He went into college with a major in theater, but maintained his devotion to basketball all along. After graduating with a B.A. in Theater, Michael has guest starred "L.A. Law", "Frasier", "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "I'll Fly Away" (the drama Ian Sander produced in the beginning of the nineties!). Michael has also appeared on numerous stage productions throughout Los Angeles.
In 1995, Michael won a recurring character status on the drama "Sisters". He was Doctor Wes Hayes, who maintained a bi-racial romance with Sheila Kelley's character. He stayed on for one season, but the goddess Fortuna never left his side. "My last day on 'Sisters' was a Friday, and after I wrapped filming, I met with the producers of 'Profiler'. Next Monday, I was cast as Nathan for the series pilot."
Michael considered his character Nathan, lawyer turned into a police man, to be a bit cocky. "Nathan comes from a well-to-do family, and struggles within himself to blaze his own path. He's very self-assured and has a strong commitment to his job."
On his freetime, Michael still enjoys playing basketball, noting that his uncle once played for the Harlem Globetrotters in the 1950's. He's passionate about building model cars and is a voracious toy-collector with an appreciation for hot wheels and science fiction action figures. He has an eight-year-old son Jordan with his wife Stacey.
