Web activity

My net records for this day.

Here's my third or fourth picture posted on this site:

It relates to web activity because it has the subject of the internet in the pop up window. This may be familiar to anyone noticing my screen at home. It's my home PC screen with the pop up message that my PC is not connected to the net. I only use the web away from home. Again if that changes and I resume using the net from home I'll say so in the web logs.

The web log of my net activity is here.

I go to my art site sometimes but I can't list it in the logs because it has my name and address on it as I've mentioned before. And I don't want this All You Guys site to be known to the public.

Here's my net log.

I getting a new computer today, my second PC but it's low end - only about $250. I got it in case I go back on the net from home. If that happens I would use it for web activity. And I would continue to use my other more powerful PC for offline gaming, and business and art applications. It's better to have a non web PC for business and gaming applications that's free of web viruses which can slow down programs. I still haven't used the internet at home since August of last year. And I don't plan to for now.

But as I've said before I'm not sure when I'll have to go on the net in a hurry like if my small art business requires it. Or if I get friends that I have to talk to often on the web. Until then I can use the new PC for backups and some business programs. It's not very powerful for games so it won't be used for gaming except for things like MS installed card games, Minesweeper, Pinball, etc.

Web records for me today.

I started up my art website today but it takes up to two days for new sites to be recognized and viewed. The site will be unnamed due to security reasons. It has my name and address. Sorry about that you guys, I had the url up for a few minutes on this site. It's been removed. But it's ok to put up a photo of one of my paintings here on the All You Guys site.

It's apparent the comparison of my manual list of visited websites to the extensive list of the web loggers is kind of sad. But it's not unprecedented. I've said before months ago here that listing urls manually will not be a very complete list. So I'm just going back to where I was before I started using web activity loggers.

Records of my web use today.

Here's my first movie on this site. It's shows my dsl modem. It's been disconnected from the internet since August 2006 as I've mentioned before. I haven't used the net at home since then. I figure since my modem is very much related to the subject of web activity it should be mentioned in this section of today's entries. Even though I don't use the modem it's still a web activity component. The relflection on the glass table of the little flashing red light of the modem indicates no net connection. The white phone line to the right is the unplugged dsl line.

I still keep the power to the modem and the router to the left plugged in all these months. That's to make it faster to get on the net in case I decide to use the net from home. But mainly it's so that if my dad or some girlfriend or whoever visits they won't think anything is wrong or fishy like they may if they saw the modem and router unplugged. And if anyone asks why the dsl line is not connected I would just say I keep it unplugged when away from home which is a normal security practice anyway. The green lights on the modem and the router show the power is on.

As I've said before I don't know how long I'll be able to stay off the net at home. If I start a home business or get a girlfriend or more friends then I'll probably have to jump back on the web from home. If the whole movie doesn't play at first then download the whole 14 mb then play it. It's just under 40 seconds long.

My web logs from MCSD.

As noted in the introduction to this All You Guys site I won't use web loggers to record my net activity unless it's from home. So I've manually entered sites I've visited today in the log above.

Web activity

Here's today's web report from USD.

There's a web url that appears to be missing from today's log. Same for a few other past days with a similar log report. I haven't edited out any sites I've visited. I only copy the section of websites recorded from the new web logger I'm using.

This part should go under web activity because my art project is reducing the amount of time I spend on the web. Today or the next two days is when I complete the first two paintings. Not many amateur artists or people are fortunate enough to have a father who would pay over $500 to fund their abstract art. My dad did that to my surprise. He always felt I had a future in art but I never asked him to fund this expensive kind of art until a couple weeks ago.

It takes a lot of costly paint to create the paintings. I don't apply the paint with a brush which would cost much less to do. I press the canvas onto a tray which contains the paint and pull the canvas up off the tray. And in that instant the shapes, the color blending and the entire work is created. I turn over the painting face up as soon as possible and let it dry. If the painting looks bad or unacceptable then about $150 is down the drain. And I'd have to do another one. My dad has accepted that as a risk in this kind of art.

It's abstract art consisting of a very natural look of shapes that appear to be leaves, flowers (mostly orchids,) waves, water, waterfalls, fire, smoke or ash depending on the colors used. The latter three are achieved usually with red, yellow and black colors blended. For waves and water I would generally use blue and white. And I will make an all white and an all black painting. But up close the all white and all black ones should look amazing with the plant/flower/waves shapes shining in various places as light reflects off the ridges and valleys of the thick acrylic white or black paint.

I've waited over 10 years to make an all white and all black version. Just never had the chance with working in drafting or the computer field and as I said it's an expensive way to create art. Now I'm a driver (courier) and it doesn't pay much to support this art project. So if anyone sees me taking an all white or all black canvas painting out to the car to go to an art gallery, well if you could see them up close you would have a different impression.

And I haven't even made the paintings yet. That's for later today or over the weekend depending on when the gloss coat dries. The gloss coat helps to make the painting glossy as if the glow is coming from under the colors on top. The colors including the black and white will have also gloss added to give most of the glossy effect. Acrylic paint alone is dull, so gloss gel is a must to make it shine and look alive.

And the third painting will have various colors like blue, red, purple, yellow, orange and green. It will depict a volcano erupting underwater. The green will represent seaweed or undersea plants. I'll post the titles of the three works here if they are accepted on consignment at an art gallery. And I hope someone will take them on consignment.

And in case anyone is wondering why I just didn't take out $500 or $1,000 from my funds to start the project, well it's not that simple. I have some of it in an IRA and if my dad found out I withdrew from an IRA account for art he would be furious and rightly so. And the bulk of my retirement money should probably be for retirement and not art. It's in different accounts than the much smaller IRA.

But more importantly the bigger accounts are joint accounts with my dad. And he probably would have objected to spending any of it for art considering it's his money and well as mine. So I never asked him to fund it until recently. And all of my jobs never paid enough for me to do this kind of art on a bigger scale with large canvases like the 32" by 32" ones I'm doing now. And of course I spent a lot of my money on home computers and software. Now he's decided to fund the art from his own accounts after I finally asked him a couple weeks ago.

Ok you guys I really didn't want to include this part but since you can see me doing the art with EMR inlcuding IR well here goes. I suppose you could Google this art production method to see if what I said above is legit. Or you could be looking for an art expert within the government. And just what if the expert demanded to see where my writing above came from. What if he or she wanted to see this website to better evaluate me? Maybe you guys can't afford to show him or her this site because he or she may go directly to the media with all of this. Just Google it, you'll find everything about this kind of art work to be just as I said.
