From
Jl. Malioboro in Yogya, Mt. Merapi is visible in the distance. On
the way to Klaten you pass through Prambanan. Plan the first stop
at this beautiful temple complex.

After
Boyolali the road leads up into the mountains towards Selo, and
finally across the pass between Mt. Merapi and Merbabu. Sorry, no
pictures from the nice twisting parts, as driving was too much fun
to stop all the time to take fotos.

On
the way back you pass through Muntilan from where it is just a few
more km to the Borobudur temple. Enjoy the sunset before driving
back to Yogya.
