Memorable lines
(about the serial arsonist)
Sam: "Maybe he's destroying perfection."
Bailey: "Guess I'd better lock my doors."
Sam: "I think you can rest easy, Bailey."

Nathan: "You can get all that from looking at a rat?"
Bailey: "As well as statistics, experience and six long years of training."

Sam: "I don't think this guy is a normal arsonist."
John: "Isn't that an oxymoron?"

(about Grace's husband Morgan)
Sam: "How long have you been married?"
Grace: "Twenty-two years. High school sweetheart, love of my life, father of my three poodles."

(earlier on John has said he should have known Sam would have a couch in her office)
John: "Nathan and I are gonna hit the streets, go banging on some doors. You wanna come along? See some real police work?"
Sam: "Oh, no. Thanks. I'd just slow you down, dragging that couch everywhere."

Grace: "You really know your freaks. I mean, that explains your fan mail."

Sam: "Ice cream! Very good, my daughter's living well."

Chloe: "You drove really fast, mom."
Sam: "Yes I did. I'm lucky I didn't get a ticket, huh?"

Bailey: "Not everyone with scars grows up to be a monster."

Bailey: "Hell, Sam, I've got petunias and a picket fence."
Sam: "I know... and I still find that very hard to believe."

TV reporter: "We're here at the scene of fire number 8, speaking with a member of the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force. Special Agent?"
Sam: "Samantha, Samantha Waters."
John: "What the hell is she doing?"
Bailey: "Taking her life back."

Trivia
The make-up artist who supplied the series with the burn scars on Kevin Monk (Seth Peterson) and Toby the Wick's (John Diehl) stump hand is Brian Penikas. Here is a photo of Seth with his make-up on.
The song song played in the background when Bailey shows Sam, Chloe and Angel their new home is called "On Saturday Afternoons in 1963". The artist is Rickie Lee Jones. Click here for the lyrics.
