Highlander: The Raven: 'The Devil You Know'

An Immortal thief seeks more than Amanda's help when a valuable diamond arrives in the city. However, Nick is trying to catch the same Immortal, and he's not giving up.

This is starting to get overly familiar. Amanda tries to do something illegal and Nick tries to stop her. On the other hand, how can Amanda earn money without indulging in her chosen profession? There's some jealousy between the Immortal Hansen and Nick, especially when the former cop realizes the potential in him when Hansen tries to blow Nick up.

It's all terribly predictable as we see Amanda have a crisis of confidence, Nick try to take out an Immortal solo with a degree of success, and the usual running, jumping and chasing. The attempt to bring Nick and his former boss Carl into the plot borders on the pointless, simply allowing an Immortal the chance to escape for a change, thereby providing Nick with his first Immortal enemy. Sadly, it seems that that's the only point of this tale, which, although well-executed, doesn't get beyond the basics. The only saving grace is dear sweet Lucy, aka Patricia Gage, who gets more fantastic dialogue to deliver with her usual aplomb.
