suddenly sounds loudly in their ears, and the scene materializes into a nightmare.....

Back at the little house, the sound of the gong reaches your ears, sounding out of place in the stillness of the night. Lestat jumps up immediately, drawing both of his swords. He looks at Jaelin and then quickly disappears from sight. (All magically inclined know he just used the invisibility spell). The door handle is seen to move by itself. As this is happening, Ophelia has jumped up and snuffed out all the candles while your attention was elsewhere, throwing the house into total blackness (thank god for elven sight).

As soon as the door fully opens, a figure in black that was apparently on the edge of the roof waiting for just such a moment, flips over and through the doorway, apparently barely missing Lestat. The figure lands on his feet just inside the doorway, both swords drawn. The figure hesitates for a second, obviously surprised that a) he didn't kick anybody down when he came in the doorway, and b) there are 5 people waiting for him when he lands. You see just a flash of an image. You know who it is and what's getting ready to happen. Once again Lestat has pulled the hood of his cloak up, so that his face is hidden. One hand reaches from behind the figure to his jaw, the other to the back of his head. A quick pulling movement to the right, and the crack of the figure's neck echoes in the silent house as the figure slides to the ground. As you walk outside, you see fighting everywhere. The one that captures your attention is the sight of the emporer, the children, and the Royal Guard surrounding them. It is the first time you've spotted any children on the island. Bright flashes are seen in various places around the area, lighting up the orange and white of the guard's uniforms, and bringing the black uniforms of the attacking figures into silhouette. As your eyes adjust, you see that three of the four guards around the emporer and children have gone down. The emporer himself has four guys on him, and each child is fighting three figures each.
::::::::::::ACTIONS:::::::::::
(Ninja AC=4)

Jaelin:Jaelin looks quickly around, her sword drawn from the moment that Lestat went invisible. Her eye catches the Emporer and children defending themselves, and a few odd memories make her violet eyes glow in the darkness, her face hardening like stone. She breaks into a full run, sword out as her left hand shoots violet streaks of light, aiming for the closest ninja on each of the children [Magic Missiles-Rolled 4(+1)4(+1)=5 pts dmg to each ninja]. Reaching the children, she prepares to defend.

Allistarra:Allistarra is very quiet and contemplative after the training, spending much time alone in meditation.
Upon seeing the situation with the children, there is surprisingly little change in her face. She is calm and the winds of battle toss her blond curls in the air, and both of her hands rise into the air. With a far away look her fingers trace sigils in the air and a virtual jibberish falls from her pale thin lips. Two spells activate simultaeneously affecting both the emperor's party and our own. (Haste and Prayer)

Zhan: Watching the children play has drawn me into a sense of ease and complacency. I was not prepared when the Head Guard came into the room, even though I heard him talking out in the hall. I must keep my mind on our quest no matter what we do here. When the Head Guard comes into the room and tells us that we are under attack, I immediately draw my broadswords and get ready for battle.

When I hear the gong and see Lestat jump up, I also get up and follow Jaelin through the darkened room after Lestat becomes invisible and disperses of the black figure in the room. When we get outside and I see the Emperor and the children under attack, I, as Jaelin, run towards their attackers preparing to help defend them. As Jaelin approaches the children, I continue on, close to the Emperor to help him in his defense...

NARRATION (06/29/00): (DM'S NOTE: Make sure that you send me your hit rolls.)
As the battle continues, the children and their father are holding their own. When Jaelin and Zhan get to their aid, two of the fighters that were on the children break off and go after Jaelin. Two that were on their father break off and go after Zhan. During the fighting you see a couple of figures standing on top of the stairs where you enter the compound. Ophelia raises her hands and the winds begin to blow. Thunder can be heard and then the rains come. "There." she points, showing Ali, "That is wh at is doing this." She is pointing to the figures standing on the stairs.

Zhan:When the two fighters come after me as I approach the Emperor, I thrash the first one to me across the throat. The second one I just plunge my sword through his chest. Will send rolls...
I guess I missed on both accounts. Ready to fend off the blows of their swords.

Galen:I wake with a jump at the sound of gong, then everything went dark. I try to find out what's going on. After the dark figure enters and then is dropped at the hands of Lestat, I believe it's a fight at hand. As Zhan runs forward I follow behind, to give our foes a surprise. Then I feel a strange sensation, I seem to be moving faster, YEH. As Zhan attacks I leap (Jumping made and Tumbling made "remember Fox") over his head and tumble to land behind the ninja's and ATTACK. Two hits 15 backstab to on on right, 15 to left BS. Stand at the ready.

Jaelin:Jaelin slashes with her sword at the nearest ninja coming at her. The forward thrust is ineffectual, but the back swing catches him nicely (Rolled 8, 16=1 hit; Dmg:5+2+1=8 pts dmg). She prepares to defend.

Allistarra:Allistarra, seeing the clouds brewing overhead sets to casting once again. Raising her arms to the sky, she begins chanting, the winds swirling round her hands. Lightning crackles through the clouds in response. (casting 2 call lightnings)

NARRATION (07/09/00):
Galen, Jaelin and Zhan all manage to avoid injury, but their blows also don't injure the ninja's they're fighting. The children and emporer have dispatched one each, but bad news is coming. With all the fighting around the party, four more ninja's break away from their other fights to replace the four that went after Zhan, Jaelin and Galen. The children once again have three apiece, as well as the emporer's four.

Alistarra's lightening bolts shoot down upon the courtyard, killing some ninja's, their bodies flying with the impact. But it almost seems as if a magical force-field encompasses the party she's trying to protect, as not a single bolt comes down to kill either friend or foe fighting within that area.

Galen:
Seeing that my blows was not injuring them ninja's, I strike again. Remembering the dream of the tiger, I lung low as the attacker strikes high. Impalingmy blades into his lower body, using his attack motion to add to the deepth my blades sink into his flesh. Rapier: rolled 13 hit ac 3 dam 9 M-G: rolled 5 hit ac 11 miss

Jaelin:
"Thanks!" Jaelin yells to Alistarra as she sends her own magic missiles at the nearest ninja to her and the children [Rolled 4(+2)2(+2)=10 pts dmg]. Startled, she's surprised to see everyone in her party completely immobilized for some strange reason, for what seems like days. Everyone except Galen, who seems perfectly fine and capable of actually ATTEMPTING TO DO SOMETHING. She yells back at the rest of her companions, "Would you get the lead out?!?! MOVE!"

Allistarra:
With Jaelin's assistance, Allistarra frees herself from the self induced hold person spell. "Thanks!"

Reaching the bottoms of her memorized Mage spells, Allistarra sends out a spray of magic missiles slamming into two of the ninja's battling one of the children (3+3, 2+3 and 4+3, 3+3), as well as a forked lightning bolt blasting a safe distance away from the King and the children, but sending ninja's flying left and right. (6+2, 3+2, 1+2, 3+2, 1+2, 5+2)

Zhan:
I attempt to again plunge one of my broadswords into the closest Ninja to me. Then the other from my other hand into the next one attacking me. I look around to see how the others are faring in their battles...14+4 to hit the first, 14 points damage, 12+4 to hit the second, 13 points damage.

NARRATION (07/06/00):
Time itself seems to slow but yet it does not. As each of you begin to make your next move, you for the first time feel and see the power of the tiger. The sleek movement of the panther. The speed and cunning of the snake. The mystical power of the dragon.

Ali raises her hands once again. The form of a dragon engulfs her body. Flashes of white and blue come from her fingers. Lashing out at different enemies, the foes are slung back, some gone forever from the face of this world.

The panther seems to step beside Jaelin as she makes her strike. The same blue flashes from her fingers and her sword buries deep in the foe before her.

The stripes of the tiger are seen across the face of Galen as he drops to one knee, with the other leg sticking straight out behind him. The rapier goes deep. The foe drops his weapons, and with a smile Galen stands up, driving his sword even deeper as he raises.

Zhan, feels the speed and cunning of the snake and sees the shape of the snake making a path on the ground. He slides in between the two foes. With weapons in both hands Zhan spins and make a double "X" across each foe's back. He hisses as he strikes, "I m Zahn, who will fight me next!"

Ophelia raises both of her hands, grabbing her staff and holding it above her head. There is a great clasp of thunder as lightening streaks from sky and heaven above, hitting two of three targets standing on top of the stairs. They stagger backwards and there is a flash behind the one in the center. Once again, you see a familiar dark-cloaked figure. Two swords portrude suddenly from the chest of the figure he was behind. Lestat withdraws his swords quickly, spins to his side and slices across the smoking chests of the two figures on each side. He is gone again. The lightning bolts and sword strikes are too much for the two outer figures, and they fall to the ground on either side of the center figure.

The emporer and the children's fighting styles have become such a blur that they almost appear to be unmoving. The numchuk's of the little girl are spinning in a deathly spin, requiring her only to make circular motions with her wrist in each direction to her side to knock opponents off their feet. The sai's of the little boy can literally be heard as they cut the air, any ninja coming in his direction covered with blood within seconds of their reach.

The emporer seems to run UP the back of one of his foes, delivering a deadly kick to the head before he flips over back to his feet. The two ninjas are waiting for him when he lands. Before he can move, one gores him through from the back at the same ti e as one does the same from the front. He steps forward with both hands and sends the one facing him flying across the stones, but the one behind him is still there. And he is now seriously wounded.

At the sight of their father hit, the two children scream and run to his aid.
::::::ACTIONS::::::
(DM's Note: Jaelin has one ninja on her, Galen still has one, Emporer has two. The children, Zhan, Ali, and Ophelia are free, ninjas dispatched. Lestat...well, ya never know.)

