24 March 2003 Secondary Schools championship The 9th running of this event took place at Woodhill Forest yesterday. And the first entrant ever from the correspondence school was myself. The race started at 11am with about 30 other boys in the senior category we took off up the fast and flowing [not to mention sandy] conifer loop trail. Morning rain had dampened the sand down making it rather different from the practice the day before. After the first lap I was down in 22nd place but got up to 16th after lap2, lap 3 I was 14th, but 3 crashes later [and a sore leg] I didn't know where I was. On the 4th and final lap I cruised home to 16th overall [provisional] and set a time of 1 hour 24minutes. Official results / Photos
