Meet the man behind Jack-Of-All-Trades...

Dennis was born in Philadelphia, PA on the second of December 1958. His Italian upbringing has served him well in two career opportunities: the first chance was when he appeared fleetingly in "Fellini's Roma" early on in his career. He graduated from Temple University, after which he appeared on stage and in tv series.

His career got a real boost with "Breaking Away" (1979); he received Golden Globe nomination and the British Academy Award for his turn. He played an Indiana-born bicyclist who adopted Italian accent and mannerisms to draw attention to himself. Indeed, he was so convincing that he also won the Youth in Film Award, despite the fact that he was twentyfour at the time!

After these films Dennis starred in "Fade To Black" as a film maniac turned into a serial killer (practicing for Jack's role already?) and his next endeavour was "Don't Cry, It's Only Thunder", a film set in the Vietnam war, in which he depicted a dedicated doctor.

As a stage-trained actor, he's gotten around to performing in the theater as well. His latest stage appearance was "The Retribution" on Broadway in 1998. Earlier Dennis' acting talents had been righfully noted by the theater circles as well: he won the L.A. Drama Critics' Award for Best Lead Performance for "Breaking The Code". He has tried out his directing skills in the Los Angeles area in professional theater.

Dennis portrayed Sam's stalker Jack-Of-All-Trades in the first two seasons, and returned for five episodes later on in the third and fourth season. His talents, the character, the way Jack was shot with the black light and the publication of two Jack-related web sites all made sure he didn't lack fans.

Although he calls New York his home, his work keeps him in Los Angeles. He is single and his left ear is pierced twice.
