2005 Annual Nubla Outing: Oxnard Beach Park
John's 27th Birthday

We went to Oxnard Beach Park for our annual family outing, our first without Pop. It was on Sunday, August 7, 2005, which was John's birthday, so we celebrated that as well. Again, we had a bunch of lobster, crab, and steak, but this time we had the added bonus of a rich triple-layer chocolate birthday cake thanks to Susan, John's mother and Gladys's mother-in-law. Jim barbequed the amazing steaks. Abigail's parents-in-law, Richard and Josephine, were able to join us as well, and they brought the wonderful fruit--including fresh lychee imported from China! Although Denny wasn't able to come, Sig's friend Dave was a great addition (especially since he brought some balls to throw around and his joining in allowed us to play 3-on-3 touch football). This time there are pictures of the siblings tricycle biking and playing around on the grass and beach. All photos were taken by John's father and Gladys's father-in-law, Jim (except for one, but it was still taken with his new digital camera).
