Suzette's, " Baby Jenny Takes a Quantum Leap."

Page 5

[PAGE 5, PANEL 1]

The panting dog has caught up with our heroes. Apollo listens intently. Baby Jenny is floating about, enchanted, petting the dog.

PLUTO DOG (look of pleading): O thank the Holy House of the Almighty Mouse! The masters of our universe are here to save us!

APOLLO: Masters? Saviours? We're none of that. My name is Apollo and this is my daughter, Jenny Quantum. We were just out for a walk, but we'd be glad to help.

[PAGE 5, PANEL 2]

The dog sidles up to Apollo, rubbing his head on Apollo's chest, eyes closed in divine ecstasy and doggie gratefulness. Baby Jenny is laying on the dog, dozing.

PLUTO DOG: O humble human! May you be forever blessed by the Cryptic Cryogenically-Preserved Creator, who -

APOLLO: Erm - I donŐt mean to be rude, but could you get to the point? We have to be home by 6 or we're in the doghouse. (No offence.)

[PAGE 5, PANEL 3]

Close up of Pluto Dog, who looks positively regal. In the background, a visual representation of his story.

PLUTO DOG: None taken, esteemed earthling. Our planet has done so many long dog laps around the Sun, it seems to have gotten dizzy and fallen out of orbit. No one has answered our high-pitched distress signals. As the Best on Planet, Blue Ribbon Top Dog of Pluto, I beseech you - please help us.

[PAGE 5, PANEL 4]

Apollo is mulling it over, chin in hand. Pluto Dog is very excited and has adopted the pose of a pointer. Baby Jenny, still lying on the dog, is just waking up.

APOLLO: Alright. I have an idea. First, we have to fetch your planet.

PLUTO DOG: Let me point the way!

[PAGE 6, PANEL 1]

The party of three fly toward the planet Pluto, which has crater formations that make it look vaguely like the face of a cartoon dog. Our view is slightly above and behind the party. We see part of Baby Jenny's and Apollo's faces as they turn up to talk to Pluto Dog. Pluto Dog is looking slightly behind to talk to them.

PLUTO DOG: Welcome to my planet, beauteous bipeds!

BABY JENNY: PLUTO! APOLLO: I never imagined it would look like this!

[PAGE 6, PANEL 2] Hovering just above Pluto's stratosphere. Apollo sits Baby Jenny on Pluto Dog's back.

APOLLO (pre-occupied, looking down at the planet, which is off panel): Can you watch Baby J for a sec? I'll be right back.

[PAGE 6, PANEL 3]

We see Apollo's legs (from calves to toes) in the upper right-hand corner as he flies off. There is a gap of open space between him and Pluto Dog and Baby Jenny, who are in profile in the bottom left-hand corner. Pluto Dog is clearly edging to follow Apollo. Baby Jenny has adopted the dog's anticipatory expression.

[PAGE 6, PANEL 4]

Same composition as above. Except we see Apollo's hand sternly giving an order. Pluto Dog has a hang-dog expression. So does Baby Jenny.

APOLLO (forcefully): Stay!

Page 7

[PAGE 7, PANEL 1]

One of those classic Superman-style panels. Apollo pushes the planet, really putting his weight into it. It's not easy, but it's budging.

[PAGE 7, PANEL 2]

Same perspective. Apollo pulls back and cranes his neck as if he's checking his progress.

[PAGE 7, PANEL 3]

Repeat Page 7, Panel 1.

[PAGE 7, PANEL 4]

Same perspective. Apollo pulls back and appears to check his watch.

[PAGE 7, PANEL 5]

Same perspective. Apollo has one hand on the planet. The rest of him is twisted around to call Pluto Dog.

APOLLO: Pluto Dog, come! Here boy!

Page 8

[PAGE 8, PANEL 1]

Apollo has one hand on the planet, the rest of him is twisted around to talk to Pluto Dog. His other hand is outstretched, inviting Baby Jenny to take it. There is a globe of light in his hand. Pluto Dog has rushed to get here. He's panting and his tail wags fiercely. It must have been quite the ride, judging from Baby Jenny's expression.

APOLLO: I can move it, but not fast enough. Pluto Dog, back up a bit. This could be dangerous. Jenny, I want you to do something very brave.

[PAGE 8, PANEL 2]

Apollo holds a globe of light.

APOLLO: I know your other daddy doesn't like it when you leap all over the house, but it's okay just this once.

[PAGE 8, PANEL 3]

Baby Jenny looks conflicted. This is shown by the finger she puts to her chin to think (just as Apollo does from time to time). She and Pluto Dog are bathed in the golden light of Apollo's orb.

APOLLO (voice over): Take my hand - don't worry, we won't tell your other daddy. It'll be our secret.

[PAGE 8, PANEL 4]

Baby Jenny dismounts tentatively from Pluto Dog. PLUTO DOG (a fond look that says, "May Dog be with you.") BABY JENNY (a look that says, "I don't know if this is really my stop, but thanks for the ride.")

[PAGE 8, PANEL 5]

Close up of Baby Jenny, taking a big breath. She is golden-lit by the light that Apollo is holding.

APOLLO (off-panel): Come on, sweetie, you can do it! You're a big girl now. JUMP!
