Despite those suspected of being Resistance members being released by the Taelons, several are still missing and Liam must worked with Renee to find them.
A semi-continuation of Crackdown, this episode concentrates more on what is happening to Lili, but it also reveals at last some of what Sandoval has been up to behind-the-scenes these last few years, and not before time. This season has a really good feeling about it in the way it is making use of the available characters. Von Flores has long deserved a trip into the limelight, and although it is not revealed just what he is doing to Lili, the experiments conducted on her are horrible, and aspects of her transformation shown gradually and frighteningly. It's also interesting to see the next phase of the Taelon technologies we are already familiar with, such as CVIs.
The episode is let down a little by the main plot, as we never learn much about any of Sandoval's prisoners, making it all a little bit impersonal. However, there is some impressive action towards the end of the episode to liven things up a bit. Jayne Heitmeyer seems to have settled into the role of Renee with apparent ease; already she's proving to be a tough character and not just a straight replacement for Lili. What I want to know, though, is where is Lili going? I suppose I'll just have to wait and see.
