Hrisopigi ('Golden Spring') Monastery. Located near the safe harbour of Faros, it has rooms for rent and often hosts weddings and baptisms, when the font just visible out on the point is used. The cafes on the nearby beach of Apokofto, or a table under the tamarisk tree at Francesco's in Faros, are perfect spots for listening to the papa's chant drifting across the still water as you contemplate the sunset and the general fineness of life.
