Star Trek: Voyager: '11.59'

Neelix asks Janeway about her ancestors, prompting the Captain's reminiscence of a woman who was instrumental in the construction of a Millennium Gate back in the year 2000.

This is officially the dullest episode of Voyager this season. Just as anything vaguely interesting looks like it might happen, it doesn't. There's no chemistry between Janeway's ancestor and Henry Janeway, making it extremely unlikely that this totally mismatched couple even dated, let alone got married, settled down and had kids.

If Janeway had somehow interacted with her ancestor, this could have been more interesting, but watching a bunch of people argue about whether Henry will leave his shop or not is extremely tedious. There's nothing happening on Voyager itself except the crew talking about how great their ancestors were and creating a new holiday rather tediously called Ancestor Day. It's not clear whether the story is trying to tell people to respect their ancestors or remember the past or what, but it doesn't encourage you to do anything other than fall asleep. Avoid this like the plague.
