The Plains You walk along the meadow looking out at the sea that lies just beyond the ledge. Be spite your best efforts you can still see the massive cliff that falls into the sea. A strange ringing laugher fills the air and you look in all directions, but can't see anything. The laughter seems to become louder. Finally you look up. Hovering high above you is a brown and white pinto Pegasus with a lime green mane. Now you can see the laughing figure. The mare is laughing so hard she nearly falls out of the air. You stare up at her, shielding your eyes from the bright sun,"Would you mind coming down?" The mare doesn't stop laughing,"Are you sure you want me to?" The mare flies a little closer to the ground. You notice that it's eyes are glittering with mischief. You are a little wary, but you don't see what the mare could do to you. You shout back,"Yes! My voice is starting to hurt from shouting!" The mare grins, then dives. You watch the dive calmly until you realize that the mares current path will land her right on you. Too shocked to move you gape as the pinto mare goes zooming over your head. You manage to duck as she goes by. You hear a thump behind you. Turning around you see that the mare has made a clean landing about four feet from where you are standing. She smiles and says,"Well, I'm down." You nearly faint, what was the mare thinking?! She could have smashed you flat! You open your mouth to ask the pinto that very question when the mare folds her wings neatly and says,"My name is Ea'Tzric. Nice to meet you." You just stare for a moment. The mare assumes your silence is a hint to go on. "It means Sea Song. I'm a Orania Pegasus." You recover from your shock,"Are you insane?! I could have been flattened! Or died of a heart attack! Or..." The mare stops you,"Relax! I've done that millions of times." You glare at her,"Millions? Yeah right." She snorts angrily,"I have to! Besides, I'm naturally gifted. It comes with being of Earth and Breeze Thymes." You are confused,"Thymes? I thought Thyme was a herb!" Ea'Tzric shake her head slowly,"No dumy. Thymes are traits that are passed down. They're gifts. I'm both Breeze and Air Thyme. That means that I'm really good at flying and I'll make a good scout when I'm older. I'm very responsible, I would make a good second in command. I'm also good with my hooves." You are impressed,"You get all that from two Thymes?" She nods,"There're a whole bunch of other ones. Some make you a good singer others make you a good dancer. I just have two but some Orania have three." You nod. The Orania mare prances eagerly and then wings into the air, "I'm gona go practice again. Cya Wanderer!" You wave as she flies away. You could continue to follow the path or you could check out the strange noises coming from a nearby bush.
