So when I first dreamt about Alonzo, I thought it was perfectly natural that he would eventually show up in the Dream World - everything else from my life does at some stage or another. In this first dream, he was my fiance. He was at my house meeting my family and then we decided to hide out in my old room for a while and there were knowing looks and whispers from the rest of my family.
Okay...so I could handle that dream. What I didn't expect was to be dreaming about him again. And again. And again. In most of the dreams, he has been my boyfriend/fiance/or just a really beautiful man that I picked up somewhere. *g* In many of these dreams I have kissed him. (Which, may I add, is absolutely wonderful!)
My mind goes into overdrive trying to analyze this. Are dreams a reflection of our outer desires? To disprove that, I counter that I was never particularly drawn to Alonzo before the dreams (and NOTE, I'm saying Alonzo and NOT Antonio because it is Alonzo whom I dream about).
Are the dreams a sign of future things to come? Often, I have dreamed of the future and know that it does happen. My personal experience is too strong to deny. My mother and several of my sisters also share this dreaming trait - it leads to fascinating discussions!
So - am I destined to meet someone who looks/acts like Alonzo in the future? One can only hope!
To conclude this miniature analysis/essay (and well done if you're still reading) I'll leave you with the latest dream. I think this was inspired by The X-Files Movie and the season finale of The Nanny (which I only watched to see the wedding!) - it had elements of both in it!
Alonzo, Junie (my sister) and I were FBI agents, chasing a train through the wild country. We knew that something vitally important was on it, if only we could reach it. We were on foot chasing it a long way when we reached a seaside town lying in picturesque foothills (oh, it was beautiful. I want to go there someday!) The three of us raced around the final corner so that we could see the ocean. In the distance, to the north, the train was chugging up a hill which ended in a huge cliff over the sea. I watched the train as it climbed, smoke streaming from its chimney, and it didn't stop. It went over the edge and plunged into the ocean.
We watched in horror because now the evidence was lost. By then, the three of us were standing on the dock above the blue, blue sea. It was a beautiful sunny day, about midday, and somehow, I fell off the dock into the ocean. I floundered in the water for a while - my white dress was pulling me down - but then Alonzo jumped in after me to save me. He put his arms around me, kissed me, and together we swam to safety.
Next - a Dream Warp to a completely different
world with different players, in the next dream I was an old man so that
has nothing more to do with Earth 2!