Galen:
At the sight and smell of the blood from the ninja's body, I let out a low short growl. And drop back on one knee and a dead stare into the eyes of the ninja. With the rapier pointed to the rear by my side. With the quickness of the tiger I slash with the rapier (16 hit dam 2+3=5) and as it goes by i thrust the main-gauche deep in his chest(16 hit dam 2+2=4). And with the thrust I follow through to pounch like the tiger from my dream, but with one thing different. I keep my body low to lift him and prevent a throw.

Zhan:
After disposing of the trash that seemed to think they could best us, I turn and see the Emperor get run through. As soon as I see him take care of one of them and the other still stands, I, along with the children, run to help him. As I reach them, I thrust one of my broadswords through him from behind and slice upwards, cutting him almost completely in two pieces... rolled 18 to hit, 4+6+4+2=16 points damage.

Jaelin:
Seeing that Zhan has run to the aid of the children, Jaelin quickly tries to dispatch her remaining foe. Her blade flickers in the shallow light as she almost seems to crouch, then springs at the ninja in front of her, trying to sink her blade in a combi ation of fatal blows [Hit Rolls: 17(+3)=20, 15(+3)=18. DMG: 7(+2+2)=11, 7(+2+2)=11].

Allistarra:
Allistarra hurriedly mutters the incantations for her last mage spells, sending magic missiles hurtling towards hostile targets. (I'm not certain what ninja's are left, but there is one spell for each if there are two.)

At the completion of the spell, Allistarra looks visibly drained as she begins maneuvering towards the Emperor readying healing spells. "I'm out of combat spells, I will heal the emperor!"

NARRATION (07/25/00):
(DM's Note: Welcome back JJ (playing Puck), and welcome Eddie (playing Blythe) and Alex (playing Ursula). Oh yea, I better put this in here too, welcome Samantha (playing Seena) and Josh (playing Rowin).

The group scans the area to pick their next targets. With Alistarra's magic missiles and Ophelia's lightening bolts, it is more than the ninja's want to deal with. The figure that was left standing on the stairs comes down a couple more steps, and you c n see Lestat rising up behind him, ready with both long swords to plunge into his back. As Lestat begins the descent, the figure hits his staff against the steps once. The black swords of Lestat slice into thin air as the figure suddenly disappears at t e bang of his staff, and all the ninja's with him as well.

The emporer drops to one knee, then collapses on the ground. Ali arrives at his side at the same time the children do. As everyone else comes around, Ali looks up and shakes her head, conveying the knowledge to the others that his wounds are mortal. Wh n Ophelia comes over, the emporer looks at her. His language is common, but in a broken way, as one not fully familiar with the language. "You helped us. Something wrong in world. I give you my children. Show them all world not bad." He then turns an looks at his two children, who are now kneeling by his side. He speaks to them in his native tongue. They both bow their heads when he finishes. He looks once again at Ophelia, placing a hand on the girl's knee and says, "Seena." He then places his h nd on the little boy and says, "Rowin." He then looks back at his children. They grab his hand, and you see him smile, then close his eyes forever.

The clanking of metal echoes through the courtyard. It is the little weaponsmith. The little man is rather odd-looking with all the various pieces of armor that he has put together and is wearing. The small war-hammer in his hand though is absolutely e quisite, like none you have ever seen. A small group of others has now gathered with you around the deceased emporer, and they clear a path for the little man as he walks up.

His eyes go wide and he drops his hammer at the site of the emporer dead before him and he is distinctly heard to say, "Brother!". He drops to his knees beside the man, his hands glowing white, and says "Neetuck!", placing his hands against the emporer's chest. He does this again, and again, each time his voice sounding more desperate, until finally a few of the others around grab him by the shoulders and physically pull him away, his strength completely sapped as he tries to fight them and pull away. T ey help support him as he fights for his composure, and when he seems to have it under control, he turns to your group. For the first time, you actually see the resemblence between him and the dead emporer. Also, his familiar smile is gone. "It is not y people's way, for what I ask of you." You can see the veins rising under his skin from the effort he is making to hold his composure and keep back tears and anger. "Please forgive me. We gave you power. I WANT REVENGE. DEATH TO THOSE WHO DID THIS. ONOR RESTORED." He stops for a moment. "You put these children in a place for them to right this wrong. It is their duty. You go now."

An old man, using a crooked walking stick, comes up beside the new emporer. He hands Jaelin a scroll. His stick begins to glow white, and there is a flash.

The taste and smell of salt water hits you immediately. Though no one around noticed, you have suddenly appeared at a bunch of docks. Three ships are docked, one of them looking to have been there a while. One is taking on supplies, and one is still let ing people off. Galen can tell by the way that the crew is reacting that this particular ship has just gotten there. Lestat walks off for a minute and talks to a couple of the sailors. He comes back and says, "Well, I don't know how the old man did it, but we're on the Moonshae Isles. And I'm a little thirsty." Lestat looks over at Galen, keeping one eye closed. In his best pirate voice, "You know as well as I do, where's there's ships, there's bars. What say you maties? Care for a swig or two?" Les at starts to walk down the wharf. He stops for just a second, looking at the just docked ship very closely. His hands slide slightly to his swords. All of you then notice the same thing he noticed. The ship that just docked is manned by Black Feathers Galen walks up to him and quietly says, "It will do us no good here...we must pick and choose." Lestat looks at him and nods. He starts walking back down the wharf.

You all come to a local bar and step inside. The bar is actually quite a bit larger than what it looks like on the outside. Your wenches, straw floor, games of chance at different tables, are all there. At one table, you see something rather familiar. t is Puck, sitting with another halfling, a female human warrior, and a male human wearing a cloak.
:::::ACTIONS:::::

Puck
After the group approaches the table, Puck stands up from his chair (but does anybody really notice when a halfling stands up?) and a small smile crosses his relieved face, and he says quietly. "Welcome friends. I was a bit worried when you missed our rendevous four days ago. It is good to see you alive and well. Allow me to introduce one of my people, Blythe. The human warrior is Ursula. The man with the staff is the one we were to meet, Blackstaff, or Kelvin, as he would like to be called."

Ursula:
When Ursula sees Puck stand up, the 6'2" tall warrior woman stands as well and glowers at the approaching group. "Damn, A sorrier bunch of point-ears if I ever saw one. Of course, they're all sorry looking to me, so that would be redundant, don't you think? But I gave my word to you, Puck, so I'll still help you out. Besides," looking over the group with a half smile on her face, "you're going to need all the help you can get, especially with...children traveling...with you?!" (Anyone who takes offense to her comments and actually looks her way will get an "ooh, I'm so scared" look of sacasm thrown their way). She looks over at Puck. "You said nothing about their being children coming along. Great! Not only do I have look out for the half-men but now I've got children to take care of too! These moonwells better be damn well worth it!" she finishes her little speech with a slight wink to the halfling priest.>

Ursula:
(her comment about the moonwells is being said under her breath; everything else is said out-loud for the group to hear. Anyone who looks at her funny gets the "oooh I'm, so frightened" sarcastic look.) "So, who are your friends there, Puck? Introduce me to them. Or are they capable of speaking for themselves?" She waits expectantly for a response.

Zhan:
As our fighting ends and the Ninja's disappear before Lestat can cut his heart out, I move to where the Emperor lay. When Ali tells us that there is nothing we can do and the emperor gives his children to Ophelia, I can only wonder what they will do with us. I have no reservations of their right to journey with us or their ability to protect themselves. They are welcome. Then the flash occurs and we find ourselves in front of an enormous ship. I look around to see if I can figure out where we are when Lestat tells us that we are on the Moonshea Isles. At once, I look around to see if I can recognize anything here, for I am from the village of Lotune' on the Northern coast of the Moonshea's. But alas, I do not. I have been gone much too long to recognize anything. I will ask about Lotune' later. I also see the Black Feathers when Lestat does and my hand draws near my broadswords. As Galen and Lestat leave the docks and head towards a Tavern, I, also, can wait in expectation for the taking of the Black Feathers heads. I follow them down the road. As we go into the tavern, I see Puck sitting at a table with strangers. I, along with the rest of our party, go to their table. When Puck introduces Ursula and Kelvin, I extend my hand to Puck and Kelvin, but look at Ursula and keep my other hand close to my broadsword. When Ursula stands and starts talking, I am quite unimpressed with her words or actions. Ursula, my name is Zhan Kashirni and you can speak to us as well as you can Puck. We will not hurt you. You do not have to be afraid to address us, for HALF-ELVES can speak in common, quite as well as you can my dear...

Galen:
With the actions that are taking place in the yard, I remain quiet and alert. I will help the children in their quest............................................. With my eyes adjusting to the new surrounds, my nose tells me it near the sea. Upon looking around I can tell "I HOME" with a yell. I look at Lestat, "I know some people that can help you with that bugbear in your throat." As I slap him on his back. "I know this place where the ale flows long and the wome..." I stop just a bit to slow as the women in the party are staring.. I catch Lestat just before he heads to the ship, remember pick and choose like the tiger, strike when least expicited. Now about that drink.............................................
As we walk up to bar I remember this place. As I walk through the doors at the top of voice "HELLO BOYS I'M BACK" then I see Puck "PUCK MY LITTLE FRIEND, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO." Looking at the female tree "AT LEAST I KNOW WHAT MY TWO HALVES ARE, RIGHT BOYS" saying it loud enough to get the sailors attention. "Puck who your fellow little one, well met Blackstaff." "Wench drinks here, the tree's buying." As he plops in a chair next to Blackstaff.

Blythe:
Blythe will also stand up and hold out his hands in an open armed fashion (as if to hug), "Well met friends.Allow me to buy you all a round of drinks & a meal, you must be hungry after your travels. (Whispering to puck, "It is so nice for me to meet new people from a foreign land. I hope I can help you and your friends mission.") Blythe of course will pay for the drinks and meals, including his own.

