Newburgh 28 June 1817 The Undersigned Com
missioners of Common Schools for the town of
Newburgh having met and having before them
reports as received on or before the first of April
by the then Commissioners from districts No 1.2.
3.5.6.7.9.10.11.12.13.14 & part of No 4 & part of No 8,
annexed to No 2 in Shawangunk. Resolved that the
money received during the present year be divided
amongst those districts according to law

We the undersigned two of the Commissioners of Common
Schools for the town of Montgomery in the County of Orange
do hereby consent to annex that part of district No 5
beginning at and on the line between the towns of New-
burgh and Montgomery at a a point southeast from the
house of John Knapp; thence west to the Highway;
thence along the Highway to the Northerly side of said
house; thence easterly on a straight line to the town of
Newburgh, including the family of the said Knapp,
to district No 10 of Common Schools in the town of New
burgh - June 6th 1817

have agreed to annex School District No 5
in the Town of Marlborough to District No 14
in the Town of Newburgh the School house
to be in the Town of Marlborough - and David
Staples Nathl Wygant Ira Staples Michael
Wygant 2nd S[ ] Lockwood William Lockwood
and Barnard Bond if he request to be exempt
from Any Part of the expence of Building said
School House but to have the Privilege of sending
their Children to the School whenever they
please

At a meeting of the Commissioners of
Common Schools for Newburgh reports having
been received by them in due time from all the
districts and parts of districts in the town resolved
that the reports of all the districts and parts of dis-
tricts except of district number eight be accepted
as proper and sufficient and that the money re-
ceived this year be distributed among those districts
and parts of districts whose reports are legal, in
proportion to the number of children reported

The said Commissioners having before them reports
from all the districts and parts of districts of said
Town as received within the time required by law it
was resolved that the said reports be accepted
as they contain all the requisites required by
law And that all money received and to be
received during the current year be divided
amongst the said districts according to Law

We the undersigned
Inhabitants of School district number eight in
said town considering that we will be materially
benefitted thereby do pray that the following part
of said district number eight may be set off from
the same and attached to and made a part of
School district number seven in said town. Viz.
Beginning at a point in the northerly line thereof
in front of the northeast corner of John D Nicholls
land running thence along said Nicholls
east and south lines to the east line of Cornelius
D Woods land; thence along his east line to his
south east corner thence along this south line and
the south line of Hugh Spiers land to the west.
line of the said district thence along it to the north
west corner of said district and thence along the
north line of said district to the place of begin-
ning - Dated October 21st 1820

seventh day of february 1821
The petition of the trustees and Inhabitants
of School district number four in said town
having been read, praying that said district
may be dissolved and a part thereof be attached
to district number two and the residue to num-
be fourteen; the said Commissioners having seen
fit to grant the prayer of said petition do hereby
order and resolve that said district number four
be and the same is hereby dissolved and all
that part thereof lying south of the north of Sam-
uel Purdy's farm and of a line drawn in continuation
thereof to the west bounds of said district number
four be and the same is hereby attached to and
made a part of district number two in the Said
town, and all the rest and residue of said dis-
trict number four be and is hereby annexed to
and made part of district number fourteen
in said town

At a meeting of the commissioners of
common schools of the town of NewBurgh
on the sixteenth day of July 1821 reports
having been received from districts Number
1.2.3.5.6.7.8.9.10.11.12.13 part of No 9 annexed
to No 2 in the town of Shawangunk & from
No 14 annexed to No 5 in marlborough
with in the time requird by Law which
reports having been examined by the
Commissioners and found to contain all
requisites required by the law except the
report from district number Nine which
is deficient, it was resolved that the money
received the present year be divided ac-
cording to law among all the said dis-
tricts and parts of districts except district
Number Nine which district is not enti
=tled to receive any money this year
