Alpha Rho Lambda Sorority, Inc./Alianza de Raices Latinas was established to develop a unique bond of sisterhood among our members, make significant contributions to our communities, and achieve personal growth through leadership and academic excellence.

Many Latinas in higer education have difficulty adjusting to the academic rigors and cultural isolation of a university setting. Alpha Rho Lambda recreates a sense of family for our members while they are away from home and encourages their academic and personal success. The support Hermanas receive from the sorority transcends the college experience and lasts a lifetime.

Alpha Rho Lambda's unique sisterhood stems from the foundation laid during the Membership Intake Process. This process is a structured program whose purpose is to develop bonds of sisterhood with Hermanas and other prospective members, to learn the history of the organization, to support academic achievement, to execute cultural and community service projects, and to encourage self-reflection and the development of leadership skills.

Beta Chapter is currently composed of women from Tufts University, Boston University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Simmons College and Northeastern University. We are continuing to grow and reach out to Latina women in the many schools of the Boston area. If you are interested in receiving more information, please email Beta Chapter.