NARRATION (07/26/00):
(DM's Note: Alright fellows, ya wanna play this way, we'll play this way. I am incorporating Jaelin's move into the narration, because I had to make a saving throw for Ursula. Damn fine job Don, damn fine job. Also had to roll init for three different people.)

As the party makes their way to the table, Lestat begins to say hello when he is interrupted by the tree and her lovely comments. Jaelin raises her hand and says with an evil grin and a raise of her pointy ears, "If your eyes like not what they see, let hem see no more." A violet flash flies from her fingertips straight to the eyes of Ursula (Blindness). As the violet color begins to engulf her eyes, there is a small blue flash, and the two colors disappear. Ursula stands back, drawing her short sword rying to see. Just as her vision begins to clear, the small boy leaps from the floor to the table, from the table to the wall, draws a large forked dagger and flicks Ursula's sword out of her hand. He lands on his feet straight in front of her. Before er sword hits the ground, the little girl sidesteps the boy, does a split on the floor, sliding between Ursula's legs, and comes standing up behind Ursula. The distinctive swish of hair being cut by a sword can be heard as the girl comes up, and is confi med as pieces of Ursula's ponytail are seen to hit the ground behind her in chunks, until it is the same length as the rest of her hair. The young girl then cocks her head to the side and stands there with her hands on her hips. Ursula naturally spins a ound and sees her once long ponytail laying on the floor, chopped up in itty-bitty pieces. When she makes a move to grab the girl, the girl easily sidesteps her, ending up beside a cloaked figure. Ursula spins back around as the cloaked figure takes off his hood, revealing a young full-blooded elf. Ursula then looks at the female that threw the spell, realizing that she is also a young full-blooded elf. "I am Lestat" says the cloaked one. "As you can tell, we have pointed ears." he says with a grin. Jaelin here spends her life killing people just like you. And she's quite good at it I might add. The two children you see here? Each one less than an hour ago killed three men that would make you look like an amateur. They also lost their father. An as you can tell, they are more than capable of taking care of themselves. As for me, I'll kill you in your sleep, and won't lose any of mine. Our fine feathered friend over here (pointing to the half-elf with the hat) is named Galen. He's probably see more discrimination (looking down at Ursula's armwrist) than you ever have." He points then to the other half-elf that is dressed similar to Lestat in all black, "Zhan would just as soon cut your head off as look at you. Ophelia and Alistarra (as he tu ns, finally letting two more female full elves through) are the goody-two-shoes of the clan." He chuckles to himself, as Ophelia comes through, her staff held so that the many runes are showing all over it, and Alistarra looking wide-eyed and frail, can nly shake their heads. "So, tree, before you insult someone, make sure you know who you're dealing with. Be glad we've kept our sense of humor." Lestat reaches over, smacks Puck on the shoulder. "It's mighty fun to see you too Puck, you missed a good fi ht at the island. Well met Blythe. It's nice to see the small folk out and about. Come, drink with us. You tell us of your village, and we'll tell you of Myth Drannor." Lestat raises a hand, "Wenches, drinks and another table!"

The barmaids move another table up to the one Puck, Blythe and Ursula were sitting at, brings drinks all around. Blackstaff and Ophelia sit down next to each other. Lestat offers Jaelin a chair (though he's not sure if she'll take it with the mood she's in at the moment).
::::ACTIONS::::

Ursula:
Her hand still upon her sword, Ursula stares down at the pony-tail lying cut up on the floor. Trembling with rage, it is a long moment before she can speak: "Where I am from, thin-skinned people such as yourselves would have died long before their first b ut in the Arena of Blood." Looking over at Puck, her still shaking hand falls away from her weapon as she continues. "Know that you travel with the sorriest bunch of losers to ever grace these lands and if it is for people such as these that we fight, the they will not have the blade of Ursula Edrigar to defend them. To think that I actually thought that elves could have honor. I was wrong before and all your friends have done is drive that point home." And with those words, Ursula turns to walk from the stablishment.

Puck:
"Oh my!" Puck exclaims. "What happened to the heroes I thought I traveled with. Yes, I guess I did miss a lot. Such violence to react to mere words. And such irreverence for the sanctity of life. Bragging about children taking the lives of others. I think that is tragic, not laudable. And what happened to the heroic people of honor who tried to save the people in the twisted inn, and tried to save the elves who were being murdered? What do I discover? That my own companions are cutthroats who make a living of death (looking at Jaelin), and murderers with no conscience who would slay people in their sleep with no regrets (looking at Lestat). The principles of what is rightful, honorable, lawful, and good scream out against such actions. I always admired elve for sharing my reverence of life." Puck shakes his head sadly. "This must stop. There are important tasks to be done, but if I do not receive a promise from everyone in the group that they will conduct themselves with civility and honor, and that they might restrain murderous tendencies, I guess I might have to find nother way to save Toril." Seeing Ursula starting to leave. "Please wait. Believe me that this behavior is not typical. They did say that they are just coming from a fight and maybe the blood is still hot. Try not to let any prejudgments of elves from the recent conflicts get in th way of what needs to be accomplished. I would welcome your sword, but more importantly, your friendship, for the true victories are not won at the edge of a blade." Puck looks back over toward the group. "Now, Ursula has offered to help us without asking for any type of recompense. We can at least pay her back with friendship, and maybe at least try to talk and understand before blades are unsheathed."

Blythe:
WOW, Very impressive fighting skills, I must say. However, I would have to agree with my kin, Puck is corect. We are in this together, what good are Heros if they fight amongst themselves. Ursula, you did have it coming, you are a bit quick to say things efore you think them through. I can accept differences amongst people, sometimes I may not even like others for whatever reason, but I don't run my mouth before I know the situation. do not be upset because they acted with the same short temper that you b sically have. Maybe by putting all this energy together, we might be able to defeat this group the Black Feathers.

Allistarra:
The willowy elven woman prays to Selune for strength when Ursula mutters her slurs, running her ivory skinned fingers over her holy symbol.

It is then that she notices that her fingers are still slick with the blood of the Emperor and the fatigue of rantic spell casting crashes in upon her.

Outside of the Oriental sanctuary, her infirmities quickly overtake her body once more, and a muffled cry for help escapes her thin pale lips as she falls to one knee, bracing herself with her staff.

Betwe n intermittant body wracking coughs, Allistarra speaks in an almost hissing tone, "When slaying monsters, see to it that you yourself do not become a beast. One may only stare into the Abyss for so long, before it is reflected in their eyes."

With that she no longer bears the strength to speak, and fumbles through her pouches looking for the herbs to make her medicinal tea.

Ursula:
Upon hearing both Blythe and Puck's comments, Ursula stops and turns back to the group. When she sees the woman drop to one knee however, the concern on the former gladiator's face is apparent as Ursula strides over to help her to her to a chair. "Dispite any misgivings I may have about your kind, I will not abandon those who need my aid. Though you done nothing but reinforce my opinion concerning the backstabbing nature possessed by your kind, one that I am all too familiar with, by the way, I will temper my tongue's rough edge if you will still have me with you." As she speaks, Ursula glances down briefly at the golden manacles she wears upon her wrists angily. "Besides, the one called Blackstaff may be able to help me with a particular problem of mine. I don't have to like you to work with you, as I've been paired with those I didn't like in the Arena of Blood for my continued survival. But if you attack me again in such a manner, I will not be responsible for my actions. You wish to prove me wrong, do so with your actions and not your steel."

Ursula:
She turns steady gaze over the group, pausing only to smile at Puck before it settles upon Zhan. "You say I know nothing of prejudice, half-elf? I say you know nothing of me. Were you sold into slavery by an elf to dark elves at the age of 11? No, you wer not. Were you forced to train as a warrior day after day, then sent to die in gladiatorial matches for the amusement of others? I think not. For nearly ten years I lived that kind of life and in all that time I had to endure the mistreatments of the dark ones. You only know prejudice, whereas I have truly lived it." She raises her arms so that the manacles can be seen by all. "I survived my trails and have been marked for the world to see. These manacles symbolize the pain and hatred that I've had to endu e, things I would never have known were it not for the weakness of elves, things I seek to be rid of. Yet I am willing to set my feelings concerning your people and my own quest aside for the good of all. So don't sit there and tell me what I know or don't know. Live my life and see how you come out of it." And with those words, she goes over to the bar, trying not to let the tears show that are forming in her eyes.

Jaelin:
Jaelin literally laughs, not in the least bothered by the comments made by anyone there. She looks at Ursula briefly, shaking her head. "Honor is exactly what just saved you, you ignorant human. If I had wished you real harm, you would not be speaking a you are now. Instead, I wish to simply shut you up, and even this seems beyond your capability. Know mercy when you see it, and mayhap you'll even have the honor to use it yourself someday." She then turns to Puck, "Puck, you should know me better than that. If I had wished to hurt her, there'd be nothing but a silt stain where she's at. There are lessons that can be learned, and I hoped she would from the brief blindness, but apparently she cannot, as she still chooses to insult and speak of things he knows nothing of." She shrugs her shoulders. "There are those who will always prejudge, and by that they proclaim their ignorance. It is up to her whether she chooses the intelligent way or not."

Ursula:
As she stands at the bar listening to the closed-minded comments of the female elven warrior-mage, Ursula shakes her head sadly. She orders a bottle of Firewine and makes her way to sit at another table as far from the others as she can yet still be withi earshot of their conversation. "Ahh," she mutters to herself. "It's probably for the best anyway. I mean aside from Puck, there really isn't anyone over there worth knowing. Well, except for Blythe and the frail elf lady. I hope she's alright and all. She really doesn't need to be out travelling in her condition." Ursula stops for a moment, considering what she just said. Things couldn't be as bad as all that, could it? "By the arms of Garagos! Listen at you, girl. To hear you talk, you'd think the world is coming to an end or something." Then it occured to her that with the way things were going back on Faerun, that might not be too far off the mark. "Damn ye dwarves for asking me to do this and damn yerself for a fool, Ursula, for getting caught up in this mess in the first place." So said, the gladiator takes a long pull from the bottle of firewine. Savoring the warmth that now flowed through her, the human gladiator propped her feet on the table and settled in. It was going to be a long night.

