Artistic Gymnastics Academy of Manhattan April 6th-8th, 2007 Gyms from around the world are invited to attend the New York International Invitational. The competition will consist of team, all-around, and event finals competitions. Teams can represent a gym or an entire country and can be comprised of up to 5 gymnasts. All gymnasts are welcome to compete as many events as they would like but only the top 3 scores on each event will count towards the team total. The competition will have 3 age groups (see info below) and gyms/countires can send as many teams as they would like. The top 8 gymnasts on each event on Day 1 will advance to event finals. Requirments: The New York International Invitational will use the elite COP so all registered gymnasts must submit appropriate elite SVs. Gymnasts who are not elites are welcome to compete but please make their SVs appropriate and inline with the NTC specifications. Age Groups: The competition will tentatively be divided into 3 age groups but changes will be made as registration forms are submitted. Currently the age groups are: Child: 12-13 (1994 & After) Junior: 14-15 (1992-1993) Senior: 16 & Up (1991 & Before) Gymnasts born in 1992 who have chosen to compete senior this year are welcome to compete in the senior division. Schedule: April 2nd-4th: All Day: Arrival & Registration, Open workout April 5th: 9am-5pm: Arrival & Registration, Open workout 6:30pm: Welcome banquet April 6th: 8am-8pm: Podium Training April 7th: 10am: Child Team/All-Around Competition 2pm: Junior Team/All-Around Competition 6pm: Senior Team/All-Around Competition April 8th: 10am: Child Event Finals 2pm: Junior Event Finals 6pm: Senior Event Finals |
