King James Bible, New Testament

I'm starting an on-line prayer list, drop by, leave a few burdens, maybe pick up a few of someone else's.

Hello and Welcome all you Netsurfers!

Welcome to JP's Page of Average Stuff.  Hopefully, you'll feel that this is a misnomer.  These days, the amount of my stuff is increasing quite a bit, and hopefully none of it's average. Unfortunately, none of it is right here. My personal creations are all dwelling at my SR site.

As far as personal info goes, my name is John, I'm a high school graduate (woo-hoo!), currently a freshman in college (d'oh!) at Rose - Hulman Institute of Technology. My interests include video games (both computer and game system varieties), RPG's (namely Shadowrun), and... THE PURSUIT OF THE MEANING OF LIFE!!!!(just kidding - I already know what the meaning of life is :). I also enjoy reading books,  fishing, and just generally wasting my time doing nothing at all. If you're really interested in finding out about me ...

Poker Proverb: A Smith and Wesson beats four Aces :)

Deep Thought: There is always a choice.

Things which have been updated...

08-26-97: recently completed a move to Geocities. What do you think?
I've added an on-line prayer list. If you'd like to add a few items that God has laid upon your heart, let me know.
The text-only version of the page has been dropped. I don't think anybody's using it, so it will no longer exist. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. (05-27-97)

Other (cool) stuff:

Rose-Hulman - A fine school (perhaps I'm biased:) where they run you like a dog. Rose is a great place, but the workload is absolutely phenomenal. If you're looking for a good education in engineering, it's probably the place to be. If you're looking for a college education without lots of work involved ... go somewhere else:)
A more recent personal page for yours truly on the Rose server. Note: this link goes to a page that uses Style Sheets. If your browser doesn't support style sheets (specifically, CSS), you'll want to click here instead.

The Wheel of Time FAQ, currently updated to match up with A Crown of Swords
My own musings on the Wheel of Time
The Tor Webpage - the nice people who publish RJ's books. Find up to date release info here, like when A Path of Daggers is due out.
alt.fan.robert-jordan - A newsgroup for net-based Jordanites. Share your theories on the DO, the Wheel of Time, the Karaethon cycle, and various other things more or less related to the Wheel of Time.
alt.wheel.of.time - A newsgroup for RPing within an alter-Randland. A fairly friendly bunch of folks, all told.

The Bare Bones Guide to HTML - This one's exactly what it says: a bare-bones guide to HTML. Currently, all the HTML 3.2 tags in general use are listed and a HTML 4 guide is being worked on. This is a great resource for those of you who are budding web page designers.

Jihad to Destroy Barney-Some links to Doom sites, so that you can pick up any Doom patches you want, and if you're really bored, there's always the Barney Fun Page! Lots of fun:)

Troop 461's home page - Is it just me, or does no-one ever read what I put here? :) In any case, Troop 461 is the bunch of guys I spent Thursday nights with for about 7 or 8 years. Oh, yeah ... it's a Boy Scout troop:) Supposedly, the troop leaders are attempting to turn the webpage over to the boys, but I don't know how well they're doing at finding a webmaster among the scouts. This is also a good place to find information on the Crusade for Children, a charity which benefits disabled kids.

Webcrawler's my fav search engine, but when I don't want to find out how many other contexts a word gets used in there's Yahoo!  And now...The Internet Yellow Pages! I think I'm even in most of those:)

Things to come at this home page (I hope)...

This page is a work in progress(like most Web pages) and may change at any time in any way, based upon my own whims, desires, thoughts, and ideas.  Be forewarned that any information may change subtly from time to time, and that it's wise to check back every so often in order to keep yourself abreast of the situation.