Zhan:
Thank you Blythe, I will gladly drink and eat with you. I am very thirsty and hungry. When Jaelin blinds Ursula and the children attack her hair, I can only laugh as quietly as I can, but probably to no avail at keeping it quiet. I listen as Lestat tells rsula about us and think back on it as a learning experience. One that will stay with me for quite some time to come. As Ursula keeps her hand on her sword, I also keep my hand on my own broadswords, almost in anticipation...I listen to her again throw an agonistic words at our group and when she turns to leave the tavern, I say, Good will be with you M'Lady and may you always hear your enemies comming before they arrive. Then, Puck, you had to go and call her back. Now I must act nice to her after what I aid. I thought she was leaving you know. Oh well, I guess I can tolerate one human. You're right Blythe, Ursula did have it comming. She should be more acceptable to others, even if we are not humans. As for the Black Feathers, they stand not a chance against a group such as ours. Ursula, this arena of blood that you speak so loudly of o er and over again, sounds like our every day travels. We'll see how your battles with one at a time compare to many at once. I hope you remember your skills well enough while trying to battle two, three or even four foes at one time. (Well, so much for t lerance.) When Ursula looks over at me and tells me how rough she has had life, I just shake my head up and down agreeing with her and think to myself that maybe, just maybe, someday we may tell her of our own lives and stories of how we got this far in l fe. But not today. No, today I am going to eat and drink some ale and then I will sharpen and clean my weapons so that they may be ready for what may come...

Jaelin:
Jaelin glances over at Alistarra, and ignores Ursula's further comments while she makes her way to the bar, though a low chuckle is heard at Zhan's quandary. She speaks quickly with the barkeep, and within a few moments comes back with a large steaming c p and a water pitcher that is not. She sets them down silently on the table and gives Ali a hand getting into the chair. "Sometimes the heat helps the herbs enter your blood faster." Jaelin comments quietly and then takes a seat next to Zhan and Galen. he eagerly grabs one of the tankards and takes a drink, though Alistarra is close enough to see the slight tremor of the bladesinger's hand as she lifts the mug, a telltale sign to the cleric that she wasn't the only one close to breakdown from the magic sed in the last couple of hours. Jaelin acts as if everything is perfectly wonderful, gives a dazzling smile to Puck and Blythe and asks, "Well, what have you two been up to?"

Lestat:
When Lestat see's Ursula walk over to the bar then goes and sits by herself. I get up from my table that I am sitting at,and grap a pitcher of ale and walk over to Ursula. Holding out the pitcher "May this pointy ear sit with you or do I make you to sick or such a thing", there is a simle on his face and I cock my haed to one side holding my arms open. If she accepts then I sit. I then offer her a refill to her mug. " I propose a toast to all of the slaves that have ever made thier owners pay for what the did." When I hold my mug up you see that there are scars on his wrist's.

Galen:
In shock from the action of my comrades. I look at the children, "You have not learned anything from your fathers death. No you did, you learned how to be like your father's killers. Yet you forget you are still children, and in your home you may be ro lity here you,re still children. No matter how many or who you killed. And Lestat with your training in their ways of honor you acted no better than the ninjas." "Oh and don't think I didn't here your words Jaelin. You being a bladesinger, you are the ost honored next to a elven knight. You showed no honor." Getting up from the table walking to Ursula's table. "As for me, some say I have no honor and it may be true. But as the way of a swashbuckler, we help and defend those in need no matter the re son. Against friend or foe, there is my honor." With a nod to Puck, I place my hat on the table and my hands fall to rest on my hilts........"HONOR a word and cheap, ACTIONS strong as the heart of a HERO."

Blythe:
Looking around from one person to another(in the group). I do believe there is alot of tension here. I'm sure glad that is all over, walking over to the bar, and ordering the biggest tankard of ale that I can get my little two hands around, I turn & head ack to the table. While walking, I tip the tankard up and drink, pulling it down to have an ear to ear grin, " It has been a long time since I've had an ale, this sure does taste good". Looking at my companions, " I do believe that everyone is wound up ti hter than a Gnome Invention, I've never met so many quick tmepered people in my life. Alright, I've got one for the group(pausing to take another long swig of ale); Now, What is the stuff between a Dragons toes? Come on this is easy, give up, Well it is s ow Dwarves." Slapping myself on the knee, (taking another swig of ale)"That one gets me everytime." I begin to chuckle. Turning to Kelvin," So what do you do", still laughing at my own joke." Can Iget you something to drink or eat, speaking of which, WENCH , Iwould like to order a Roast and Potato dinner big enough to feed that tall warrior, pointing towards Ursula, but bring to me!

Jaelin:
Jaelin looks as if she's been slapped at Galen's words. She looks at him for a moment, then responds in a quiet voice. "I am responsible for my own actions, and my own actions alone. I followed my code of honor as I was taught by the Bladesingers Guild o harm only if necessary and against those who would threaten elves and the elven way of life. I walked into a bar, tired from a fight for my life and the lives of my companions, wanting no more than a good round and pleasantries. Instead my people and y companions are insulted at every sentence that falls from a stranger's lips. Even when that same stranger shows some slight compassion, she continues her slurs in the same sentence, as if unable to speak in any other way. For this I respond in a way t at will harm her in no way, will hopefully teach her that speaking as such is not wise in front of those she knows nothing of, and will not wound anything but possibly her pride. I drew not my weapons at any point, and did not even indulge in likewise in ults beyond her own ignorance, though I watched my whole city killed by her race, and have every reason in the world to hate anything walking with human blood racing through it's veins. I have proven in battle that I have chosen to NOT let that hate rule me, that I chose to judge the man, not his race, and I have been happy to battle by your side and the side of the rest of this party when many of my people would have treated you and Zhan in the same way as Ursula just did the lot of us." She shakes her ead wearily, looking genuinely hurt and confused, but her voice is steady as she finishes. "No honor? I suppose that's why I carefully chose a spell that would not wound. I suppose that's why I cared enough to make sure no harm would come to her from it." She swirls her drink in the glass for a moment, then sets it down, leaning her head back and closing her eyes in the chair. "Honor's a funny thing isn't it?" She continues resting her eyes, though a smile comes to her lips at Blythe's joke.

Allistarra:
Allistarra mutters, "Thankyou" to Jaelin as she assists her.

Upon hearing Galen's remarks, she places a soft hand upon Jaelin's, gripping it to give Jaelin a sense of patience.

Allistarra looks across the room with a 'thousand yard stare' and qu etly, but fervently, whispers, "Faber est suae quis que fortunae. Silent leges inter arma."

Concluding, she coughs a bit, sips her tea, and continues to hold to Jaelin's hand.

Black Staff:
There is a slam of a fist on the table. "I cant belive that I am hearing this. All of you act like children. None of you are thinking with a clear head. Ophiliea is this the group that you have come up with to save a world? Galen you and Ursula both have overstepped your bounds. The children here acted to a challenge. Ursula's words would have been met the same way by their people, even if it was just the man that kept the gradens. It is the way that they are. IN THIER EYES THEY DID RIGHT!! Jaelin has been ta ght from the moment she was born to protect her race and to defend it at all cost. IN HER EYES SHE DID WHAT WAS RIGHT. Now I show you the one person that should hate me and all humans more than any. Lestat come here." Lestat walks over to Kelvin. "Turn around Lestat." When he does Kelvin pulls his shirt up. The scars are so bad that the many looks like one. "This is slavery, this is how bad humans can be, watching your father killed, your mother raped many times, then you becoming a slave to the person th t did those things to your family THAT is a reason to HATE ALL PEOPLE, but yet this man said nothing nor did he do anything. So, I ask you, who here as the RIGHT to hate a race." Kelivn lets go of Lestat's shirt. Lestat walks back over to the table were Ursula is sitting. "Please excuse me." Lestat then walks outside. (Any one trying to go with him, loses him in the crowd outside)

Ursula:
Upon seeing Lestat looming over her like the very spectre of death itself, Ursula licks her lips even as she sets down her bottle. She doesn't know if he is going to finish what was started and so is prepared to go out on her feet as a true warrior. Yet a she stands, Ursula is surprised to see not only him seat himself at her table but the half-elf with the feathered hat make his way over as well. She sits back down and is once more suprised as the elf offers to refill her glass. She listens to him speak nd drinks to his toast. Then she notices his scars. "You were a slave as well?" Ursula chuckles without humor to herself. "I can not take back what I've said. Nor would I. My experiences are my own and as such mine to deal with. I realize that my words we e spoken in haste. For this I apologize. I cannot begin to express my sorrow at what you've had to endure as a slave. All I can say is that stronger bonds than the chains of our former masters bind all that were once enslaved as we were. For this reason d I call you brother." And with those words, Ursula takes and extends her hand toward the elf. "I am Ursula Edrigar of Tethyr, gladiator and veteran of Manshaka's Arena of Blood. A human. Just as you are proud to be an elf, so must I be proud of who I am. Perhaps today's hard-learned lesson will be one that I carry forever in my heart. I offer my hand in friendship and my skills as a warrior to you if you will have them both, one or the other. The choice is yours."

