Heru Storming-Sands

Silent Strider Ahroun

"Rage beyond Rage, fear beyond fear, time for children to run in tears, time for mothers to fall and cry, time for warriors to fight and die". A simple song from sung only by the Ahroun Heru Storming-Sands, Harbringer from the Silent Striders. It can be heard before him as he wanders through the forests.

Heru is the son of the late Leon Laughs-At-Death, who's death was but one of the things that pushed this once highly intelligent Silent Strider over the edge. Now to things concern him; his own survival, and even above that, the Mother of All, Gaia.

Heru once ran in the pack of the Wandering Sands with his father, but when they came to a cross-roads (literally, not figuratively) Heru left the pack. He has roamed the earth alone since then, occasionally making friends, though making many more enemies. His warnings of the Wyrm's treachery snatching many victories from the Corruptors jaws. It was a rare occasion for him to stay in one place longer than a single moon, usually asking only to warm himself by a septs fire before moving on the next day. Things changed one day as a messenger arrived with a letter from Laughs-At-Death, that was far to cryptic to lead to anything good. Heru set out for the place the messenger came from, Ashland.

It was raining the night he arrived. Heru could not thank the spirits more as the rain hid the tears that fell as he learned that his father, the Garou that had truly earned his name, had Laughed once to often. The rain hid his tears as he prepared his fathers body in the traditional ways of the Ancient Egyptians. Heru swore to stay in the Land of Ash until the murderer was found and given the same fate.

However, he learned soon after who the murderer was, the "Bringer-of-the-Storm", Ik'Cha. Heru left the sept, but not the city, one his own personal hunt for the Black Spiral Dancer. To this day, Heru is the only member of the sept to successfully track down Ik'Cha. The fight was long and hard, but in the end, Heru lay, unconscious in an alley of the Barrens. Forever baring the mark of his pride, the right side of his face heavily scarred by Balefire. He was the perfect target to kill, but Ik'Cha let him live, spitting in the face of Gaia.

However, everyone suffers from pride. Heru has recently been given a duty by the spirit of one of the former Alphas of the Sept of the Bleeding Hart, which could strengthen the power of Gaia, and bring the Wyrm to it's knees.
