Alistair was born on 21 July 1971 in Walsall / West Midlands. He was a scholarship student at Mountview Theatre School in London graduating in June 1993.

In London's West End his leading roles include HUGO in Aspects of Love (first national tour and Alistair's professional debut), MARIUS in the London production of Les Misérables for 15 months, CAPTAIN WALKER in the original cast of Tommy. Alistair then was one of the original cast of four in the comedy Forbidden Broadway. In the year 2000 he was touring the UK with the musical Pride & Prejudice playing MR. BINGLEY. Alistair then played the part of CAPTAIN ALBERT LENNOX and understudied the part of ARCHIBALD CRAVEN in the RSC production of The Secret Garden in 2000/2001. After that he played JACK in Where is Charley at the Regent's Open Air Theatre, London. At the moment he's doing the tour of Beauty and the Beast, playing the lead role- THE BEAST.

Stage and television concerts: live duets with Kim Wilde on Pebble Mill, GMTV and London Tonight, guest apperances on Exclusive and Open House with Gloria Hunniford, lead soloist in The Music of the Night , the 10th anniversary concert of Les Misérables at the Royal Albert Hall, guest apperance with the cast of Beauty and the Beast on Blue Peter in January 2002.

Recordings: Some Enchanted Evening, Les Misérables (10th anniversary concert), The Secret Garden OLC, Man of La Mancha, Alistair duets the song "Without you" with Linzi Hately on her new album "True Colours" .