Puck:
"We all have drinks. A toast then, and to this: A standard of right and wrong that does not care about the perspective of the individual. Infighting is wrong, can we agree on that, no matter 'in whose eyes?' Cold-blooded murder is wrong, no matter what. S is any type of violence that is not in defense of what is right and just, or in defense of your own life and the life of your companions. I raise a glass to these principles, and if we be Sheela's champions, (or Chauntea or Rillifane if you prefer) then say raise a glass with me. Those who will toast these principles, I will travel with, for saving the world is useless if we damn our own souls."

Galen:
"You speak of bounds: to some are narrow and some broad. Just a word to you humans and elves, we half-elves are hated by one or both sides. So we have to work to please both sides." Takes a seat at the table. "And elves speak in the same way as Ursula, with sly comments. As I, but I try to send them across as humor for all to understand." Looking to the children "Blackstaff can you inform them that I will speak to them through others so that my words do not come across as a challange." "That sounds good Blythe. I'll have the same but smaller." I laugh

Blythe:
Here! Here!.. A toast then; to whom ever. WENCH! A tankard of ale for my friend here,Galen. And, where is my roast?, I'm a bit the starving side, just look at me, I'm shrinknig by the minute. I'll also have another tankard, (as i tip the one I have, to guzzle it down as it were my last drink). S When do we get started, I'm ready, of course after this meal, and maybe a couple of other drinks.

Jaelin:
Jaelin continues to relax for a moment, though her hand balls into a fist and her eyes narrow on Blackstaff when he tells Lestat to take off his shirt. She knows he'll obey him without question, and she knows what it cost him to bare his back like that, er thoughts evident on her face. She watches him as he leaves, knowing that he needs some time to himself, and relaxes again when he walks back in and sits with Ursula and Galen. Galen's comments again catch her by surprise, leaving her wondering what h s brought about his sudden change of character, but then she just shrugs, figuring that to not be her problem, though one to be remembered. She uses her other hand to raise her glass with a nod to Puck and his toast, a light nudge to Zhan's ribs in the pr cess, a slight smile at what she has no doubt he's thinking. "In principle, agreed. And thank you for the food and drink Blythe." She then leans her head slightly sideways in the direction of Alistarra, responding to the light tap on her sleeve from the frail elf.

Allistarra:
Allistarra lifts her tea cup slightly, and in a tired fashion says softly, "An oral contract isn't worth the paper its written on. As for myself, I shall stay on the moonlit pat as Selune has directed me. No more, no less." With that she sips her herba concoction quietly and leans towards Jaelin.

Ursula:
At the mention of the of a toast, the former gladiator raises her bottle of firewine: "Agreed, little Puck and know that in doing so, each of you have become my shield companion, in whom I place my complete trust. For Garagos teaches that no truer compani n can a warrior have than her shield mate. Once given, my word is my bond and so I give it to you. My hand will only be raised in defense of others in need, my shield companions, and myself. So pledges Ursula Edrigar and if I go back on my pledge, may my eapons and my strength fail me." At this point, she takes a hearty swig from the bottle.

Puck:
Puck holds his mug up. "I thank those of you who have chosen to respect my beliefs. I think this mission's end is too important to be compromised by the means. And Alistarra, a verbal contract, especially considering that the majority of people cannot rea and write, is very binding, because the 'paper its printed on' is the heart, and all the gods bear witness, including yours. (Religion-15) In the oft-quoted words of Selune, 'Let all on whom my light falls be welcome if they desire to be so.' I trust tha you, as a priestess of your goddess, will help to encourage the tolerance that this group sorely needs, and your clergy is famous for." Puck takes a long draw of his mug, smiles at the others, and says, "I drink my own toast, to life, which this mission is all about."

Blythe:
I Finish my 2nd tankard of ale, & order my 3rd one. I also finish up my meal, and settle up with the bar, the tab. While drinking and sipping on my tankard I walk around the bar to see who else is here, I stop and check on Ursula, and check on Puck, I als chit chat with Zhan, where are you from what have you down and so forth. I also step outside the bar, and observe the passerbyers.

Ursula:
"To life, then," replies Ursula as she takes yet another long pull from her bottle of firewine, returning Puck's toast once more. "And to friendship." After savoring its warmth once more, the ex-gladiator turns to Blackstaff. "You who call us children. We await more of your knowledge and insights. Tell us what it is that we need to know so that we can do what it is that needs doing. What are these moonwells that I've heard so much about? Are they native here to these isles or can they be found anywhere in hese Realms? Are they connected to the unseasonable weather occuring on Faerun, and if so what do we do to put things right?"

Zhan:
I start to answer Blythe's questions of where I am from and what I do, but before I get words from my mouth, he leaves and steps outside. Maybe, I will talk to him in the future, but as Ursula talks of complete trust, this I cannot give quite yet. I only have met these strangers. I may come to trust them, but for now, I must watch and listen to them to gain my complete trust. There is not many whom I give this trust to. One must prove themselves first. I drink my ale and order another. I listen and watch a our party indulges in the comforts of pleasures and quisine. I also keep watch for anything that seems out of place and dangerous, for you never know what may lurk in a corner or shadow...

NARRATION (07/30/00):
Lestat comes back over to the table where Ursala and Galen are sitting at and offers his own hand in acceptance back to her, saying as they shake, "We are the same, yet we are different." His entire demeanor is changed noticeably from when he walked outs de, very solemn and the threat of leashed violence is obvious in his face to anyone who looks him in the eye.

The conversation at the main table where the biggest part of the group is sitting is pretty much carefee. Puck is talking, Zhan is watchful of their surroundings, and Blythe is talking, harassing the local wenches. Ophelia and Blackstaff are deep in con ersation, and Jaelin and Alistarra are breaking off in peals of laughter that echo across the bar between soft bouts of murmured conversation.

At Galen's last comments toward the group, Lestat's head snaps back in his direction, giving a look that clearly wishes him to be six feet under. When Puck proposes the toast thanking everyone for respecting his beliefs, Lestat slaps his hand down on the table, a jarring sound that echos through the tavern. Lestat looks at Puck in a cold stare, all the more menacing for it's calmness. "I don't BELIEVE that our BELIEFS are the same. Are you blind as to see what we have here? I, at times, believe that b ing cold-hearted at times has it's advantages. And I feel that murder CAN be necessary. I have done it before, and I will do it again. And I have no problem.." Blackstaff suddenly jumps up, breaking into Lestat's sentence. "Lestat!" Blackstaff yells. estat turns immediately to him, facing him fully and finishes, "...on putting MY beliefs where I FEEL they must lay. And I will destroy even YOU if you get in my way."

Blackstaff sits back down in his seat and begins speaking. "It has begun. There will come a time when friends become foes, and foes become friends. The anger of the world is heard all over. The trees, the animals, the seas all begin to suffer. The Order of the Mother begins to crumble. Many die. The lands decay, the seas boil, the animals begin to perish. Will man survive? Or will he be destroyed in all of the chaos? Man needs the seas to drink from. Man needs the trees to build shelter. Man need the animals for food. Will man kill all men? Yet there is hope. For foes that are friends can combine and destroy foes that are friends. Can we assume Ophelia, that these Black-Feathers are run by a greater power? They're too stupid to do this on th ir own. But who is that greater power? The information that we have gathered so far is that you're the only druid around in the world. But the only druids we know of for sure are those associated with the moonwells. We have some knowledge of moonwells in other places, strange lands that none of us have ever been to. It is said that a moonwell can give the location of another. And we know that somehow, the Black-Feathers are destroying the moonwells. If the moonwells are all destroyed, then the Oracl becomes true. So, what we have to do is go to the moonwells here on the Moonshae's, prevent their destruction, and try to locate the others. This is what I ask of your group. Are they up for it? Or will the hatred of man and his beliefs destroy them?

Ophelia, looking visibly worried, answers him. "I have been with some of them for a few months now. And I feel that I can speak for all of them except Blythe and Ursula. That (glancing at Lestat, Jaelin, and Ali) we can set aside our differences as elve and help."

"Good, then it is settled." Blackstaff responds. "In the morrow, I need you to travel to Lotune', on the northern coast of the Moonshae Isle. There you can catch a ship and go to the first island north. There is supposed to be a moonwell there. See th t it is secure."

Ophelia nods to Blackstaff, then turns her attention to the whole group. "This is your last chance. Are you willing to EQUALLY RESPECT each other's personal beliefs in order to help stop this chaos?"
::::ACTIONS::::

Blythe:
Zhan, I of course wait for you to answer before I step outside. I'm just curious about the people I travel with. After we finish our conversation, I then step outside./ When Lestat comes back in and starts talking, I step back in and listen to his lecturing, and also listen to Blackstaff. At Lestat's comments on murder, " Hey guys, I vote that he doesn't pull any gaurd duty at night, I sure would sleep a lot easier knowing he isn't watching over me,feeling so easy on murder" I of course say this with a smile on my face, and in a half heartedly tone of voice. When Blackstaff, begins speaking about the Moonwells and their location, I walk over to the group of Black Feathers in the Bar, "Now Boys, I know Yev' been listening to us all evening, I also know Ye have been taking notes for WHOEVER(said in as a sarcastic voice as possible)does the thinking for Ye, let me buy Ye guys another drink, So Ye can forget what Ye have learned tonite, I'm sure this isn't much!"

Ursula:
The human drinks the last of the firewine in her bottle before rising to her feet. "I've given you my word, from one shield-companion to another. That, and my actions will speak for me." She drops the now empty bottle and looks to the others, starting with Lestat. "Bond-brother, Puck merely follows his own heart, as must we all. Do not think him weak. His beliefs are his strength as well as ours should we all get along. Please consider my words without anger or malice to blind your vision. Many lives are in our hands now. Do that which is good in your heart."

Jaelin:
Ali's last burst of laughter is joined by Jaelin's. She winks at Ali and comments back to her, "Aye, but have you ever seen the effort it takes to chase down a chicken and pluck it? Be sure there's some meat under there before you expend your energy on it."

