neat  something that is very interesting, cool or is perfect.

nerd  Someone who is very intelligent; someone who does exceptionally well in school and does not usually participate in sports; someone who is not cool.

nerd  Someone who does or says something stupid.

Newfie  Canada;  Someone from the Province of Newfoundland (East Coast of Canada); some who is not very smart.

no joke USA; Pittsburgh, PA; taking all matters as seriously as possible when dealing with a certain subject.   "This guy has been studying every night since he's  been here; he ain't no joke with his schoolwork!"

nose candy  cocaine (the illegal drug)

ock  USA; Pittsburgh, PA; rarely used synonym for Holmes.

on the nose  exact.

on time  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  when events seem to fall in just as the right moments. "That cancelled class was right on time; now I can go to that party tonight!"

party pooper  a person who leaves a party early.

patsy  a scapegoat, someone who takes the blame for another's wrongdoing, whether she/she actually participated or not.

play out  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  to use so much that it will eventually fade out.  "Are you listening to Curtis Blow? He's played out!"

pogey  Canada; means:  Unemployment Insurance (now called Employment Insurance).

posse  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  one's own circle of friends.

poverty pack  Canada;  A six pack of beer (six cans or bottles).

psyche  alternative for saying, 'just kidding'.

pump up  to make livlier; to fill with energy.

push  USA; Pittsburgh, PA; synonym for break.

pyro  a pyromaniac, someone who likes to start fires.

rabbit ears, rabbit's ears  indoor television antennae.

rage  a huge party held in out of the way warehouses etc where teenagers and young adults overindulge in alcohol, illegal drugs and sex.

ran together  U.S.A., Texas;  collided. Two 18-wheelers ran together on the highway, and they had to shut traffic down for six hours to clean up the mess.

raunchy  loud music; also means to be horny

retread  a tire that has been rebuilt.

ride  a specific means of transportation, usually one's  own automobile.

ride a jock  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  when a female attempts to get to know a male of her own peer group with the intentions of ultimately
having a relationship with that person because of his  personality, not his material possessions.

Right on!  refers to:  positive approval of an action.

righteous  cool.

rip-snorter  an excellent thing.

rollies  hand rolled or homemade cigarettes.

rugrat  a baby who has learned how to crawl.

running it USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  in music:  playing a song over and over again to the point of getting tired of hearing it."That's the 6th time I've heard that song  today; they're running it!"

rush  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  to gang up on a particular person

screw  to make love.

screwed in the left ear  to have been taken advantage of, in big trouble

sell out  not capitalizing on a golden opportunity.

shades  sunglasses.

skeezer  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  a person, usually a female, who attempts to have a relationship with a member of the opposite sex only for his/her material possessions to make an impression on other people.

slice  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  rarely used synonym for Holmes.

slide  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  to hit someone with enough velocity that they fall to the ground.

soft  USA; Pittsburgh, PA; 1) partially or totally intoxicated; drunk; high. 2) weak, timid, not able to defend oneself.

special  a discounted item in a store.

speedos  men's swimming trunks.

spittin' nails  extremely angry.

squad  in sports: one's own group or team.  "My squad is gonna win this volleyball game!"

step 'n sop   Eastern Canada;  A dance.

strung out  to be under the influence of illegal drugs.

sucked in  to be duped, conned.

suck face  to french kiss using the tongue.

sucker  USA; Pittsburgh, PA; one who perpetrates; someone who has a lack of knowledge on certain subjects. "Look, sucker, you've messed with me long enough!

Sugar Daddy  a cocaine dealer. In the 1960's meant a rich man who supported a younger woman.

swap spit   to kiss.

take out   USA; Pittsburgh, PA; bringing humor to someone."That girl takes me out with that wild hairdo."

Texas mickey  Canada; A 128 ounce bottle of liquor.

This ain't my first time at the rodeo!  U.S.A., Texas;   I have done this (or that) before.

thingamajig  The word you use as a substitute for the name of something you have forgotten or don't know.

thorough  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;  1) synonym for decent used when referring to a person.  2) attempting to 'get smart' with someone.

trashed   to totally destroy something.  He trashed the car when it hit the wall.  They trashed the hotel room because they were angry.

trip  1)one that  brings humor to someone.  "The girl with the funny hairdo is a trip." 2) to take illegal drugs

tripping  USA; Pittsburgh, PA;   synonym for bugging.

tub  a bath, but also refers to a shower.

tubbie  Canada;  to have a bath or a shower.

tubular  cool.

twisted  Canada, U.S.A.;  something that is very interesting; as in neat.
