Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: ''Til Death Do Us Part'

Sisko must decide whether to go against the Prophets when he is told not to marry Kasidy, Word and Ezri are tortured and discover new things about each other and themselves, and Dukat arrives in disguise and begins his temptation of Kai Winn.

Lots of decisions in this episode, with the repercussions not clear until later on in the season, no doubt. It's good to finally see Worf and Ezri sort out their feelings after half the season, and also interesting that Sisko has a more difficult choice to make when wondering whether to disobey the Prophets than the last time, which of course resulted in Jadzia's death. His final choice is full of bad forebodings from the Prophet once known to his father as Sarah, Ben 's mother.

After spending the last few years making occasional appearances, it's great to see Kai Winn get a more meaty plotline. Her seduction by Dukat is quite creepy, as you know the disguised Cardassian has arranged everything to suit his ends, although we still don't know exactly what those are. Clearly, he has managed to work some kind of deal with the Pah Wraiths to their mutual benefit. It's good to see the scheming Gul back as well after his more scattered recent appearances.

This is a more involved story than Penumbra, getting much more intimately into the characters involved, and showing each person coming to terms with certain aspects of themselves, including Damar, who is clearly getting tired of being pushed around by Weyoun. It's all starting to come together...