Lestat's slap on the table turns her attention back to what's going on in the room. She listens, slowly nodding her head. Blythe's comments about guard duty earn him a quick mischevious smile. Ursula then speaks, and Jaelin cocks her head listening. "Aye, we all must follow what is good in our hearts. And trust that we have been chosen because, whatever our belief system, we will do what is needed to right this wrong. So there must be tolerance and respect for those beliefs among us, knowing that our loyalty to each other will smooth the rough edges. I would never ask Puck to kill in cold-blood because it is against his principles, and I would expect the same respect of my beliefs from him. That is not much to ask, but it does require that no one here push their beliefs on another, and trust that loyalty within the group will override any worrisome tendencies." She stops for a moment, looking back at Puck with another rare mischevious smile. "Nagging about our endangered souls, however, is perfectly acceptable."

Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Blythe walk over to the Black-Feather's table, and her hand slides to her sword, alert and ready as she mutters under her breath, "Baantor's Hells, the boy has lost his mind."

Zhan:
Lestats slap on the table brings me back to listening to what he is saying rather than watching what is going on around the tavern. His words bring home some of my thoughts exactly and when Blythe says that he would not want Lestat to stand guard duty, I promptly volunteer for that watch myself, as I do belive that I can keep my own beliefs to myself and not pose them off to the others, smiling to Lestat and Jaelin. I am ready for our quest and am hopefull that I may spend some amount of time to see if my parents are still in Lotune' after all these years. I pose the question to all if they would mind if I looked them up. After all, it has been many years since I have seen them. I do not fully know if they are still alive or not. When I left when I was but young adolescent, I knew nothing of the world and what it represented or what it had in store for me. I have learned many things Blythe, since leaving here more than ten years ago. Especially how to deal with nature and my surroundings and of the people and their may ways of life. I have grown in ten years what it takes most men twenty or thirty years to develope. Yes, I am ready for this adventure and will gladly accept the responsibilities of freindship for those I travel with and my sword will protect all that are with me. WENCH, one more ale if you please, before I go to seek my parents...

Galen:
I stay seated and continue to eat and drink. It may be the last good food we eat for a while. So eating is important now but I continue to listen to everyone. I just shake my head as Bythe walk to the table......"Here we go again."

Allistarra:
Allistarra looks up at Ophelia, suddenly very somber, and simply says, "Yes."

Afterwards, she went up to her room, where she tries to achieve a restful night's sleep.

Blythe:
"Well! Well! Boys, I have question for Ye." As I stand near the Black Feathers table, pulling a chair closer, then standing on it. "Why do Ye call yourself The Black Feathers, I mean; what is so menacing about that? A feather comes from a bird, a Black feather comes from either a chicken, crow, pigeon, or a raven. Which none are very frightening. I would have used, Black Tiger or Black Panther or something with more of a fear in the name, unless Ye fellows are are more of the bird type." I'm saying all of his with gestures of flapping my arms(regaurding birds) and making growling faces(regaurding cats)and holding up my hands like claws. Upon finishing last statement of birds people, I tuck my hands under my arms, and flap my elbows, whilst moving my head in form of a pecking Chicken. " So which is boys?!"

Ursula:
As she makes her plea to Lestat, Ursula can't help but notice that the halfling Blythe is making his way over toward the Black Feather's table. She stops her speech as Galen utters those words that every adventurer says when there is about to be trouble, 'Here we go again.' She watches and listens to the halfling's antics and words, admiring his heart while cursing his audacity. It was going to be put up or shut up time, and as Ursula looked down at her cesti-covered hands, she couldn't help but smile. "Well, time for the ole' rough-and-tumble!" Walking over to where Blythe was clucking and strutting about like a chicken, she called to the halfling: "Ahh, my litte red-breasted poppinjay. Come now, it's plain to see what kinds of birds these are. They be vultures and not worthy of your attention. In fact, you're probably the most action they have seen in days. And we wouldn't to cause trouble now would we? Unless, of course, that's being what they want." She then turns to face those gathered at the Black Feathers table. "Is trouble what you want?"

Zhan:
I sit and watch Blythe and Ursula as I eat, at the table of the Black Feathers. Not wanting to go through again what we have for the past few days, I just sit and enjoy my meal and ale wondering if they will get themselves killed or maybe just see what they are made of...

Seena:
Seena merely sits down at an empty table and watches everyone with mild amusement, as if she had not even heard Lestat's words, though by the way her eyes slowly focus on him it is clear that she did.

Rowin:
"Blythe, you can stop laughing now." As Rowin gets up and whispers in Jaelins ear, "What do you think will happen to Blythe?",he walks over to the bar and orders some orange juice. Then he turns and walks upstairs to practice with his weapon.

NARRATION (08/02/00):
Blythe is doing his best rendition of the chicken walk and Ursula basically asks the "chickens" if they feel froggy. The door swings open to the tavern and 10 more "chickens" walk through the door. One of the "chickens" sitting at the table says "Yep, WE o feel froggy." With that, they (the chickens) grab the table, turning it over (Blythe make a dex check), sending Blythe flying. Then using the same table, they ram it into Ursula and shove her into the wall (Ursula make a saving throw vs. stoning). The rest of the people in the tavern clear out as the other 10 "chickens" come running in.

::::::here's your bar fight::::::::

Blythe:
I attemted to move as fast as possible to one side (using my tumbling ability), (I rolled a 20 for my dex check, not using any mods). If I don't make it, I guess I'm pinned, If I do make it, I quickly back myself up to the bar, so no one can get behind me " All right Ye, I see that I've your attention. Looky here Ye've got more of your friends coming to help you, well now lets have this dance." I put my hands up wide side to side.

Jaelin:
Jaelin watches the developing problem, shaking her head. She then glances around the room quickly, checking to see if any weapons are drawn or if it's going to just be a good 'ole barroom fight. Seeing none, she settles back in her chair to watch the br wl. She answers quietly back to Rowin, "I think he'll have some fun, or get beat up. Don't know which yet. We'll watch and see."

Ursula:
Getting hit with a table, then being pushed into the wall with the table was not what she expected from the vultures. However the hit doesn't even knock the wind out of Ursula (rolled 16 on d20, needed 13.) She'll try to slip out from between the wall and the table before she's fully pinned in by the table by dropping down and coming out from under it (rolled 10 for tumbling on d20) Hopefully this will bring her at groin level for two of the Black Feathers. While she's there, Ursula will take her attacks: rolled a 14 on the first swing, and 16 on the second; if i hit with both the first guy takes 9 and the second gets 8 points damage. As she swings, she says "You look tired boys. Here, take a load off and have a seat."

Puck:
Puck's heart sinks as he sees one of his people tumble to the ground. He thinks about the unspoken pact of the halfling people and the deep bond they have as a race. "Oh no." he whispers. Puck starts toward Blythe and mutters. "This is so undignified. I can't believe the things I have to do sometimes." Then he pushes back the sleeves of his brown monk's robes and stands protectively over Blythe in case any Blackfeathers come close.

Blythe:
After my initial shock of being knocked over and all. I regain my senses, noticing Ursula faring much better than I, also seeing Puck heading in my direction, Itake a quick head count of Black Feathers. I move as quick as possible towards any fruit, and pick up 4 or 5 peices and begin to juggle them, trying to get the Blacky's to watch this, I pull out my bag of marbles, and pour them on the floor infront of me (hoping that they realy don't notice, being as mad as they are and wonderng what the hell I'm doing juggling fruit. As they come towards me more (waiting till they are about 4' away, I start throwing/juggling the fruit towards them, if they run towards me in anger, hopefully they will not notice or ignore the (30) marbles on the floor. Again I wait still with my back up against the bar, looking for my tankard of ale.

Zhan:
Puck, you sure you want to involve yourself at this time? Maybe you should sit back down and watch also to see how they fare. Pretty good show if you ask me...

Alas, I figured it would come to this. Oh well, Like I said before, I will sit here and continue eating and drinking my ale while watching Blythe and Ursula fight off the Black Feathers. When Blythe and Ursula got kinda pinned, I can only laugh to myself t how they got themselves into this mess. As Jaelin does, I look for any weapons to appear, and as there are none showing at the moment, I also will stay here and enjoy the show...ever watchful for any weapon to come out.

Seena:
Still not getting up from the table she cocks her head slightly and mutters softly "Oh boy."

Jaelin:
Jaelin continues to watch, wincing with a smile at the groin shots that Ursula made, waiting to see which of the Black Feathers will be the first to throw up. She mumbles, "Effective shot." She then watches the juggling act that Blythe is doing, her eye catching the twinkle of the marbles hitting the ground. She remarks to Zhan, "This is getting pretty good. And Puck was a fiesty little priest in that first battle of ours, I don't see him backing off from this scum. But you've got to admit the veggie throwing is really an interesting weapon of choice. We're gonna spend a lot of time getting him out of trouble from now on, don't you think? But he seems rather fun."

Zhan:
You are right Jaelin, this is getting good. I thought the veggie throwing was and is again, a great weapon of choice. One where noone gets killed. I wish more of our battles were this easy, don't you? Might just be fun once in a while. Yes, Blythe, it seems, looks for trouble. It certainly is going to be a very interesting journey...WENCH, another ale if you please.

Rowin:
While practicing, Rowin hears a noise from downstairs. He then puts his weapons up and walks downstairs to see a bar fight in progress.

Galen:
"Here we go" seeing the action of the "chickens", which were not bad. As I watch them I wait for a group of them to get close to each other. When that happens I spin out of my seat and grab the chair with both hands. Turn to gain momentom and throw the chair into the group.(STR rolled 8, Dex rolled 3 and to hit 15+1+3=19 ac -1) "We'll now I guess I ruffled those feathers."

