How: Alpha Rho Lambda Sorority, Inc / Alianza de Raíces Latinas will be supporting the 2nd Annual Harvard College Latina Empowerment Conference being hosted by Latinas Unidas de Harvard.
The Harvard College Latina Empowerment Conference is designed to connect career-minded individuals with successful Latina role models who radiate positive ideals and represent the larger Latino community. The conference is an all-day event that aims to encourage the professional endeavors of Latina undergraduates, graduate students, and professionals. The speakers will address the social, political, and economic issues that Latinas face today and motivate them toward the achievement of excellence in their future careers. We encourage all who can to support this conference.

How: The Hermanas of Beta Chapter present their Latino Culture Show. The evening includes a talent show, Latino catered buffet and party. Our show has featured many acts of music, poetry, dancing, singing, and a display of cultural artifacts. Proceeds go to Beta Chapter's Young Latina Excellence Scholarship Fund.

How: A program designed to introduce a variety of career and internship options to Latinos in college, as well as to give them an opportunity to network with Latinos already in their field of interest. Latino professionals from an array of different fields will speak about the work force and their experiences throughout and after college. The event will feature resume critiques, internship, scholarship, and networking opportunities. Brunch served.

What: Bell Foundation-Tutoring
Where: Various locations in the Cambridge/Boston area.
How: The Hermanas of Beta Chapter participate as tutors with the Bell Foundation.
What: Book and Resource Collection/Archive
Where: Latino Center
How: An archive available to the Latino community at Tufts University containing course books and/or any other resources for the purpose of alleviating some of the financial burdens on the students.