NARRATION (08/03/00):
(DM'S NOTE: Everyone make sure you use the dice page for this fight.)

Lestat just puts his feet up on the table and watches the fight. With his ale in his hand, you see him tighten his legs up with the groin shots from Ursula. He smiles with the juggling of the fruit from Blythe. All seems to be fairly even, the other chickens don't even get involved. The fight looks like it's going tit for tat until Blythe throws the marbles on the floor. The three chickens that come at him hit the marbles and then the floor just as Galen throws the chair. The chair completely misses the chickens and hits Blythe. With that Lestat looks at Galen, "Hey! Who's side you on anyways?!?"

The two chickens that Ursula hit begin to move again heading right for her. They each grab one of her arms (make a strength check to break free). The three that hit the floor from the marbles also start to get up.
::::::ACTIONS::::::

Blythe:
After the shock of being hit with a chair, I scan the room to see where it came from, I wink at Lestat, yet rub my head. The Blacky's that have fallen, I run across the top of them, again using my tumbling skills, and head towards the two on Ursula, throwing myself full shoulder at one of the two, directly at the side of the knee (rolling a 16 to hit thaco). I then roll to one side and again put my back up to any hard object(preferably a wall, but anything will do. I scan the room to get a head count of how many Blacky's in the room.

Puck:
Seeing Blythe charge the blackfeathers that have Ursula, (and silently applauding the famous halfling marble ploy), Puck half-smiles and runs towards the other blackfeather, trying at the same time to keep his serenity and pretend that this is not fun. He takes a swing at the other Blackfeather. (I rolled a 9 which hits an AC of 9, probably missed!)

Blythe:
After hitting the Blacky on Ursula, I turn and charge back to the bar running past the table where the rest of the party is watching, " Jaelin, could you order me another tankard of Ale, I'm getting thirsty." the whole time smiling from ear to ear. I head towards the fruit bowl again, and begin to throw fruit at random Blacky's.

Ursula:
After rising from her crouch, Ursula grimly surveys the bar-room. All the other patrons, with the exception of her own companions and the ten newly arrived Black Feathers, had cleared the premises. Good, she thought to herself. Fewer people to worry about getting in the way. Yet even as this passed through her mind, the former gladiator felt hands roughly grabbing her arms. The two chickens she thought downed were back up again. She fought back with her own might, resisting whatever effort they were attemp ing (rolled 13 on the STR check). As she struggled with them, both Blythe and Puck came runnung to her aid. The former hit one of the Black Feathers in the leg with a flying shoulder block while that latter took a swing at the other that was on her and mi sed. However, Blythe's action had caused the other to stumble, which was more than Ursula needed. Using the arm that the one who stumbled had a hold of, she brings both the arm and the chicken holding it around and into the other's companion and locked he hands (rolled 19+2=21), thus securing them into a bear-hug (and inflicting a base 5 points damage due to STR). "Well," she exclaims with a broad smile, "isn't this just cozy, boys!?" And with those words, she begins to apply pressure to them both.

Rowin:
When I see the fight in progress, I walk past Jaelin and go quietly behind the black-feather that Puck just swung at. Being low to the ground (short), Rowin does a double-punch to the kidneys (the first one to make the muscles contract, the second to sha ter while it's tight). Rowin runs as fast as his legs can carry him back to a chair at the table where Jaelin and Zhan are sitting, a grin from ear to ear on his face as he watches to see if he helped any.

Jaelin:
Jaelin continues to watch the fight, trying not laugh as Rowin puts in his own help, then flies back to the table. "Barkeep, another ale please! My veggie-throwing friend over there is in dire need of ale!" she yells as she watches with curiousity at Lestat. He's run around, getting large sheafs of paper, and has placed one with a quill pen in front of her, himself, and Zhan. As each person makes a move, he scribbles a number quickly and holds it up, until her and Zhan catch on (think Olympic iceskating). Holding up the paper with a "9" on it at Puck's roundhouse swing, then another at Ursula's bearhug, she laughs and answers Zhan, "Aye, this is nice isn't it? No weight of the world on our shoulders, just how much the barkeep may charge us for broken chairs!"

Zhan:
Us Jaelin? Tis not us that will end up paying for the tables and chairs. We, as you can very well see, are the audience taking in a good eve's show. Of course, the others will pay through the nose by the looks of this room already. I do think we will have loads of fun and plenty of entertainment on this quest, this I can tell already. I turn back to the fight at hand and calmly, for the time being, watch the show for awhile...

Blythe:
I climb up onto the bar now, holding my tankard of ale, taking a big sigh, and begin to down my drink (of course drinking as fast as possible & looking out the corner of my eye to see if any of the Blacky's are heading towards me). I look at the 3 that have fallen on my marbles, "Oh my goodness, I forgot about my preciuos marbles, I can't lose my Marbles!" I jump down off the bar and start gathering my marbles, at the same time I smash my tankard of ale into each of the shins of the 3 that are down(rolling 2+1=3, missed; 14+1=15, maybe; 12+1=13, not sure). Sputtering out, "My Precious Marbles; Would anyone help me gather my Marbles?"

Rowin:
"Jaelin, are you gonna sit there all day? Zhan, what are you gonna do after the fight? Seena, you haven't done much or are you just in la la land?"

Jaelin:
"We'll help you when you're done Blythe. Leave them be, they'll continue to help you I'm sure, at least till this lot of Blacky's decide they've had enough.", she calls back to him. Turning her head back toward Zhan, she nods with a wry smile. "I do believe you're right Zhan. We've not so much as lifted a finger to hurt a single chair or table in here, have we?" She settles a little more comfortably back in her chair, still keeping score of the various combatants. In response to Rowin's remarks, she looks sideways at the boy. "That's exactly what I plan to do young Rowin. Sit on my butt, enjoy the drink and this eve's entertainment. By the way, nice shot there kiddo.", she says, refering to the kidney punches he delivered to Puck's Blacky.

Blythe:
I know I started this mess, but I'm getting bored of this, after the time that I have been fighting, I notice that the Blacky's are distinguishable by there feathered earrings, ranging from a few to many, mostly black, well! I run to the ones that are down; any near me, and the two near Ursula, reaching towards the earrings, and grabbing them and PULLING as Hard as I can (out/off, even if ear lobe comes with it), "THIS is why you guys are called Black Feathers! Not bad, I like it, I think I'll keep these as a collectors piece." I look around to see if any of the other Black Feathers have any distinguishing arrangment, more than one, or different colours.

NARRATION (08/06/00):
All is going well for the fight against the "BF". When Blythe hits the one in the leg with a shoulder block, it snaps like a twig. Puck tries to do some harm but misses with his swing. With the one off of Ursula over the broken leg, she grabs the other ea ily and puts him in a bear hug. Helpless, all the BF can do is take it until he is hit from behind by Rowin. The first punch hurts, the second one maimes, as blood is spit into the eyes of Ursula. She lets loose and the BF hits the floor. Blythe downs his ale, jumps on the floor and starts to pick up his marbles. He then sees the earrings of the BF's and tears them off. That was the last straw.

"YOU! should not have done that!" yells one of the BF that came in the door. You see a large human standing in the middle of the room. He is wearing chain mail and has a broad sword at his side. You notice that this one has three feathers that are blac and one that is white. "Come and tear mine off you piece of cow dung. and if those cowards of pointy ears want any, that is fine too." With that, he draws his sword.

Blackstaff and Lestat both vanish. You did notice that Lestat drew both of his weapons. The other BF's spread out and draw their swords.
(AC for big BF is 1; all others are 3)

Ursula:
After hearing the bellowing of the Black Feather in chain mail, the former gladiator draws her short sword. Ursula rushes to meet the big man with the broad sword. She stabs at him with her weapon but misses as her opponent proves to be more nimble than she had hoped (rolled 2+2=4, hit AC 14). As Ursula sizes him up once more, she licks her lips in anticipation of the fight to come.

Galen:
"Oh you're a big boy" Thats why I'll go after the others. And let's see if the others continue to polish the seat of their pants. I jump to the bar (jumping 3) and scan the area. Find some BF's and throw 3 darts at one.

Ursula:
The ex-gladiatorial slave will attempt to block any incoming blows from the Black Feathers (especially the big one) while trying to draw her second short sword from its scabbard on her hip. "Hey, they may be point-ears," she says with a sly smile, "but they're MY point-ears. You got any problems with them, then you've got problems with me, you orge-faced, milk swilling lump of sandstone!"

Blythe:
I size up the situation, scanning the room. Alright, there are 5 Blacky's down, 10 underlings up, and now this higher ranking Blacky is here. I begin to dash in and out between the legs of everyone here. I run under tables and around chairs, all the time heading towards the big one, pulling out 2 knives (1 in each hand). As i approach the big guy, I notice Ursula is already there, I throw mysel into a tumble towards the middle of the BBF's legs, atempting to roll through them, at the same time I slash at one of his ankles (achilles tendon) and stab at the other inner thigh. I roll to a standing position and stab again at the lower back region. Rolls (1st 8+3=11,2nd 1+3=4, 3rd 11+3=14) Uh, oh, I believe I missed terribly. However I did make my tumbling roll, so I believe I am standing behind the BBF now, waiting to see what happens next.

Rowin:
As I see the others attack the big BF, I get up and double flying kick to the neck of the nearest BF, hopefully sending him to the ground.

Seena:
Seena turns her attention to the BF nearest to her. She jerks her nunchuckas out and catches the BF directly on the left side of his head doing a complete spin in the air and lands on her feet facing him. She looks to see if the BF drops to the floor.Wh ther he does or not, she comes up to guard herself against him or any others if they try anything.

Allistarra:
Realizing that things downstairs are getting a little out of hand, Allistarra decides to get the Black Feathers to reconsider their actions. She descends the stairs slowly, and regally, tiny motes of light dancing around her head like a crown (starlights innate ability). When she reaches the midpoint of the stairs a beam of moonlight crashes over her angry elven features (Moonbeam, innate ability).

"This will not be tolerated any longer! Plumed humans, flee now and live, or stay and recieve an in itation to Myrkul's throne!"

At that point, she extends her right fist, and luminescent blade of moonlight appears in her hand (Moonblade, innate ability). The moon and star light dancing around her, whipping her robe around her gives her the look of the vengeful avatar of Sehanine Moonbow (an elven war-goddess). She whirls the blade testing its balance with skill that no-one, but Jaelin, knew that she possessed. She stands ready for all comers.

Jaelin:
"Damn it, we may have to fight after all, Zhan." Jaelin surveys the developing scene, looking to see if anyone is hurting yet. "There must be a button attached to my butt...everytime I sit down, someone draws a sword."

Puck:
Seeing that the Blackfeathers want to play rough, (well, actually, Blythe started to get rough first, but he's a halfling, what do you expect?) Puck withdraws and gets a table between him and the approaching chickens. "Urogalan, help me to stop these enemies in their tracks." He prays while tightly gripping the black hound holy symbol around his neck. (hold person spell, spread out among four blackies if I can get them.)

Zhan:
Not just yet Jaelin. I want to see how these people fight for a minute or two, maybe more. Anyway, I sit and take a sip of my ale. My dinner being finished and watch the mayhem. I make sure my back is not turned to anyone in the tavern. I am ready to jump up at a moments notice though jaelin, just in case it gets too rough. But for now, it doesn't look like anything the others cannot handle for the moment...

Jaelin:
Jaelin's left brow goes up at Ursula's comment about "my pointy-ears", a bemused but totally unoffended look back in her direction. Jaelin then nods in agreement with Zhan. "It is getting rather interesting isn't it? We'll see if a bit of diplomacy works, though would you mind smacking me if the sound of my teeth gritting becomes annoying?" She then nods in the direction of Alistarra on the stairs, a slight grin evident on her face. Turning her attention back to the 9 underling BF's and their leader, her hand comes to rest lightly on the hilt of her sword, legs braced against the table. "Now sir, you have to ask yourself...do I feel lucky today? Is a mite-infested symbol of my rank and priviledge worth the risk of my life and limb? Don't the big boys at the base have a whole chest full of the things they can hand right back to me?" She shakes her head knowingly, as if letting him in on a deep dark secret. "There are a couple of priests here you seem to have really upset. You really don't want them going righteous all over you, do you? They get to swinging things, calling down gods and such, and it could just get downright nasty. All just because a halfling wished to know why you haven't brain enough to come up with a more ferocious name. Be the big man, won't you, and just leave it be."

Blythe:
(Rerolling to hits)The slash to the acchelles tendon missed, the stab to the inner thigh hit(dam= 5), and the third attack to the lower back missed. I am still standing behind the BBF, waiting to see what happens next. I am scanning the room for the three nearest other BF's, for my next targets.

Ursula:
The female ex-gladiator stands ready, her twin short swords ready in case Jaelin's words fall on deaf ears. She seriously hoped that a fight could be avoided. But if it could not... Ursula licks her lips. If it could not, she would show them a performance to rival anything seen in or out of the arena.

Blythe:
I pick out another BF nearby. I throw 3 knives at him(attack rolls 7, 6,& 15 hit), hitting with the last knife (dam = 6). I then focus my next attack at the BBF infront of me, waiting to see what Ursula does next, also scanning the room at the remainding party, looking at Jaelin & Zhan sitting and watching the fight, winking in their direction.

NARRATION (08/12/00):
With Ursula and Blythe both attacking the big BF, he is a lot faster than they think. He fights back, trying to hit Blythe in the head with the hilt of his sword, but misses. The thrust forward does not miss Ursula (12 pt.of damage Alex).

Galen, Seena, and Rowin all get into the fight. Galen lets some darts fly jumpimg up on the bar. While he is in PLAIN view of all, daggers come flying back at him. He is hit so many times by them that they knock him off the bar breaking his right shoulde (arm useless 22 pts of damage Don). Seena sends her two sticks on a chain into a whirl. Her hits land their mark on the poor BF, knocking him out. Rowin, speed demon that he is, runs along the table trying to kick a BF in the head. He misses and just a out gets out of the way of the blow from the BF, but can't quite do it, taking a scratch on the arm (3 pts of damage Josh).

The rest of the group seems to be waiting on the BF's until Jaelin and Ali both make their threats to the BF's that are standing around. That is when chaos happens. The door to the bar flies open and Lestat comes staggering inside, he is cut in many place and one of his swords is broken. Looking at the air in the room he says "You have to do better than that!" Blackstaff then yells and a figure standing behind him appears with two daggers dripping in blood. Lestat lets his broken sword fly and it stabs th guy in the left shoulder. Blackstaff smacks his staff on the ground and multi color lights come from it, landing on 5 different figures that are standing around. One is by Ursula, one is behind Ali coming down the stairs, One is rushing towards Lestat an there in one a piece coming for Jaelin and Zhan.

There are now a TOTAL of 9 BF's (this includes the big one) and 6 unknowns. The unknowns are on Ali, Jaelin, Lestat, Blackstaff, Zhan, and Ursula. The big Bf is still with Ursula and Blythe. There are Two coming for the following, Puck, Seena, and Blythe. here is one on Rowin, and Galen. Sooo....
Ali- one unknown
Jaelin- one unknown
Zhan- one unknown
Ursula- one unknown and big BF
Blythe- two BF's
Puck- two BF's (in hold spell at the moment)
Galen- one BF
Seena- two BF's
Rowin- one BF

Seena:
Seena, seeing two BFs coming at her, begins to swing her chucks again and ducks under one catching in the knee to take it out as a distraction. She then, being behind him, gives him a good kick in the rear to send him sprawling into the other BF and comes up to guard herself in case something went wrong.

Rowin:
After Rowin is scratched by a BF he does a jumpkick, lands, looks at the people fighting the big BF, and turns around, hopeing to see his BF hit the ground. He then puts some distance between him and the BF by moving to the wall.

Blythe:
Quickly surmising the situation, Ursula & I have the BBF and now some sort of magical creature heading or appearing near us," Ursula, I think I started more than I wanted to, however we are in this together as well as the rest of the group, be careful of our back side, something appears to be coming for you, I take this BBF." turning to face him completely, I swing at the BBF with both blades, both attacks are directed at his thighs, one slashing(11 missed) the other a stab(17 hit, dam = 5). I begin to shf le back towards a wall, scanning the room to see how my companions are faring with their combatants, never taking my eyes off the BBF.

Zhan:
When I first see Lestat come through the doorway with broken sword and in an awfull mess, I instantly jump up, telling Jaelin that I guess the time has come. When the unknown comes at me, I meet him and thrust the broadsword in my right hand into his neck (17 to hit, 12 points dam), hoping this brings him to his knees. I then look for the next black feather or unknown to take out. If the unknown comes back at me again, I swing the broadsword in my left hand to cut his head off (16 to hit, 13 points dam). I run for the next black feather closest to me... Another battle has begun. I guess it has been long enough since our last one that we have time to rest and relax for awhile. I knew it wouldn't be long before we had to battle them again...

If the broadsword did not cut off the unknown's head, I plunge it through his heart while he is down and twist it into his upper body, hoping to cut out his heart...

Ursula:
The Big Black Feather's forward thrust had caught Ursula almost completely flat-footed. Had it not been for the Gallic-style gladiatorial armor she wore, that self same blow could very have done her in. Trying to rouse herself from the shock of the hit, Ursula went on the offensive once more. She wove a beautiful ring of flashing steel in an attempt to pierce the big man's defenses. Her first blow was caught by his broadsword (3+2=5 AC 13, missed, and 10+2=12 AC 4 still another miss) Frustration is beginning to set in when another foe steps up to the ex-gladiatorial slave. Now having to face off against two foes, Ursula licks her lips, uncertain as to whether she has bitten off just a little more than she can chew in this fight.

Jaelin:
Jaelin sees Lestat and knows in an instant that they've been fooled. Rising quickly from the table, she sees the magical twinkles revealing the previously unseen foes. She turns to look at Ali, screaming, "Behind you!" as she effortlessly continues the wirl, her blade coming out as if one with her hand and slicing at the unknown figure coming at her (Rolled 15, 7=one hit; 8+2=10 pts dmg). She keeps her back to Zhan as much as possible, trying to avoid any further surprises from behind.

Puck:
Puck sees that the two blackfeathers in front of him are held, and then watches as Galen goes down hard, with a blackfeather still nearby. "Well, I'm not much of a fighter, but I see where I can help." He mutters. "Urogalan, shield me from the assaults of my enemies." (sanctuary spell). After casting sanctuary, Puck makes his way over to Galen, hoping the BF fails his save and doesn't notice as the halfling attempts to heal his companion.

Galen:
"OOOOOuch, I got to remember to juggle those daggers. PUCK need a little aid." Remaining behind the bar, but being alert to see if a BF will try to finsh me off. I lay ready to stab with my main-gauche at the first foe I see. Thinking to myself, with the appearence of the other foes. The chair polishing has been interrupted. I then chuckle

Ursula:
Anger sets in as Ursula squares herself against her foes. Then a move from Blythe causes a smile to form on her face. Not to be outdone by the irrepresible (and somewhat crazed) halfling, Ursula drops both her shortswords and assumes a hand-fighting postu e. "All right then," she says excitedly. "Round two. We'll do this my way." A wild glint is evident in her eyes as stands her ground waiting on her foes to make a move.
